View 5 RepliesIs there any difference because i noticed that there are a couple bugs(swype is a little erradic, missing apps). So is there a difference and also will i be able to update to the official froyo if already on the leaked version?
View 5 Replies View Relatedi decided to make this thread for all the new people, apparently there is still people sign in up for the forums, and new comers from another OSs(BB, Iphone, WM, etc)So this is some features that you don't see in the Evo of froyo(is not because is not capable but is more like HTC and Sprint wanted that way )Stock Launcher, not 2.2 launcher because we got sense the closest thing you can find to it is LauncherPro(favorite one) or ADW launcher(sorry i couldn't find the link just put it like that in google android market)Gallery, many people keeps asking for this special gallery cause it really is cool made by coloris because they team up with google here is a link (credit goes to dark Neo for finding the link)the power control i have no idea why we didn't get the updated it one but hopefully we do before the end of the year i'm pretty sure we getting another update before the end of the year well those are the most requested ones, besides that camera, calendar, messages, car dock, etc are all different because of sense, Sense UI is more then just a skin for Evo, any question please ask, i know a lot good users in this forums and they always happy to give you the most correct information.

http://www.xperiax10.net/2010/09/11/android-roadmap-leaked-for-xperia-x10-family/
We have been sent what is believed to be the Android roadmap for the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 family. It is in German and originates from last week's IFA show in Berlin. We can't verify whether it is real or not, but it appears legit to us. The roadmap highlights three major firmware releases: Android 1.6x, Android 2.1 and Android 2.1x. It shows that the Android 2.1 update for the Xperia X10 will get 720p video recording with continuous autofocus. HTML5 will also be adopted along with 5 homescreens and a social phonebook (facebook/twitter integration with your contacts). The document also points to a revised menu.
For the X10 mini, X10 mini pro and X8 the 2.1 update will bring with it a slight change in the four-corner navigation along with Bluetooth 2.1. These mobiles will also get the social phonebook and HTML5 adoption. Following this, there will then be the Android 2.1x update that will bring Sony Ericsson's revamped UX platform to Timescape and Mediascape along with more languages. Unfortunately, the roadmap for all handsets stops at 2.1x so I wonder whether we'll ever see Android 2.2 (Froyo) on the X10."
Update: According to forum member steinii1488 of se-world.info the Android 2.1 update is expected in October/November (this could be a regional thing as SE UK have promised an update by the end of Q3). He goes on to say that the Android 2.1x update will fall in December 2010/January 2011. This means that if SE is planning a Froyo update for the Xperia X10, it won't fall in 2010.
My data seems to go down often and I have to reboot the phone to get my "3G" back on my device. Has anyone had this issue? Is there a fix?
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have seen a few firmware versions of FROYO banded around for the Desire on this Forum. Having updated my O2 Desire yesterday and playing around with it, I was curious how the O2 firmware compares with the rest. My software details are as follows: Android version 2.2. Baseband version 32.44.00.32U_5.09.05.30_2 Kernel version 2.6.32.15-gd96f2c0 htc-kernel@and18-2 #1 Build number 2.14.207.1 CL233777 release-keys Software number 2.14.207.1 Browser version Webkit 3.1. I may be optimistic/delusional but I have discovered some features in the O2 Froyo release from yesterday that were showcased the other day at the HTC Desire HD and HTC Desire Z launch event as being part of the all new HTC Sense.

View 18 Replies View Relatedi understand a lot of you are busy trying to fix this mess that is the OTA. I for one want to thank all of you that have put in your personal time and hard work to do for this community the things you have done. I also understand you have told everyone that when you do this stuff with your phone there is a risk. That being said what is the best way to go from 2.3.9 to 2.3.15 and stay rooted. I am currently running flyx on my phone as well that i love and i have a black status bar as well not sure if this makes a difference. Thank you for your help.

