View 1 RepliesI'd like a bluetooth handsfree set that has an easy charging solution (doesn't need to carry a bulky charger with me), good sound and easy to wear. I'd take suggestions to both for music use (both ears) and phone use.had a jawbone-handsfree set before, but it was a victim of small size and crowded apartment. been two years, and yet to find it.

1. Phone only can pair with pin "0000" BT headset automatically, but never pair succeed with headset with pin "1234" (never prompt pin code dialog for input?)
2. Connecting BT headset always fail if the BT headset only suport HFP/ HSP profile(on A2DP). Any one familiar it?
In short what I'm looking for is instructions to be able to connect my HTC One X to my PC (windows 7 Home Edition) via Bluetooth and be able to use my PC's mic to talk and my PC's speakers to listen to the call.
In other words, I want my PC to act as a car's handsfree system.
It seems possible from the googling I have done.
Many articles tells you to connect your phone via BT and choose "Handsfree" as the service. However, when I connect my HOX the only service I get is a network connection (to tether my internet connection).
I have seen several 2DIN car headunits that has Android 2.3 supports FM Radio and Handsfree and can be controlled through the UI itself. how is it implemented?
eg: In eBay, search for item No : 130862564199
I can't stand the HTC Handsfree kit and was wondering if anyone can recommend an alternative?

Is it possible to intercept key presses of the hands free mic/headset(whatever it is called) of an Android mobile device?
Does Android 4.1 allow a device to serve as a Hands-Free Profile (HFP) device? Similar to the way many newer cars come with integrated Bluetooth/HFP, I would like to use my tablet (Nexus 7) as a front-end for my phone. When an incoming call comes in, the phone should relay the call over Bluetooth to the tablet; it should also allow the tablet to make outgoing calls via Bluetooth over the phone's network.
I am not interested in solutions such as GrooveIP, Talkatone, and SIPDroid. I am specifically looking for Bluetooth HFP.I wouldn't mind looking into developing such a product - but I first wanted to know if the HSP 1.6 host API was available in Android 4.1. I've seen resources stating it was available in ICS 4.0, but I believe this is to allow Android devices to connect to third-party HSP devices - I'm looking to do the opposite (i.e. have the Android device serve as the HSP host).
Looking at getting one of the Parrot MKi9000 series car kits. Anyone got experience with their Tattoo and an installed kit? Any problems?How does it work? Phone? AD2P?

I had a sonyericson x-10 mini pro with android 2.1 that worked just fine, recently i've aquired a bq aquaris 5hd with jelly bean 4.2.1, and i cant get bluetooth to stay connected.
what happens is, i pair the two devices just fine, but then, they just remain connected for some secs and then connection is disabled, rendering the handsfee kits useless. i reconnect, after some secs it disconnects again. been reading on internet and it seems its a common problem with JB 4.2.1, these bluetooth issues.
I have ultimate ears headphones and was wondering whether they were compatible. The UE site says iphone and other smartphones.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having difficulty with my Bluetooth connection to the in car handsfree kit. Xperia X10 and Sony Ericsson HCB-700. Whilst I can receive calls, the phone book is unaccessible.
View 1 Replies View RelatedHave many of you had the issue that only the earpiece speaker or earphones work, and the handsfree loudspeaker doesn't kick in, unless you're making a call and choose handsfree? This is particularly annoying when listening to music and you want it through the louder speaker, or if you set an alarm, or receiving calls...... Anyhow here is an article: Motorola DROID Experiencing Main Speaker Issues | PhoneNews.com. Surprised I haven't seen more about this on the forum.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI purchased a new Sprint HTC Hero a couple of days ago.I have been pleased except for one small problem. While I can get the Hero to connect to my Chrysler Uconnect handsfree system over bluetooth, it does not seem to transfer the phone book over to the device. I cannot find an automatic or manual setting to send the phone book over.I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen the X10 attached to a wire handsfree, the alert notification from the stock calendar, gmail, alarm clock etc would come though the handsfree and not the phone speaker itself. Is there anyway to stop this happening as I want the notification to come though the phone speaker. Or is this the bug of X10 that SE needs to sort out?? Is there any app on market that can make sure the alert notification comes through in the phone speaker, not via handsfree speaker when a wired handsfree attached to X10.
View 6 Replies View RelatedRecently upgraded from 4.2.2 to 4.3 on my Galaxy S4 and since then the Hands-free turns on automatically every few minutes. It is annoying, especially since I do not use it. Tried to turn it off but it comes back by itself. The people at AT&T ddisabled it but it came back after a few hours.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI experience poor sound quality after my pairing my htc desire phone via bluetooth with my parrot ck3100 handsfree device. The handsfree set is connected to my car stereo, and I need almost to turn up to full volume to be able to listen to the person on the side of the line. This problem doesnt occur with other cell phones i've tried, like nokia and samsung. I actually hear the person absolutely clearly with other cell phones. So this has to be some compatibility issue with my htc desire, or there might be some setting which can resolve this problem?

