View 1 RepliesI'm looking for a stock app or widget that handles contact communication similar to HTC Sense. merging facebook, sms, email, etc. Does anyone know of anything in the app store?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have been googling for a couple days now searching for a sortable list widget similar to the one provided by stock android music app. What I would like is ability to sort a list similar to how you can sort your music playlist. I am coming to the conclusion that I am obviously not using the proper keyword to find my answer.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have two email accounts on my Evo not counting Gmail. From time to time when using the email widget it shows my accounts together, seeing emails in the wrong account. Sometimes I also notice that my email account will disappear on the widget, and It will ask to choose another default email account again for the widget.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am running the latest version of frankenrom. My question is can I get the stock status bar while still using sense? is there a them that would allow me to do that? I really only want to change the status bar so it looks like stock Android but nothing else.

View 9 Replies View RelatedI think I tried to longpress in the text entry field and find another option but two things about the keyboard really irk me.
1. You cannot enable an autospace to be inserted after you choose an autocorrect word option.
2. I'm just not a fan of the long press on letters to access symbols/numbers.
Maybe I'm spoiled by the Droid but can you swap the text input to the standard keyboard?
How can I set just a standard location for it to update instead of trying to guess where I am every time?
I tried going to settings but it doesn't have many cities...
I'm new. I've been lurking for awhile, but I finally made an account
I have a quick question. I'm looking to install the Uncommon Sense ROM, but what if I want to go back to my stock ROM? How do I do that?
My wife really likes the weather animations with the stock Sense UI weather widget. However, she is running LP and cannot use that widget anymore. Does anyone know of a weather/clock widget that still gives you those animations that can be used with LP?
I have beautiful widgets currently, but it doesn't show the full screen animations like she likes (windshield wipers if it is raining, bright sunlight when sunny, etc.).
I cant seem to get HTML working on my HTC Email client on an Active Sync - I use hosted exchange by App river - supposed to be 2007. When I go to click on the setting for Message Format, it says Plain Text and is greyed out. I know there are a few other threads on this, but this is a bit different...
1. Is there a separate inherent Android Email client that will achieve this?
2. I dont want to use Touchdown or K-9
Secondly, I cant seem to disable Sense on this phone - is that something HTC has shut off? I clear defaults and hit home, and it reboots to Sense everytime. I was trying to do this to see what the built-in email would be like.
I used to have sense but rooted and went to a senseless ROM. The only thing I liked about sense was Facebook for HTC Sense. Every app I have found to sync facebook profiles only does the pictures. Is there an app that will sync birthdays to the calendar and pictures to my contacts, and allow me to choose which syncs where? I have some friends with Facebook names that I do NOT want to be as my phone contacts.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI'm talking about the default clock/weather widget that is on the home screen...
Is it possible to make it so the widget shows weather info for a user-specified location? I was able to add an additional location once inside the HTC Weather app (by scrolling down), but I have had no luck finding anywhere to change the location that appears on the actual home screen.
It wouldn't be such a problem since it does correctly display my location (New York), but it is WAY off in terms of weather. For example, the widget is showing 72 degrees when it's actually 85. That's a HUGE difference and it's bothering me a lot.
I'm assuming it is pulling weather data from somewhere in upstate NY and not from NYC (where I am)? The manual entry I added is showing correct info, but it's very annoying having incorrect data showing up on the home screen and having to click into the widget and then scroll down to get the actual info.
All the videos i have watched of comparisons and what not, i have loved what i have seen from Sense UI. Even though its still the first day the X's UI seems bland to me. So is there any downloads that might help ?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to work for my Mom with her new HTC Desire HD. She likes Sense overall and wants to keep it, but she saw my EVO 3D running MIUI and absolutely loved the calendar app, with the different settings and the overall feel of it.
Is there any app that I could install on her HTC Desire HD (not rooted, S-ON) that would do this? (One of the most important features is the ability to set custom ringtones for appointments in the calendar)
I'm looking for a widget similar to power control but that is free. My brother has one that came with his droid x and I'm envious. It allows you to turn gps 3g and wifi on and off from the widget on your home screen.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm hoping someone might have a suggestion for how to port the News and Weather Widget from stock 2.1 do the Incredible. I had it on my Moto Droid (now the wife's phone), and I really prefer it to the HTC Flip-clock. I like how unobtrusive it is.
View 14 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know if it's possible to create a folder in addition to the standard ones (outbox, sent, deleted, etc) that exist in the stock HTC email program. I would like a way of saving certain emails and I don't know if there's a way for doing that.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm liking Virtuous, but I much prefer the stock battery widget which just shows a qualitative, graphical battery level. Being aware of the instantaneous percentage of remaining battery at all times makes me properly crazy.
View 4 Replies View RelatedOne of the things I liked about Sense (I'm rooted now and running the Second Wave ROM) was the HTC weather animations when the screen was unlocked. After installing Widget Locker, I noticed an option to turn them on and now I have them back! I also installed the Weather & Toggle Widget and installed the weather skin that looks just like the Sense weather with the flip clock. The annoying part is that when it's sunny, or partly sunny, the "sun animation" from Sense doesn't perfectly align with the Weather & Toggle Widget weather icon. I know, I know, it's a minor problem and goes away when the animation is done, but the lack of symmetry sometimes annoys the hell out of me.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIs there an app/widget for my @msn.com email account? Yes, I searched the market, didn't see anything obvious. What do most people use for their msn or hotmail accounts? Is it just as stupid as logging into msn.com on their website?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI am using the HTC email widget for my pop3 hotmail account. I forwarded some email to my account because I'm going on a trip and wanted easy access. The widget deletes all my email (read or not) every morning. How can I stop it from doing that? Is there an email app/widget besides the HTC one?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI just flew from Raleigh, NC (eastern) to Chicago (central). The clock on the phone has the correct time but the weather/clock widget that came with the dinc is still on eastern time. View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using the stock HTC e-mail program on my Droid Incredible to access my Gmail account. Up until recently, I would get a single notification for each new e-mail message that came in. Now when I get a notification that an e-mail has come in I get a follow-up notification every five minutes or so until I open my e-mail program. This started happening even though I didn't change any settings. I have been unable to find a setting either in HTC's e-mail or in Gmail to undo this. I think, but am not sure, that this started up when I upgraded to 2.3.4.

Could anybody point me to the xml that gives a layout similar to the Android email app? Basically it's a list view, with 3 columns per row. The 1st and 3rd columns are fixed width, and the middle column expands to fill the view.
I understand how to customize a list view, but I cannot figure out the xml required for those rows.
Totally new to the forum, so please be nice! I have looked at other threads and cant seem to find an answer there so here it goes.Does anyone know of an App that acts similar to the Blackberry email client? What i really mean is does anyone know of an app that acts as a third party entering your log in details and then pushing emails to your phone (similar to what i believe the BB client does)I only ask as i wish to connect to my Uni email address and the IMAP settings are restricted on undergraduate accounts, so cant sync in the usual way via IMAP. However, people who have BB's at uni have no issue in connecting to their emails. On asking the IT guys why this is they explained "The reason people are able to use Blackberry?s is due to the fact that they provide there password to an external company to access there mail on behalf of them which is strongly against the terms and conditions of there university account, and as a result should not be doing this at all."Essentially i need an app that mimics this.Any help out there for a poor helpless noob to the forum who is very much in love with his new HTC desire?
