Man, for the life of me I can't find where to set number of screens in the latest ADW update.
Any help here, where do you set the number of screens in ADW?
I must be totally spacing out here.

Set it up last night and went through the basic set up screens that pop up automaticall. I set up the email account I use all the time but also set up a GMAIL account as I had read that Android really likes to sync with GMAIL. Once these were done I then set up a couple of things on the home screens and then thought right, time to get some apps. Clicked on the Market icon, selcted a couple of things to download, like google voice control app, clicked ok. Download seemed to start but withing 10 seconds in the notification bar I got an error saying download unsuccessful please try later.
Now basically all I have done is set up the very basics on a brand new phone, created a brand new GMAIL account, just with username and password, and thats it. I have also tried a full factory reset of the phone and starting over, but still no good. Is there something else I need to do, that the phone isn't prompting me to do or is there something wrong somewhere.
As the title suggest. I would like to have a certain wallpaper for my lock screen and something else for all of my other screens. how do i set this up?

I saw the different "scenes" that are pre-loaded but I was interested in how others have theirs set up. Right now mine are all sort of random as I haven't yet figured out a good system for me.
I saw someone had more than 3 screens on there droid an was wondering if anyone knew how i could set mine up this way?
View 3 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know how to setup shortcut icons to specific home screens? This includes using any launcher out there. I know you can't do it in TouchWiz, even though if you press on any of the home screen indicators (the dots at the top) you can fast path to that screen. I tried launcher pro - but could not figure it out - that could be user error. The reason I want this, is to keep my home page clean and have a few icons at the bottom to get to certain pages without having to scroll. (examples music, tools, car, shopping).
View 8 Replies View RelatedWell I encountered a really weird and not pleasent experience with my x10 today. I had it charging overnight like probably everyone who has one does and than I unplugged it to get started for the day. However, when I unplugged it from the usb cord, the screen got locked and flashed. So I turned it off and turned it back on. Well when it came back on, I had LOST everything that I had setup on my 3 screens! No icons, no nothing! Everything was gone except for the wallpaper or theme, which was the same I had setup. I did have ADW setup as my launcher, but all my launchers were gone as well. When I held down the center button, which would normally bring up my launcher option, it brought me to the homescreen.
So now I have to go through and resetup all of the icons and screens. Not a big ordeal, but what is troubling me is why did it even happen?
I've been adding and changing things constantly on my Droid X since I got it, as I know most of you have. I thought I'd make this thread to show some newcomers a decent app list, and home screen setup. If anyone has any questions, don't hesitate to ask.I'll start with my current apps, and then post some pics of my home screens.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI want to setup a second phone number using Google Voice. Some time ago I created a new number online and set it up on my previous cell. Now 2 years later I got a new cell and want to setup Google Voice, however the application behaves differently now and tries to integrate with my real phone number, and that is not my intention. During the install it verified my real phone number and tried to use it.
My question: how to set it up to use a number I created online long time ago? I clicked every option but could not find a way to repoint Voice to my second number.
Two things I'd like to be able to do with my incredible.First is reduce the number of homescreens. Seven is really pointless for me, it makes finding the right screen take a little longer and there's just not enough good quality widgets that I need to use. I could do better with 5 and possibly just 3.Second is that when I'm not on a homescreen and I hit the home button, I'd like it to go back to the LAST homescreen I was on, not the center one. And if I'm already on a homescreen, once again pull up the homescreen select menu, instead of going to the center homescreen. It's a waste of a button press to always go to that center screen when pressing the home button.

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy Gmail account works great, and I have my aol and yahoo acounts set up no problem (well the yahoo was a little problem but got it to work so thats all that matters). I have 2 other email accounts that no matter what I do I can not get them to work. One is my works email which is handled by a company called network solutions. I can get the incoming server setup fine but I can not get the outgoing to work. The other is my school email which is some sort of msn email account variation (username@email.itt-tech.edu which i log into through msn.com). I cant get anything to work for this accuont.

