I wondered if someone could help, I cant get the buttns (pause forward and back) on my handsfree headset to work when playing music. The accept incoming call button will work but not with music, they used to work a week or so ago is it a faulty headset or software?

the GPS on my Desire is shocking - it point-blank won't work if there's ANYTHING over my head, so useless in cars/trains/buses, and if i'm out on the street it'll either not work at all or take upwards of 2 minutes to lock a signal. was chatting to a friend about it this weekend, and he whipped out his nexus one and had a locked signal within seconds of opening google maps, whereas mine still refused to budge. have i got a duff handset, or are other people finding this an issue? i'm on Orange, although i'm presuming that GPS isn't reliant on the carrier...

There will be no problem, but my + and - buttons doesn't work, so i can't open my recovery menu.

View 3 Replies View RelatedIve noticed when my desire is plugged into the computer and use as a disk drive option the option on the computer to access the desire keep on disappearing from "my computer", could this be down to the cable being damaged as i accidently dropped the phone with the cable plugged into the phone and the phone landed on the bottom eg as it landed it bent the cable, plus when the cable is plugged in its a little loose but is this normal.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have got LG L9 II with Jelly Bean 4.1.2 with kernel 3.4.0 (no newer firmware from LG nor other unofficial ports).I paired with it my Scala Rider G4 (by Cardo Systems) motorcycle bluetooth headset.
Pairing went OK, audio is transmitted by headset. But BT buttons do not work (almost) at all:
- initialize call, end call (Media Button?) - no reaction after one press,
- same button pressed twice - phone starts redialing last number (this is not default action of headset),
- volume up pressed once - no reaction,
- volume up long pressed - next song in player,
- volume down - no action.
With Nokias Symbian, or even Android 4.0.4, headset worked great.
I tried many apps like:
- Bluetooth Launcher,
- Tasker,
- Bluetooth Hedset Control
They simply did nothing.
So I thought, that maybe there are strange key mappings for that device. I tried KeyNumerTracker and ButtonRemapper from this forum [URL]- no reaction, like I did not press any button.
What can I do? Can I somehow check, whether BT buttons are received by phone? And change that strange reaction for dbl-press, long press?
I experience poor sound quality after my pairing my htc desire phone via bluetooth with my parrot ck3100 handsfree device. The handsfree set is connected to my car stereo, and I need almost to turn up to full volume to be able to listen to the person on the side of the line. This problem doesnt occur with other cell phones i've tried, like nokia and samsung. I actually hear the person absolutely clearly with other cell phones. So this has to be some compatibility issue with my htc desire, or there might be some setting which can resolve this problem?

Connection wise, I can use the charging USB cable, an USB Type A female to female gender changer, then plug an USB headset onto it. Of course this is not for mobility. It was designed for the ipone but I thought it would work for this phone also. The pause and play work, and even answering the phone works. Although all of those are the same button.
I can skip forward, depending on the media player I am using, but the volume controls do not work. Does anybody know of any good apps that fix this problem? Maybe a iphone volume control app or something like it? I did find this app (Headset volume control): But it is $3, I don't know much about it and there isn't even any comments left by anyone.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just got the 2.1 OTA yesterday morning. I was one 1.5 and it loaded up without issue. A couple of quirky things to work out, but then again, there are so many more setting and functionality with 2.1.
The update broke my existing link with my BT headset. So I went in and and set it up again. I got them to "pair" but I can't get it to "connect". Does anybody have any ideas here?
BTW, my wife has an Eris too. She's a second line on my contract. She still has not gotten the ota update yet. So it appears to be totally random who it's being pushed to.
can anyone suggest some replacement wired handsfree earphones for the ones that came with the x10 - costing roughly 30 say.At a minimum I want a microphone and a button to recieve/end calls, but it would also be good to stop/start music as well. View 7 Replies View RelatedI just got my pair of UE600vi earbuds with a mic and in-line controller.
Everything works as expected (so no volume control), but what I didn't expect was that the built-in mic doesn't seem to work properly. When the cable is plugged in properly I get audio in a call, but the person on the other side of the line says he can't hear anything.. However, if I take the plug out a bit so that one black ring is out of the plug the mic seems to work,(probably because the mic is disabled and it uses the phone mic..) but I only get audio to one earbud.
I contacted Logitech which said that they can do nothing and that it's Android's problem.. However some people say that they've had no problems with apple-optimized headsets apart from the volume buttons.

I am trying to get my first button to update a display number in my view when clicked. This view will have several buttons and "outputs" displayed. After reading examples and Q's here, I finally put something together that runs, but my first button is still not working;
Some of this appears unnecessary at the moment (ie. Gravity on makeView), but it works! And should work for the 10-20 buttons I want to do misc things with.The key was getting listeners right, and the whole set-up for TextSwitcher was abit awkward...still learning.
Ive got a hero and its been updated with the 2.1 but since Ive done this the lights for the little buttons don't work anyone got any idea why

All the buttons seem to work on the screen except the locked ones on the bottom (phone, contacts, messaging, applications). I can use ALL other buttons except these will not work.

But suddenly, LED get dead, don't work for incoming calls, charge, and notifications, also background lights in buttons and trackball not work. I have set factory reset twice, and a hard reset, I have change de SD card. No way, led still dead. All other functions works fine.
Anybody have the same problem? any idea or solution. I have sent a email to HTC I'll wait a response.
I have an xml page with 3 buttons on all leading to similar xml files. However, the second and third buttons only respond if the first has been pressed (and then you go back a page and press another). If I reverse the order of the buttons in the java file, which ever button is listed first is the one that has to be used befor the others.

Does anyone notice that when you are using bluetooth headset, the proximity sensor doesn't work? Is it a bug in Android v2.1 or am I missing something? I'm using MW-600 with X10i Android 2.1 if that matters.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having a small problem with some onClick events, it's probably my .java file, the problem is once i test the app, virtual or real device, there are 2 buttons, 1 for Facebook(button1) and 1 for Twitter(button2), the Twitter one won't work until the Facebook one has been "clicked" and then you have to press back to then "click" the Twitter button.
I'm new to this so knowing my luck the java file is stating that "button2 will only work once button1 has been clicked"

View 2 Replies View RelatedEvery now and then when I get a text and try to reply, none of the letter buttons will work. From what I've tried, the only way to fix it is to exit all the way out of the messaging application and go back in. The buttons will animate like they are being pushed, vibrate, and even show swype trails and word suggestions, but none of my words will show up on the screen.
I haven't figured out the specific instances when this happens. It seems a little random but I think it may only happen when I lock the screen without leaving the messaging application first, I get a text, and try to reply immediately from the app. But I'm really not sure - it might just be random.