It seems as if this phone is not hands-free friendly when it comes to cars. I set it up to connect to my Infiniti G37 and it worked fine, however once i turn off the car and turn it back on it recognizes the connection but does not connect to it. The only way for me to get it working again is delete it from memory and set it up again. Maybe someone is having similar issues or can share some advice.
P.S. Bluetooth hands-free worked flawlessly on my BB 9000, so I know this system is not faulty.
today i meet the problem.i need technic can control the android machine from server.then i want send data from server to android with no request from android.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to open a dialog window, but every time I try to open it it throws this exception:
CODE:.................
I'm creating it by calling showDialog with the display's id. The onCreateDialog handler logs fine and I can step through it without an issue, but I've attached it since it seems like I'm missing something:
CODE:............
Is there something missing from this? Some questions have talked about having this problem when creating a dialog from onCreate, which happen because the activity isn't created yet, but this is coming from a call from a menu object, and the appContext variable seems like it is correctly populated in the debugger.
I'm writing an application which connects to a back office site. The backoffice site contains a whole slew of JavaScript functions, at least 100 times the average site. Unfortunately it does not load them, and causes much of the functionality to not work properly. So I am running a test. I put a page out on my server which loads the FireBugLite javascript text. Its a lot of javascript and perfect to test and see if the Android WebView will load it. The WebView loads nothing, but the browser loads the Firebug Icon. What on earth would make the difference, why can it run in the browser and not in my WebView? Any suggestions.
More background information, in order to get the stinking backoffice application available on a Droid (or any other platform except windows) I needed to trick the bakcoffice application to believe what's accessing the website is Internet Explorer. I do this by modifying the WebView User Agent.Also for this application I've slimmed my landing page, so I could give you the source to offer me aid. package ksc.myKMB;

I want to implement my own Tokenizer base on the file
"MultiAutoCompleteTextView.java",
but I encounter an error "com.android.internal.R cannot be resolved" when I try to
import "MultiAutoCompleteTextView.java" to my project.
code:.................
I haven't research any solutions to resolve this problem.How to correct "com.android.internal.R.attr.autoCompleteTextViewStyle" my own attr?
1- Does Android Browser (Éclair code base) support the "plug-in" or not?
2- Why "Google Gears" support is removed from the clair code base?
I searched the forum and came to know that earlier version of the Android does not support it at all? Here is the link for that, but this query asked in Dec'2008.
At first,I have a database created by using Ruby on rails.I just already implement insert function(HTTPPost) in my Android Application and it's work.But I don't know how to retrieve specific record from my databases and insert it back to specific record in Android (Like edit function in RoR)This is my insert code :
private void insertComment() {DefaultHttpClient client = new DefaultHttpClient();HttpPost post = new HttpPost("http://10.10.3.87:3000/comments");
// Configure the form parameters
List<NameValuePair> nvps = new ArrayList<NameValuePair>();
nvps.add(new BasicNameValuePair("comment[content]", t_comment.getText().toString();
nvps.add(new BasicNameValuePair("comment[id_account]", "1"));
nvps.add(new BasicNameValuePair("comment[id_place]", Integer.toString(position)I really try many ways out but it doesn't work and it takes very long time to fight with this piece of code. Actually, I really don't know how to specify RowID to HTTPPost.
I am doing some android development, and now I need to send some android application generated data onto a remote server (a database)?How can I do that? can I use direct JDBC connection and sql?
