does the Internet connection is the reason? or because i input several input stream to display each image?

My internet connection seems to be running pretty slow atm. It keep jumping from 3G+ which is really fast then back to G which is pretty slow, Why is this? Is there a way to make it 3G+ all the time and be stable or is it common for it to flip through them its changing like every few seconds.

My internet conection is painfully slow. when I have the mobile network switched on a get a G with two arrows showing GPRS?
Is this correct, should I not see a 3G with two arrows? I am with O2UK.
It's a Motorola Xoom running Android 4.1.2. The issue it's having is that even though the tablet is connected to the internet none of the apps (play store, YouTube, etc) will connect. They all say 'no internet connection'. The only way I know the tablet is actually connected to Wi-Fi is that the internet browser still works. This might be unrelated to the issue but every single website I go to it gives me the warning 'Security warning: There are problems with the security certificate for this site'. Sometimes I will have to hit cancel 10 times before the warning goes away.
this is something I can fix without doing a complete reset because there are pictures and stuff I don't want to lose. Since I can't connect to google play I can't back them up to am app like dropbox either.
I have rooted my DI, and I downloaded the newest WiFi tethering app 2.0.5. I can connect to my droid with my wireless PC, but it always say no internet connection. It shows I'm connected but without internet access.

View 16 Replies View RelatedI'm sitting next to my girlfriend in class right now and we both attempt to look at our internet banking. I was able to pull mine up, then hers up before her banking home page would even load. I tried the google homepage and it seems to take even longer than most other websites. I would think of all sites to go slow, google.com would not be one of them. Anyone have any ideas as to why my browser loads pages so much faster than hers?
View 4 Replies View Relatedi've had my droidx since it came out. Its always worked great. but for the last two weeks or so it has been VERY annoying. App for chatting like AIN or trillian do not connect long enough or well enough to talk to people. My service is also lagging as well as wifi. And my market is very very bad with loading. Any suggestions? I do not have an automatic task killer. And i do use juicedefender, but on days i leave it off i have the same problem.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI did a search and couldn't really find any threads with people having similar issues. I saw that people were having trouble keeping their X connected to a network, but that's not my issue.
I have a Droid Incredible and added a line to get the X figuring I'd just sell off the Inc when my X arrived. Since I got my X, I've noticed that when I am connected to a wifi network, it almost seems to crawl when I hop around from page to page.
I ran some speed tests on my internet connection, it seemed that it was my phone. So then I ran speed tests with the app in the marketplace, first on the DInc and then on X. The upload speeds were pretty close to identical, but the download speeds were consistently 300 kbps higher on the Droid Incredible.
So after running those tests, I decided to just do some side by side browsing on the X and Inc to see how big the difference was between the two. I opened up a few pages that I don't ever really visit so they weren't in my browsing history and the Incredible would again open pages 10-15 seconds quicker.
Has anyone else had these same issues? I know their was a software release shortly after the initial launch, is their another one in the pipeline?
I love the phone, it's a multimedia beast. But I don't think I want to keep one that has a busted wifi connection.
So lately my Eris has been running extremely slow. About a week ago I got a notification for "Internal memory is getting low." So after reading through several threads of the same topic and doing all the suggested actions (delete old text messages, uninstall unnecessary apps, clearing the cache for applications) my internal phone storage now says that there is 45.61 MB free. Yet, I still have not noticed any improvement in performance.
For example, I use Handcent to text message, and lately I have been unable to open it without it force closing every time. I've tried removing it as the default and using the native SMS program, but when I go to compose a new message it won't bring in any of my contacts when I go to select one. It just stays at a loading screen and then force closes. Also, it shows the phone number of an incoming text instead of the contact name as its stored in my phone book, so I pretty much have to guess who's number it is. Any thoughts on why it would do that? The dialer is just as bad, and since I don't have any of my friend's phone numbers memorized the phone is pretty much useless now and unable to perform the most basic of functions, using it to make calls.
I'm at my wit's end pretty much, the only other thing that I can think of is performing a factory reset. Does anyone have any alternative suggestions or experience as to whether a full reset actually helps?
My phone is not rooted. I know, I know. Rooting will improve performance, but it seems like a hassle to me and I'd rather not have to deal with it (at least not yet).
How can I determine the current internet connection type available to an Android device? e.g. have it return WiFi, 3G, none.

I recently wiped (sbf-->root-->2.2). Any advice on trouble shooting this?
For some reason my x loads webpages very very slow. I know its not my area because my buddies droid 1 is fine. Sometimes mine wont load at all. Any ideas?

I have fios with a westell wireless g router but im only getting about 1 mbit up and down when i sit right next to it. Also wondering if anything notices the screen tilts a little bit when you press on it, like its loose.

When i have the swype app running then my phone is very slow, meaning when i just hit the home bottom takes five seconds to get there with all icons showing. So my phone has been super slow, lagging, kicking me out of the internet, no calls when people say they call etc. I talked to Verizon and they want me to do a hard reset. Is this necessary?? Would love some help with this b/c my phone is really starting to frustrate me. My husband was in the store yesterday, sent me a txt and when he got back in the car asked me why I didn't respond. By the time I got his text, wrote back and it finally sent he was back in the car! So yeah lagging is such a great thing!
Does anybody else notice at times their internet connection hanging? It will sometimes partially load a page and then not respond for minutes after. I end up force closing the browser, waiting a few minutes and then trying again.

The problem is that I will have, say, my laptop, or any device for that matter, connected to my Droid and I am able to maintain a steady internet connection for about a minute. After that, the tethering application reports a download speed of 0.0kbps. If I disconnect my laptop (or other device) and reconnect it, it'll start to work again, but only for about another minute. Any ideas as to why this is happening?

What I see (with thousands of times run) is that this code takes about 1ms for every 7-10 bytes read. So reading just 10k takes almost a second!
My mytouch 3g has been running extremely slow. it would take about a year to open messaging, browsers took longer, and so on. i bought setcpu (overclocking app) and wow......it now takes nothing for me to do anything on my phone. its faster than it was when i first opened it. cant believe i never heard of this before......if you dont have it, get it....(root users)
