I would like to disable/remove some of my unused homescreens. However, I don't want a program that completely hijacks my interface. So far I have tried pando, ahome, and open home. Can anyone suggest a way for me to delete some empty homescreens while not hijacking my interface.

As you can see in the link below there is an extra padding (around 2mm) below the EditText field. I can't seem to remove this padding in anyway. This occurs with other widgets as well (like Buttons). It looks like Android is default adding this extra padding to all elements.

I created a custom dialog that I'm dynamically putting views into via a RelativeLayout. Every time the dialog is displayed, it shows all my child views just great, but it has some space at the top that I can not account for. I'm assuming this is reserved for a "title" of the dialog (which I won't have). Is there a way to remove that space and have my custom dialog just wrap the contents that I'm putting in?

no matter what I do or how I change the layout file, I always have that buffer at the top, how can I get rid of that?
Basically each of my contacts have 2-3 each. I have deleted the extras before but they keep coming back. How can i remove my gmail contacts from my phone and just stick with the backup assistant.

When I go to messages, it lists a ton of e-mail addresses and duplicate names etc etc. When I go to people, these are not listed.
It seems like it is listing every single e-mail address i have ever e-mailed from my gmail account. How do I get rid of this??
For example: John Jones is not listed in "people". But if I go into messages, and check the contact list, it will show two entries:
"john jones: johnjones@gmail.com"
"john jones: johnjones@yahoo.com"
I was able to remove all of the facebook contacts it automatically added, which was stupid to begin with.
If I have a phone that is sim locked will changing IMEI unlock it?

Since joining this forum I've been surfing around looking at what a desire is capable of and I want to utilize it potential. I was wondering if someone could help me customize my phone the way they are in the show us your homescreen thread. I want to customise it with a variety of apps and hopefully have a finishing product like everyone else has. I've tried searching around but can't seem to find a guide. I really like using my phone in landscape any time I can, including on my homescreens. I use Launcher Pro right now, but I'm hoping somebody has a way to get Sense to do this, especially if it'll let me use the new Sense this way down the road. Anybody seen a ROM or anything that'll do this?
Also does anybody know how to get Launcher Pro to lock into landscape on the homescreens?
The X will hopefully be my first smartphone. I know it comes with 7 screens to fill up. That's a lot for some used to a feature phone. How are you Android/smartphone veterans going to organize your stuff?

I'm not sure how to put this so I'll try my best.When you have a picture as your wallpaper do you notice that when sliding between the screens they move ever so slightly?For example, I have an image of the lion in my avatar perfectly in the centre of my home screen, yet when I move the screen to the left or right it seems to move the image and cut some off. Home screen images, by their very nature work best when they are simple or abstract because they have a load of stuff going on over the top of them. But in the lock screen it would be really great to see a proper picture, where it doesn't matter what's going on because there's nothing in front of it!

At the top left, what are the little check marks on bar? Also on the power control widget what are the two icons next to bluetooth? Also is there a way to change website shortcuts on the homescreens icon?

Yesterday I downloaded OPEN HOME... not sure if that effected it or what, but now when I try to set a wallpaper... its long and vertical and doesn't scroll with screens... its a stationary wallpaper...
