I have bought new KARBONN smart tablet 8 Last week. Android os version is 4.1.1.In that I'm using twitter and Facebook applications. In both apps, tweets/posts are not displaying fully. Not able to read fully.. Tried with all twitter applications.

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy current mobile phone is an LG/Sprint Optimus S, whose camera has 3.2 mpx resolution. My previous (and first) smart phone was an HTC Pure which runs Windows Mobile 6.5 and is perhaps better known as the Topaz, Pure being its AT&T edition. The camera on that phone does 5.0 mpx, so it's obviously much better. Even on just the small device screens, you can see the quality difference at a glance.
For a particular objective, I need to be able to take good pictures on the go, but have the Internet connection provided by my current Android device. In other words, I want to take pictures with the HTC, beam them to my Optimus, and then use that to send out the pictures. I was having a bit of trouble getting the devices to work well together in their native states, so I flashed a version of Froyo onto the old HTC. Having done that, I found that the Bluetooth connection between the devices worked quite well. But when I try to use one of the Android camera apps to take pictures on the HTC, it's not taking full advantage of the lens' capability. The photos show up on the screen about the size of a large postage stamp; in fact not much bigger than a thumbnail picture.
Do Android camera apps not work at any better resolution than 3.2?

Now that that update has been rooted, I'm looking back into it. I used the stickied idiot proof guide, and got to the point where you boot into the debug rom after rooting. The next instructions are to go to the app market to download ROM Manager, but whenever I try to load the market up it says "No matching content in Android Market." ?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have been sorely disappointed with the twitter apps on Android for one reason and one reason only: Not one of the twitter apps I have used has had any way of indicating which tweets are new and which ones aren't.
My only other experience with mobile twitter apps have been iPhone apps. On all of them whenever the app was opened the newest tweets were pointed out in some way. A lot of times is was with a highlighted background, but the best way I've seen was with a sort of "memory" feature. The app would remember which tweet you were viewing when you last had it open, and then when you opened it again it would show the timeline in the same place it had been when you closed the app and the newer tweets would be loaded on top of that. Several apps did it this way.
It seems goofy to me that not one of the Android programmers who have made twitter apps thought of something like this, so I have been assuming I am missing something. I use the Twidroid Pro app (on a Droid), and there is a setting in there that says "Remember Timeline position" so I made sure I checked that. It sounded like that would do what I described above, however it doesn't do anything that I've been able to see...

I've been reading my tweets through Twitter on my Incredible for a few weeks now. Suddenly, today, nothing shows up other than the Twitter logo and the "What's Happening" bar. When I click refresh.....it says ...loading, and then displays "No Tweets". I know there are tweets, I'm reading them right now on the computer.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to find a Twitter app that will let you share tweets via email but not using Gmail. I would like to use an email account located on my domain & server, but the only option that appears to be available from the apps I have looked at is by using only Gmail.
I have looked at several Twitter apps, including Twidroyd, Touiteur, Tweetdeck & Seesmic - none of these let you use any email account except for Gmail.
I prefer not to use Gmail as it is both unreliable in sending and insists on CC'ing every email that is sent out, even though I have that setting disabled.
There must be some sort of solution to this - I cannot believe that you cannot use non-Gmail accounts for sharing tweets!
Have any of you found a Twitter app that can use the phone's GPS to find tweets from people in your geographic area? I used an app called Twitterific on the iPhone that had this feature and it was a great way to learn what's going on locally.
The closest I've come is an app called Tweetkin. It works, but has some shortcomings. For example, it doesn't allow you to click on links. It also doesn't allow you to access your regular list of people you follow on Twitter.
I think I'm probably missing something really obvious but how do I view another person's at tweets with Seesmic? eg. If someone tweets a question and I want to check nobody has answered before I reply to them.

Every app only takes up a fraction of the screen. Here's my layout for an example, but again, it affects all of them:

The specified screen resolution is, as in the droid, 854x480. It shows up in the emulator in horizontal or vertical mode. The map starts about a third of the way from the left and ends about a third of the way from the right. It starts at the top and ends about a third of the way from the bottom of the screen. I have no clue why that would happen, as I specified "fill_parent".
I've tried a variety of things. I switched to a linearlayout, as one page I saw recommended. I tried spelling out absolute layout widths. I tried all sorts of stuff. The map stubbornly remains surrounded by black on all sides. One thing I noticed was that when I specified widths and heights that were really large, way bigger than the screen, the map showed up as pure white instead of as a map. But it still had the black all around the map as described above. The title bar likewise is truncated by the black bars on either side and only takes up 1/3 of the width, whether in landscape or portrait mode.
The apps that come by default on the emulator take up the fullscreen, but everything I install from Eclipse does not.

I realized now that this group has something called moderators before it reaches the posting. Am I missing something or did anything wrong?