Hopefully it'll be ported soon!
I just realized that for the past 30 minutes or so, I had my phone sitting on my comforter while I was tweaking it after installing the leaked Froyo ROM, and it was working!
Before I installed this ROM, my phone would NEVER work while sitting on my comforter without touching a finger to the side (the whole grounding issue).
It sure seems as if this update contained a fix for the grounding issue (like the EVO had a while back IIRC).
Anyone have a link to the leaked Froyo 2.2 for Droid X? Every one on here that I have tried has been deleted already.
View 2 Replies View RelatedNo Path to Official DROIDX Update Coming from Motorola for Leaked 2.2 Users | Droid Life: A Droid Community Blog Ouch. Honestly, I saw this coming. Ah well. For those who upgraded, and still want the official release, flashing the phone back to stock is not all that hard from what I've read.
View 49 Replies View Relatedit's possible to get a newer version of bluetooth into the leaked froyo rom... the one that is currently in the leaked rom doesn't work with wiimote.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis is an update to the market fix thread from below. However, to fix streaming audio quality, it also requires build.prop changes. So please disregard that thread and take a look at this one.
market_streaming_fix_froyo.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download
Note, if you are having trouble with performance, this will JUST fix the market and return the streaming audio settings back to default.

I anyone else noticing issues with System Panel on the leaked Froyo Rom? I assume 2.2 handles memory in a different way, and System Panel doesn't read it correctly. It shows all of my apps running without anything being cached. Also, the CPU clock seems to be running at 700MHz or more constantly instead of coming down to ~300 or so like it showed on 2.1. However the CPU graph on the top left does come down like normal.
View 7 Replies View RelatedThis is a minor rant, and I'm not attempting to pick on any one individual. I'm just going crazy reading a new thread every 5 minutes of someone discovering a new issue with their X after installing a leaked and of course UNOFFICIAL build of Froyo. I mean you've already been warned of the potential problems and risks you might face with installing the leaked build; so why take the chance of potentially bricking your phone? Either way, maybe the mods can create a separate Froyo sub-forum for the time being, until we finally see an official release.
View 20 Replies View RelatedOne thing that I really like about the phone is the ability to play music from my phone to my car stereo via Bluetooth because it has the A2DP. No wires and I can control the music ON the deck itself instead of the phone. I've updated the phone with the leaked froyo about 2 days after it was leaked. I noticed that I couldn't play music from my phone to my car stereo anymore via bluetooth. I am able to take calls fine via bluetooth while I am driving, it just won't play any music.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs the recently leaked froyo update for droid compatible with the milestone?
I'm in Canada but I bought the european droid online....
Anyone know when will the features introduced in Google I/O about installing apps from the market via the website and etc be released?

I updated Google Maps to 4.6 yesterday. And I am unable to see one of the main features of the new version i.e. to filter results by open times and neighbourhood etc. When I click on the places icon in my maps, it just shows me the two search filters that I had before - 'Distance' and 'Rating'. Am I the only one who is having this problem? I am on T-Mobile in UK.
View 7 Replies View RelatedFor me, it appears so, sucks because latest Google Voice is great and the sole reason I want to go back to 1.5 (and then maybe the root 2.1 etcs)Confirmed for me, calls now show google voice number in latest google voice app! (as displayed in long list of fixes/improvements.) I definitely encourage any old Leak V2 users to upgrade that want the latest Google Voice!
View 5 Replies View RelatedAlright, so for all of us downloaded the leaked froyo, is there any news on how to root it? I would like to get to the "official" rooted froyo.

Will it disappear from my Google Play Music after it's supposed to expire (06-07-2014)? My account type still lists as All Access...

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just gotta ask. Does anyone have any knowledge of an upcoming ADC3?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm coming from Windows Mobile (Touch Pro2) and I'm going to miss having my upcoming appointments on the home screen. Is it possible to have this set up? I'm only seeing icons/widgets in all the reviews. The phone I'll be getting will be the EVO 4G. Also, how well does Google Voice implement into Android, is it possible to have an option to either call from my regular cell number or from google voice without going through an app or the website?
View 3 Replies View RelatedAnyone hearing any news on upcoming dual core releases. I'm eligible for upgrade on 12-1-10 but if something new is coming out I'd wait a few months. I'm with sprint and would like to stay with them, hoping they will have one of the new dual core releases.
