May 16, 2010Anyone know of a 4x2 or 4x1 email widget? Am using a htc Desire and while the htc widget is fine I'm looking for one that does not fill up the whole screen.

General :: Weather Widget That Will Take Up Half A Screen (4x2)?
Mar 31, 2012I'm looking for a weather widget that will take up half a screen (4x2). It'll show me a 5 day forecast for an area and show other areas I have chosen at the touch of a button.
Think similar to the Facebook widget where I touch a small arrow and the next City comes up.

Motorola Droid :: Touch Screen Works On Half The Screen
Sep 11, 2010I bought a new droid for $20 haha lucky i think until i notice that the touch screen only works for the middle of the screen to the left so if yu cut the screen into thirds only the middle and left work assuming that yu cut it from top to bottom with the lights at the bottom for the home button etc. I opened it up cleaned all the flex cable with alcohol and waited for it to dry and it still does the same thing so my question is = do i need a new digitizer or is it a software problem or something that i dont even know?

Oct 15, 2009I used my Hero this morning/afternoon with music, wi-fi, internet browsing, and I used up the first half of the battery. And after that, I have been mostly studying and not using my phone... but the second half of the batter drains, it seems like, FASTER than the first half did! No music playing, no wi-fi, no internet browsing? Is this normal? Is it just the nature of these batteries?

But, instead of getting the whole view on screen, I have just the upper half, and it's also duplicated as you can see on the picure. I'm using a Nexus One.

Aug 12, 2010I just woke up and the bottom half of my X's screen is black/grey with green lines! This is the FIRST issue i have had with this phone. Picture is from the only other camera in the house, my crappy webcam, so its hard to really see. Anyone else had this? Did verizon help (especially if you bought it from their site) what should i bring to the store to get it replaced?

Aug 2, 2010I've just come to notice a problem with my desire, which I believe to be fairly long standing.For quite a long time I've been thinking that scrolling down lists/webpages/in apps etc has been quite stuttery, the wierd thing being that if you flick the list/page/whatever and let go (ie let the momentum take it) it's a lot smoother. I noticed today that when I'm scrolling with my finger on the top half of the screen it's actually really smooth, but as soon as my finger reaches the halfway point on the screen it starts to stutter. The stuttering isn't random, it seems like there's a grid of sensitivity on the screen, so it only catches up every 5mm or so (it feels like there's about 15 points of sensitivity horizontally on the screen).To test it I first downloaded the multitouch test app (as it purely reads from the driver where the touches are being detected and displays it on the screen). It still happened. I then downloaded a free drawing app, which seems to accentuate the problem, as when my finger reaches the midpoint of the screen it stops drawing altogether!I imagine it's probably a hardware problem as it's been happening for ages (only just recognised though) and during that time I've installed a debranded rom and then updated to froyo.Has anyone else noticed anything similar? I'll try and get a video on youtube to show the problem at some point. Any advice of things to try or should i just call T-Mobile support?

Aug 25, 2010So I have no clue how I got the scratch, but I have about a half inch scratch on my phone. It's very light and usually covered by a finger print. I am going back to screen protectors but I would say for a first scratch not a bad run. I have kept it naked since I bought it and have had kept in my keys with pockets. Honestly I wouldn't doubt thats how it happened !

At the moment I am using the default htc email widget, however when ever I read an email from my gmail account it doesnt update the read status so it still shows as unread.
I would like one that would update the read status and possible the support for unified inbox so I can see new mail from hotmail account and gmail.
Android :: Home Screen Widget Size In Normal Screen And Largest Screen
Mar 31, 2010I am designing a home screen widget. I ran this widget on a HTC Hero device, which has a screen of 320 pixels * 480 pixels with mdpi. It ran perfect on HTC Hero. The widget takes 3 cells * 2 cells space, i.e. 240 pixels * 200 pixels.Then I ran this widget on a Nexus One device, which has a screen of 480 pixels * 800 pixels, mdpi. Since Nexus One also is mdpi, so I though 240dip is equivalent to 240 pixels on Nexus One and 200dip is equivalent to 200 pixels on Nexus One, so the widget will not take 3 cells * 2 cells space on Nexus One device. To my surprise, when running on Nexus One device, the widget take exact 3 cells * 2 cells, about 360 pixels * 300 pixels, on Nexus One device.I am confused. The layout xml above specifies 240dip in width and 200dip in height for the widget, but why did it take 360 pixels * 300 pixels on Nexus One Device? What am I missing?

Mar 30, 2010From Android widget screen guidelines,we know that, home screen has 4*4 cells, and in portrait orientation, each cell is 80 pixels wide by 100 pixels tall. I think these are for baseline HVGA screen. How about for large screens and hdpi screens, do they still have 4*4 cells for widget and each cell in portrait orientation is still 80 pixels * 100 pixels?

Nothing on the market, I've found nothing on the internet about it being taken off. Does anyone have any information on where I can find it? I use Yahoo a lot for personal email. Jun 13, 2010I have a desire and im loving it, my only very minor gripe is HTC's own email widget/app.
I have it set up with my hotmail account and so far its functioning beautifully. However i do find it annoying that when i read an email on the desire, it doesnt mark it as read in hotmail in a browser.
Now this is possible as my nokias push email always marked it as read etc but this doesnt. Are there any settings i need to change or any similar alternative apps available that do this but also have full or half screen widgets?

Nov 23, 2010I have two email accounts on my Evo not counting Gmail. From time to time when using the email widget it shows my accounts together, seeing emails in the wrong account. Sometimes I also notice that my email account will disappear on the widget, and It will ask to choose another default email account again for the widget.
