Aug 2, 2010I am trying to increase my volume for the handset. I have the original factory codes set at:
0 = -16db
1 = -12db
2 = -8db
3 = -4db
4 = 0
5 = 4
When I go into the master settings to change the RX volume codes, I can not figure out how to make a negative number. Can someone help me get in the right direction to change the volume settings? My volume is so low, I can barely hear when on the phone.

May 29, 2010The volume button won't turn the volume up but you can turn it down. i took it to verizon and they ordered another one, should be here Wednesday so thats good. anyone else have this problem? they said at the store that this is the first they've seen with the volume button. i think it may be due to the verizon silicone case and the how the volume button is covered, maybe we've been mashing down on it too hard? either way its getting replaced so I'm happy. on another note on that same phone friendstream won't load, it keeps force closing everytime you try to open it. anyone had this problem?

Feb 21, 2010My wife is going to pop out a mini me in about 2 weeks. She wants (desperately) to have an "all natural" birth experience. In order to deal with the pain, she is using a program called "Hypno-Babies", which consists of a series of hypno-induction preparedness CDs, and then a "Birthing" CD to listen to."You feel no pain. Your pelvis is not splitting. Your vagina is not tearing..." I'm being as supportive as possible, as I have a role in this as well, but this is our second, and I know she's going to be asking for the epi about 2 hours into it!She wants to use her Droid to listen to the CD while she is in labor. The problem is that any distraction through the Droid will have an impact on the whole thing. (If the incoming messages notification sounds like a chicken, she might come out of all this clucking!) Well, maybe not that bad, but it will screw up her concentration.I use Sound Manager on mine, but I need to make sure that there's absolutely no chance that my wife's Droid does anything other than behave like an mp3 player.

Oct 18, 2010I always keep my system volume turned all the way down. I don't know why anyone would want their phone to make obnoxious sounds when turning off. When do most people turn their phones off? Church, movies, meetings, basically anytime you want it to be QUIET. Anyway, I digress.
Something keeps turning up my system volume. Often when my phone shuts down due to low battery I hear the stupid shutdown sound. I think it may also have happened a few times when powering the phone off manually. I am rooted and I know I could rename the files, but I am getting tired of working around the bugs on this thing and having to keep track of all the files I rename. I try to keep it as "stock" as possible.
Any ideas on what might be turning my system volume up?

When I play the file, it's played on the device's speaker, or else it plays through headphones if they're plugged in. What I want to do is play the file so that it sounds to the user as if it's at the same volume level as a normal phone call. Is there a way to route playback so that the file is played through the phone's ear piece instead of out of the speaker?

Jul 17, 2010I noticed that when turning down the volume of the ringer with the volume rocker it doesn't automatically turn down the notification volume as well. Is there a way to set the volume rocker to adjust both notification and ringer volume to the same level? You can test this by going under Settings/Sound and Display/Ringer Volume...and try adjusting the volume with the rocker and it only adjust the Ringer Volume.

Everything is running fine on my phone so far but with the exception of my clock's alarm volume.
For example:I set the alarm volume to max, I go and set my clock alarm to ring and when the alarm rings the volume is set to very low.When I check back to verify the volume, the volume is set to very low. I am very sure that I have set it to max though.
I have tried to reset my phone to factory settings, it didn't work..

But I noticed recently that suddenly the volume rocker only controls the Media Volume or the In-call volume (if you're in a call), not the Ringer Volume. I don't have anything playing, so not sure why it's like that. I want it to default to ringer and I'll worry about Media when I'm actually in a program that uses it.
