I've been searching the forums for a way to change the "via facebook for android" or the "via HTC sense message on the bottom of facebook posts.
I figure it is done by the app somewhere.
Or is it done by facebook?
Has anyone seen anything on how to customize it?

This is the first problem that I have had with my droid. Actually I dont even consider it a problem just curious if anyone else has run into this. This morning my news feed wouldnt load any of the older posts. Then I uploaded a picture this morning 12/24 and it showed the date I uploaded it was on tuesday the 22nd at 4:28 PM.

Recently, I decided to deactivate my Facebook account since I don't really use it anymore. I have always had it listed in my accounts with Google and Twitter, and now I want it removed. Every time I try to remove it from my accounts on my phone, I get an error message. Any ideas why it's getting an error and what I can do to fix it?

View 14 Replies View RelatedBeing a geek, I've been very interested in getting a Droid, and in anticipation, have been following this forum since day one.I've been to the Verizon store a few times to play with the Droid, and was comparing it to the Eris today when an employee came over and started chatting with me.He had a Droid, so I asked him how he liked it, etc, etc. I mentioned how I knew quite a bit about the device just from reading up on it online. I asked him about the keyboard, and what his take was.He mentioned the lack of raised keys, etc., and then said his main complaint was that there was no way to 'lock' the Alt key so he could type numbers - and he proceeded to show me how you had to hold the Alt key down, and type with the other hand.Then I mentioned to him that I thought all you needed to do was double-tap the alt key to lock it. He did that and was amazed that it was that simple, and thanked me for the tip.Perhaps this forum should be mandatory reading for all Verizon employees?

My ringtone works as my new one. My notification sound plays my preference (Clapton's Layla) when I have an email and such, however, when I get a text message, it still plays the default sound. Is there somewhere you change this other than notification sounds?

For crying out loud all I want to do is change the alert for facebook. As it is now all it does is vibrate, I want it to make a noise, is that too much to ask? Switched from iphone to Droid Ultra. Way too much to go through just to change an alert.

Hello everyone! I just purchased a Motorola Droid on Friday and have been playing with it non-stop all weekend... I do have a couple, maybe silly, questions...
1) Whenever I power my phone off for the night then plug it in to charge, it keeps turning on. Is this normal? Is there any way to stop this from happening? Will this have an impact on my battery life?
2) Is there any way to change the sounds for text message, emails, and other notifications? I am coming from a Blackberry where EVERYTHING has its own sound.
3) I've been looking through the "Most Popular App" threads and, of course, am open to your suggestions. Is there anywhere online where I can easily look at all of the available apps/programs?
