The native calendar widget doesn't display the current days events only the upcoming ones. Is there a way to change this or a different calendar app that is better?

So the large calendar widget that I placed on my home screen used to show dark little tabs in the corner of everyday that I had an event. While I was looking through it, all of the little tabs disappeared and I have no idea what days I have events unless I go into the actual calendar app. Is there any way to keep them there permanently?

I think it was the work one but I want to use the sprint scene and add that widget. Is this possible? Also, is there a to do list or task list app built in or do I need to download one. If I do have to download one are there any recommendations.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've now had and used my Samsung Moment for a full month now, and I have to say this is the best phone I have ever used.
I carry multiple smartphones on me, usually a Blackberry of some sort, Palm Treos / Centros, iPhone, and now my Samsung Moment. While all the smartphones are really good, the Samsung Moment has been really great.
Despite all the complaints you read here, I have only had a couple of minor annoyances:
1. The Google Calendar widget doesn't default to the current day when you click on it. I have accidentally entered appointments for "today" when I realize a bit later that it was on another day that I had scrolled to previously. I hope there will be a setting to always display the current day in the future.
2. I use Astrid to sync my to do list with Remember The Milk. Anytime I add a new task if I'm using the physical keyboard, and slide it shut and go to the portrait mode for the virtual keyboard, somehow my text is wiped clean and I have to start from scratch again.
The battery life is excellent. Based on my moderate use, I easily get 2-3 days out of my phone, which is as good as my Palm Centro or my Blackberries.So glad I have this phone, can't wait for future updates though to play with.
After the 2.2 update, my calendar doesn't show all day events anymore with the little color marker even though I know there's an all day event on a particular day.

I have a Droid X2. I downloaded Google Calendar Sync to my computer which synced my Outlook with my Gmail calendar, and that displayed on my phone, but events created on the phone do not display in the Google calendar or Outlook.
I have gone to phone Settings > Accounts > checked Gmail to sync calendar. Google Calendar Sync on my computer is set for 2-way syncing and to do so every 15 minutes. The phone is rooted.
I am using android 2.2 on my HTC desire and I have a strange issue with calendar. The fact is that the events are not "alligned" with the days at the top of calendar. That is, an event that is going to occur on october 13th, is displayed on the column correspondent to October 14th.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've been looking for a solution to an unusual problem, my work schedule repeats every 35 days.
When I used a windows device with outlook I could program in my rotation and make each day recur every 35 days. I could then look at my calendar and see on any given day of the year if I was off, or working nights, or days. The Google/Android calendar only offers recurring appointments up to 30 days, and won't sync with my version of outlook.
Does anyone know if the 12/11 update will include a sync option for all Outlook? Anyone know of a calendar app that will allow appointments to recur 35 days later? Is it possible to trick the Google calendar (or Yahoo, or Excite) to repeat at 35 days?
I need a new calender or I need help figuring out whats wrong with my htc calender. Everytime I go to the page with my calender on it, all the days with events go blank and I have to scroll down to the next month and back up for them to appear.
View 1 Replies View RelatedToday i changed around a couple of my widgets,from orangeworld to android market as it happens but i dont think this is relevant to my problem.Anyhow i now have a white box that appears when i unlock that says "no upcoming calendar events" i want to get rid of this as it moves my wallpaper across the screen so you can only see half of it.I have tried putting in an event then deleting it & the usual switching on & off etc.Any answers are very welcome as this is driving me nuts!

View 2 Replies View RelatedI did a search but cant seem to find an answer. I finally got my work email set up through active sync. Is there a way to get the calendar events to show up on my google calendar? I use calendar pro which I love. I don't know if there is a work around or I am just not knowledgable enough to understand it. A for instance would be that my work email gives me an event or invite...it will show up on the phones calendar but not on my google calendar/events. (my google notification each morning may say "no events scheduled for the day" but phone calendar/calendar pro will show it)

View 7 Replies View RelatedDoes anybody else have this problem? My Calendar widget that comes with Android (Calendar) has been synched with my google calendar, but it only shows events for tomorrow, and even sends notifications for those events a full day early.
Example:
Today is Feb 11th. I have an event today (we'll call it A) and an event tomorrow (we'll call it B)
The calendar widget has a blue bar across the top that says "Thu 11" This is correct! Below that it has a white field that says
"Feb 12
Event B"
If I click on the widget it takes me to today's page in the calendar application, the 11th which shows me today's event.
How can I get my calendar widget on the front page to show me what is happening TODAY and give me notifications for it TODAY?
I played with the Fascinate today for more than an hour at VZW. I LOVE IT. My only question is related to the calendar. On my D1 I have many more widget choices including the calendar. This widget displays on my home screen and always shows my next appointment whether it is today or in a week. The next calender entry always shows. This is not the case for the Fascinate. It has a nice widget that shows weather, stocks, and at the bottom appointments. It only shows today's appointments. I downloaded a calender widget app that was nice and may work but it would not open so I don't know.
Now the question: Can any of you guys with the fascinate comment on a widget that allows the widget to display the next entry on the calendar. To be clear on my D1, if I have no calendar entries for today, my 10am meeting tomorrow shows up on the widget with a time and date. Can one do this with the Fascinate.
I've had my Hero on Orange for 4 or 5 days now and apart from when I first switched on the phone the weather app has just said "No weather data available" and the clock/weather widget has just had my location. I have the "location by cell" thing switched on, and I did manage to get it working once with the GPS, but other than that it just displays my location. It's the same whatever location I am in. The other cities download the weather just fine (London, Paris, New York, etc.). It's not like I'm somewhere tiny either, I am in Bromley. It doesn't make any difference whether I'm using WiFi or 3G.
View 49 Replies View RelatedAt one time I thought I could edit (aka change) a previous event by:
1) Selecting the date on the calendar view
2) Selecting the event
3) This brings me to the "Event details". When the the screen opens I see the whole edit menu for a moment. Then I only see the event with date and time and a line that says "my calendar" with an icon. The menu's only choices are "add reminder", "delete" and "share vCalendar".
At one time I had an way of editing the event. I just cannot figure out how to do it now.
Google Calendar on the web shows everything correct BUT, my Droid, even after syncing, shows duplicates of some Events - seems random - and these are not on the web Calendar as duplicates, also shows Events but does not show what they say unless you click on them - no text. What do I do? Do I remove the duplicate in Droid or just let it sync itself correct in time? is there a way to have it better sync?

I have my hero using built in calendar app.I have a google calendar and a Exchange calendar, I also have My calendar, not sure what that is. I would like to have all the calendars sync using the phone as the main source. So for example if I create a meeting on my phone it also shows on my exchange calendar and my google calendar. At the moment I have to add a calendar entry under the calendar I want the entry to show up on.So If I add an entry to my exchange calendar it doesn't show in google calendar. But "Corporate" accounts, which include my Hotmail and GroupWise calendars, won't sync calendar appointments older than two weeks. Even worse: appointments from older than two weeks ago actually drop off.
On settings, I have it set to sync all. I tried adding and removing accounts. I tried deleting calendar memory/cache. I have even tried returning my Nexus 7. The replacement has the same issue.
I just noticed that none of my events on my Droid have any reminders. They have reminders in Google Calendar online, and in Outlook (they are sync'd from Outlook to Google Calendar by the "Syncmycal" program.) So somewhere between Google Calendar and my Droid I'm loosing reminder settings. The events are all there in my calendar, but none of them has a reminder set.
