Nov 27, 2009is there a app for JUST more home screens? Im all out of room on my other 3 pages and i only have the phone for a week and half. What do you guys use?

Samsung Captivate :: Filling Up Your App Screens - Not Home Screens
Jul 27, 2010I had a little time with the captivate today and noticed it has 4(i think) horizontal scrolling screens for apps. What happens when you fill those? Does it automatically add another one or what?

Jul 7, 2010Two things I'd like to be able to do with my incredible.First is reduce the number of homescreens. Seven is really pointless for me, it makes finding the right screen take a little longer and there's just not enough good quality widgets that I need to use. I could do better with 5 and possibly just 3.Second is that when I'm not on a homescreen and I hit the home button, I'd like it to go back to the LAST homescreen I was on, not the center one. And if I'm already on a homescreen, once again pull up the homescreen select menu, instead of going to the center homescreen. It's a waste of a button press to always go to that center screen when pressing the home button.

Jul 5, 2010I've had my HTC Desire for a few weeks now and I love it to bits! I just want to ask though how other people set up their home screens (I'm seriously lacking imagination) I'd like to know of what widgets & apps are must hav's!Also, I have dedicated my far left screen as a 'car' screen which i've got a music widget on and google navigation icon... I'm after some other really good apps to use while being out in the car and while travelling around the country, any suggestions?One more thing, I'm after a car cradle to use the navigation, but the speaker on the phone is really quiet... is there a satnav with a speaker built in, or can you get cigarette lighter powered bluetooth speakers? I only want to be able to hear what the phone's satnavs saying really.

Nov 23, 2010I have my screens all set up using launcher pro, I want to change a few things around or just start from scratch. Is there way to save my screens and then start from scratch? Or do I need to save it then remove all my widgets and start again that way? I want to be able to go back to it if I don't like what I come up with.

Jun 17, 2010I have an HTC Incredible and I noticed what appears to be protected blocks on one of the home screens. The home screen has only a couple of programs on it that take up 1 block. When I tried to move the location of one of the programs, I noticed there is a 1x2 vertical strip that is blank that is just to the top right of center that won't allow me to place anything. There is no reason why I shouldn't since there is plenty of room on the screen. Could there possibly be something hidden there? All i see is the background and touching that region does nothing.

Feb 24, 2010I'm looking for an app that allows me to have more than 5 screens on my nexus one. Currently I have home++ but it doesn't allow for live wallpapers and the app selection is really outdated looking imo. I tried launcher++ but it too had the app selection ugliness.
What i really want is a home replacement that mimics the normal launcher on 2.1 but has extra screens. I don't need anything fancy, i just want more screens and perhaps an infinity scroll feature. is there anything like that? even a custom rom maybe? does cyanogen offer more screens?

Apr 10, 2010My home screens are jumping all over the place spontaneously almost like a ghost is moving them! And then the screen locks up and I have to pull the battery. This just started yesterday out of the blue. I have not installed or uninstalled new apps this week. Pretty much cannot use phone because this.

Oct 9, 2009I am working on an application where I wish to have multiple screens (each of full display size) attached to each other horizontally, and switch between them by using the finger (swipe right / swipe left). The home screen does exactly what I want, but its implementation seems to be more complex than I thought. What would be your preferred way to achieve this functionality? Is there any Layout or View that I could reuse? More generally, it should work with the 1.5 SDK, so the gesture interface is not available.

There are so many cool looking home screens and wallpapers that I can't make up my mind. It would be nice to select a bunch and then have them randomly selected every restart or specified interval, kind of like shuffle on a CD player.

Jul 29, 2010I really like my Droid Incredible (Dinc), but I just noticed a minor glitch on it. When I was on the main home screen, the phone switched over to all three of the left home screens on its own (it switched to these home screens one after another). Do you know if there will be a software update that will fix this problem?

Nov 19, 2010I cannot see any of my screens. I just see a black screen. The screen has no background but it is black but lit up or active [not black like when it is off though]. No response to hitting any of the 4 buttons[home,menu,return, search]. I only get a response when I hold down the home key. A message pops up saying 'Recent Apps' and 'No recent apps'. I'm wondering if it is trying to respond but bogged down with an app.
This all started after I installed a Koi screen saver. The screen saver works and lets me close the screen saver but goes to a blank screen. Don't see anything. Sound rocker responds, power button works, I even heard mail arriving. Feel pretty dumb.

Jun 14, 2010I am wanting to change the icons for a lot of my apps on my home screens. I have been looking at BetterCut, Apps Organizer, and Folder Organizer. Now Apps Organizer is free and Folder Organizer has a free trial version, but Better cut is not free not does BetterCut have a free trial version.
Please tell me what you like/dislike about the apps, primarily BetterCut and Folder Organizer (paid).
*How do they run?
*Are there any major bugs?
Is it easy to change the icons for apps on my home screens?
*Is BetterCut really worth $2?
*Is Folder Organizer really worth $1.35?
Are any of these going to meet my needs of wanting to change the icons on my home screens?
*Are the icons dependant on the app that changed them (in other words, if I uninstall BetterCut after changing an icon, will the icon still be what I changed it to, or will it go back to the default icon)?
*If you had $2 and could only choose one of these apps to change the icons on your home screen, which would you choose?
I am going to play around with the two free versions of these apps and see if I like them, but unfortunately, BetterCut is an all or nothing app. I just don't want to feel like I wasted any money because the app ended up not doing what I wanted it to do.