Probably it is possible for Froyo at least. I found application called Easy Call Forwarding. But many people reckon it dosen't work actually. We can notice forwarded call by onCallForwardingIndicatorChanged() from PhoneStateListener but I have no idea how to set forwarding mode.

I'm pretty sure it's a MID here is the link to where I got it from. 8G 7" Android Tablet 4.1 Dual Cam Keyboard Case | Trade Me. I have tried all the different power volume button combos that were suggested on web, also have tried downloading the program to my pc to share info with the tablet, but the information sharing must not be turned on in the tablet, as when the device showed up in my computer it was empty! Where I purchased it from will send me a Getroot, but I have to pay and I'm not sure if this will even work!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was able to successfully setup a POP account through the Setup Screen...in fact when I go back through Setup, I still see the account. The problem is I can't DO anything with it in setup (including deleting it to start over) and it doesn't show up in my Apps window with an icon! I see it on the setup screen labeled "Setup Accounts" but no matter if I tap it or hold it or swipe it or try to hit the menu key, it just sits there. There is a green button with the checkmark in it. I guess what I would think i ought to be able to do is to assign it an icon (or even get a generic one) and find the account listed on my app screen...I'm willing to reset it, but I can't even delete it to start!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've experienced two problems with Google Voice that are causing me to get charged minutes I wouldn't usually get charged. If I can't solve them, I'll have to go back to using my Verizon number. First, let me say that I'm using a new Google Voice number that isn't Verizon cell phone number or any other preexisting number. Second, my girlfriend is on my family plan, but she doesn't have GV yet. We're using the 700-minute plan, so we don't have a friends circle.
Problem 1: When I call my girlfriend's Verizon wireless phone using the GV on my Verizon phone, I get charged, and when she calls my GV number on my Verizon Wireless phone from her Verizon wireless phone, she gets charged. We don't cash in on our free in-network calling. I know, this should have been obvious, but it just never occurred to me until after I looked at the bill. I'd be able to work with that, though, and just select "Call without using Google Voice" or whatever when calling her if it weren't for the second problem. When people call my Google Voice number, I get charged when I don't answer. Usually, it's just a one-minute charge, but sometimes it's two or three minutes (don't know why). With anything less than an unlimited plan, minutes count. Not good.
Basically, i use my personal cell phone for work and personal use, i have multiple exchange accts that keep things sorted and seperated.
recently though i have been getting more and more business calls to my cell phone, during and outside of normal business hours.
what im looking for is an app that will take a selective group of contacts/phone numbers/CID strings and if it is a "business" call then forward it to a specific phone number (external number, the actual business line).
I have seen apps on the market and around that will forward calls to voicemail if they match certain filters, but i cant really seem to find an app that will forward to an external number. Any way I could accomplish this?
I'm selling my house, and my old phone number (which is still active), is on the advertisment signs and MLS. So, I'm going to keep paying my bill month to month for that account until I sell the house.
However, I'd rather not carry around 2 different phones. I did not port my number to my new service as my old number was not "local" to where I live now.
So, I have service with T-mobile and now Verizon with two different numbers. Can I set-up something where anyone who calls my T-mobile number, will ring through to my my Verizon phone/number?
I am trying to get the contacts from the phone but all I can get is the name, the phone numbers return null.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI have Screens installed, which I find to be a pretty decent wallpaper finder. I like using landscapes as wallpaper and it seems to have some good ones. I noticed today that there was an update available, but luckily read some of the latest comments before updating. Apparently, the "update" renders the app non-functional and just tells you to download Mabilo (sp?). I might just uninstall the app on principle, because that's pretty crappy of them. But I thought I'd warn others, in case anyone wanted to keep the app in a functional state.

I've tried to change SCREEN_COUNT in launcher.java and add codes like <include android:id="@+id/cell4" ... /> to launcher.xml, but it didn't work. My emulator screen resolution is 800*480.
