Moving over from Palm, I have been with them from the days of the Treo 600. And I love the look of the Palm Pre but went with the Sprint HTC Hero. So I was wondering if there is a app the will give me a wave icon dock like what is on the Pre? I have a 3rd party app that I used on my Centro and loved it!

Anyone know how where I can get more dock icons like these? Mainly looking for a "Gallery" or "Pics" one (amongst a few others), and I haven't used PS in years so I don't think I could custom make one unless there's an easier method than making them from scratch.

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe other night, something updated on my HTC One (running Venom with GoLauncher EX) and the icons got all jacked-up. Some Google apps reappeared on the dock, a widget got pushed on top of another, etc. It looks like when the Google apps updated, they felt the need to reinstall themselves on the dock -- not sure, but that's not my main question.
When all of this happened, I lost the "grid" looking icon that will show All Apps and I'm not sure how to get it back. At this time, I can only see the apps I've put on my "home" pages, and in order to see All Apps, I must do an "add" and browse that way.
How do I get the all-apps grid thing back?
does anyone know if it's possible to make a phone dock on the bottom of the screen like on the incredible. i mean, i think it's kind of ridiculous that this isn't standard....
View 16 Replies View RelatedFor some odd reason, my project is generating two icons, same name, launches the same project, in the app drawer. I can't figure out what is causing this. Does anyone have any suggestions? Link to screenshot. The M in the white circle is my default icon. If you view the screenshot, you'll see it appears twice. I've checked the applications area, and it is only installed once.

I'm trying to figure out if this has been done before. If so, a link to it would be greatly appreciated.I would like to use the Android Home Dock for my car. I'm thinking that i will (somehow) have to splice the power cord for the home dock and wire it to my car battery so it would keep my phone charged while docked. I also have a perfect spot to place the dock in my car via velcro. The reason why i do not want the car dock is because:
1. it wont keep your phone charged in a clean manner
2. it does not look as clean as the home dock
3. the arm for the car dock is too short for me to reach the phone comfortably on my windshield
This seems like an obvious thing, but I can't find any way to do it.When I put my phone in the car dock, instead of auto-launching the official "car dock" application, I want to launch an app of my own choosing. (in this case vlingo)I can find various apps that specifically replace the car dock app, but that's not what I want, I want to use vlingo (which doesn't seem to have that option by default)Just to be clear, I don't want an app that gives me an icon I can click to launch vlingo, that would defeat the purpose as I can already click the icon on my home screen to launch it if I want.So how can I set what program launches when I drop it in the car dock?

I was playing around with it and it looks like I may have moved the "Google Search" that was originally docked at the top of the screen. 1) What's the "RING" mean in the lower right corner? It's there whether I have the app muting or allowing the ringer, notifications, system sounds, and vibrations. In other words, I can't get it to go away.
2) In the EXTRAS menu, what's the difference between "Quick calendar" and "System Calendar"?
3) In the EXTRAS menu, what's "LED Blackout" do? It doesn't turn off the "back/menu/home/search" LEDs on a Moto Droid.

View 6 Replies View Relatedi have an HTC Incredible. when i was using a Moto Droid i was using GDE with it. one thing i really liked from GDE was the scrolling application dock widgets. i would simply use GDE on my Inc but i do also like sense and all of the sense widgets. it would be great if somebody, or even the maker of GDE would make an app that is just like the application dock from GDE that would work on any launcher including sense.i've looked at Ultimate Faves and it's nothing like it. there was something kinda similar that i had tried but it wasn't close enough. it had buttons instead of just dragging and scrolling.

Is there any way to disable or override the car dock app? I want the application that I am writing to be able to launch when the device is placed into the car dock. I have created a BroadcastReceiver for my app but the standard car dock app displays, not my app. I know that my broadcast receiver is working because when I click the back button on the device from the car dock app it shows my app. How do I get it to not show the car dock app? There is no listing for the car dock app in the list of installed apps on the phone. The only solution I have found on the web is to root your phone and change the .apk file name. I can't expect my users to do that.

I have the phone in the cradle, in the back of the cradle they have a battery, and then the cord is plugged into a wall adaptor (the ones shown on ebay) that is holding a spare battery.It took awfully long to charge and not end up fully charged.I know the Innodock Jr from Seidio which I had would have been fully charged, hours earlier..when I asked which one of two cradles to get, it was pointed out that any cradles advertised to do the same things, i.e. case compatible and dual purpose, will be the same quality, just get the cheaper one.
Or could it be due to the device dividing power up three ways (excuse my lack of Electrical knowledge) charging the wall charger, the battery back of the cradle, and the phone itself?
I just got two multimedia docks on Tuesday (one for home and one for the office. They worked well the first day but the next day, I could not get the weather to work. It seems to find my location OK but didn't put the weather info on the main screen.
View 7 Replies View RelatedInteresting thing is that I was playing around with the Car Dock app and decided to add some Favorite Tel Numbers to that screen you see after hitting the Call Button. I added one favorite and it was fine, however I added a second favorite and the screen closed and now when I click on the Calling button in the Car Dock app it does nothing. I am not even sure if this is something I can reinstall as I can't find it in the Market. With Android can you delete an app such as this and reinstall it? I am guessing that would be my fix. I definitely don't want to do a factory reset. Can I somehow delete the data file associated with that app to clean things up. Sorry I have experience with OS but I am new to Android. Just picked up the Droids when it came out and am really loving it up to this point. Any suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the dock bar configured on my Droid Eris with the default icons, but I have changed the default application for each (i.e. the message icon opens Handcent instead of the default messaging app). However, I'd like to have the icon be the app that its actually running. How can I do this? I tried long-pressing the button and selecting "Change Icon" from the menu, but I can only use either the default LP icons or I can pick a picture from the Photo album. I'd really like to have the Handcent icon for the messaging button, etc.Any ideas? I've seen a few threads on here where people have changed them, but none mention HOW they've changed them.
View 5 Replies View RelatedThere are two apps I used to have installed that I cannot find for the life of me. is a widget/sliding tray/multi app launcher - I believe it was 4x1 but could hold more than 4 apps.The other was a bottom dock that also slid but was not part of a complete home replacement app, just a stand alone dock to launch multiple apps.
