Android :: How To Search For Posts?
Aug 27, 2009I find that I can't search for the posts which posted nearly half a year ago in this forum, How to do that? Or it just be prohibited?

Android :: Default Calendar Posts
Oct 25, 2010Just wondering how to make the google calendar my default posting calendar as opposed to all of my events being default saved in My Calendar. For some reason My Calendar didn't sync to the Google database, so I'm trying to avoid future hassles.

Sep 17, 2010I have posted 8 posts to this group. But I can't find any of them. My profile shows that I have posted 8 + this one, but only one of them is listed. I posted a question about a soft keyboard on September 15, and then I saw it posted. But now it's now longer there.
Is it the policy of this group to remove the posts for which Android cannot give an answer? It's really disheartening to come here and post a question and not only get no answer, but then get your post censored! Can someone manning the booth here give a reasonable answer to this?
Android :: Posts Are Not Displayed - Perhaps Deleted By Moderators
Mar 3, 2010I am new to this group. I had posted a question yesterday in this group. It didn't appear. I thought I made a mistake; so I posted it today and it didn't appear either. I realized now that this group has something called moderators before it reaches the posting. Am I missing something or did anything wrong? My question was a simple application question and didn't have any bad language in it. Could some please let me know if the question was rejected? If so what is reason so that I can correct it.

Every time I post on forums it always wants to double post, on here there is a 15 second gap before you can post again but on a lot of the forums I use are for work related pimping, well I post a lot on kite forums and run a kite school so it's kinda work related pimping. In one of those, I'd like to implement type-to-search as well, but the standard method of adding search context info doesn't work in that case... the onSearchRequested() method in the activity is never called. Is there any way to include search context info in a type-to-search invocation, or am I stuck with only the Search key and menu option?

The current implementation of the search bar enables to show resource icons (with Search Manager.SUGGEST_COLUMN_ICON_1 and Search Manager.SUGGEST_COLUMN_ICON_2). I don't see the way to customize the native search dialog. I think it is not a good idea to create my search component. Basically the question is the same: "is the search UI customizable at all"?

Android :: Better Way To Search For Applications?
Nov 11, 2009I'm new to Android, and it kind of frustrates me that there's no "advanced search" option in the app marketplace. If I want to search for "keyboard", for example, I have to search through an assload of skins to find an actual program. Same when I tried to search for Open Home--again, an assload of skins. Am I missing something, or is there a better way to search/sort searches rather than having to sort through, for example, the 464 results for Open Home?
