Have any if of you guys been experiencing this kind of slow laggy delayed scrolling while on internet? I am running launcher pro and started noticing this effect after getting the 2.2 froyo update. 2.2 doesn't seem to impressive. Other than the flash capability. I could careless for it.

Anybody else get delayed data problems, unlock phone and then signal drop's then goes up a little, hard to get a webpage to load, just something with data connection, and the phone can't stay at a reliable signal bar just keeps jumping all over the place?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm sitting next to my girlfriend in class right now and we both attempt to look at our internet banking. I was able to pull mine up, then hers up before her banking home page would even load. I tried the google homepage and it seems to take even longer than most other websites. I would think of all sites to go slow, google.com would not be one of them. Anyone have any ideas as to why my browser loads pages so much faster than hers?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI dont know if its something i did or what, but my 3G is slower than dialup right now. However when i run speed test I am getting ~1.3-1.5mbps. Simply mobile web pages take forever to load.
I recently wiped (sbf-->root-->2.2). Any advice on trouble shooting this?
For some reason my x loads webpages very very slow. I know its not my area because my buddies droid 1 is fine. Sometimes mine wont load at all. Any ideas?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI know how to use google and search, but I still like personal feedback incase I missed something.Rooted with Unrevoked. Overclock Widget battery life tweak and the google talk/flickr/other battery tweaks. I'm going on 16 hours today with normal usage and the tweaks - Anyhow, yesterday and prior to that gmail and gvoice push was instant, but today and last night it's been slow and often never even comes unless I go to the app and update it manually. I do have ATK installed, but turned the auto kill to off and only use it when the bloat-sprint apps get running. So don't flame about that.Also, I changed the notification sound on each account and now I hear the set sound (quagmire app) and the android default after - when a push actually comes through.I can't find any settings that I unchecked that would make it not update as fast or at all (been back though all of them), but perhaps something else is screwy - I do have gmail and gvoice tabs open on 1 to 2 computers all day, if that would do it.And I guess I can't use data (unless it's wifi or 4G) while I'm in a phone call? Which really sucks because I like to do data related stuff while I'm talking to family and people who just blaber on and on. Miss that about my iPhone but other than that, I'm sold on android - 9 people I know got the evo already.

The problem is most noticible if I receive an email on my account (view it on my computer because my phone only checks for new mail every 15 mins.) and read it/ delete it on my computer, about 2 hours later it is sent to my droid as New Mail? I have also noticed that mail i have not read has been delayed also. Any ideas? P.s. This is for a friend of mines DROID. Not really sure how to fix it because all my email is through Gmail!

I've noticed this in both my apps and the only common thing between them is the textview in both apps use Spanned (SpanableStringBuilder to be exact) text. This happens even when there is no activity on the window and no any pops up either.

All is working perfect, except the list view scrolling, its very slow. If I disable the images, the scroll speed smooth-ens , but with the image enabled, it lags alot.
Is there any possible way I can reduce or remove this lagging?
Just got a Droid X... coming from 3 years of horrible T-Mobile, so I'm excited to be on verizon finally! One problem though, and big because I text a lot - I notice my text messages are being delayed. They often come maybe 5 minutes later in groups of 3 or however many on in queue. It looks as if my phone is only checking periodically... how can I troubleshoot this? Perhaps it's a signal issue but I can still send texts and also receive calls.

I updated to Froyo with the RUU from xda and immediately noticed slow and laggy scrolling on web pages. I noticed that although I did have flash 10.1, the version number was 10.1.72.? I found a version 10.1.92.8 on the droid life forums, updated to this version and the slow scrolling is gone.

So my phone has been super slow, lagging, kicking me out of the internet, no calls when people say they call etc. I talked to Verizon and they want me to do a hard reset. Is this necessary?? It scares me to possibly lose all my stuff. So if I need to do this then what do I need to make sure is backed up??
Would love some help with this b/c my phone is really starting to frustrate me. My husband was in the store yesterday, sent me a txt and when he got back in the car asked me why I didn't respond. By the time I got his text, wrote back and it finally sent he was back in the car! So yeah lagging is such a great thing!
Does anyone else suffer from slow scrolling? For instance on the list of applications and on a large message thread the scrolling is very laggy and jerky. Surely this shouldn't happen with it's 1Ghz processor?
View 5 Replies View RelatedFor a project, I'm displaying an image with sizes 800 x 600 and I've implemented my custom scrolling (horizontal and vertical) - which is works fine. However, my problem is that it's not fast enough. If you continuously move your finger on screen for instance, scrolling is not responding fast enough. There is a lag and you need to wait (say 400-500ms) for new scrolled image to be loaded. Now below I described how I implemented scrolling and my question is that
- How can I make it faster, if possible - Is there any other better way to implement this.
My custom scrolling solution:
* I have a Main activity, SurfaceView and a thread
* In main activity, I'm using GestureDetector and override onScroll method.
* In onScroll method of activity, I'm passing values to SurfaceView's "handleScrolling" method.
* In "handleScrolling" method, I'm calculating proper values and using "newImage = Bitmap.createBitmap(myImage, starX, stopY, SCREEN_WIDTH, SCREEN_HEIGHT)"; to create a new, "scrolled" image.
* Then in thread loop, I'm drawing this "newImage" to canvas.
Anybody else experiencing this? The lag is horrible.
View 15 Replies View RelatedI got my x on launch day no root no 2.2 all stock .well i've been noticing its getting slower don't have much installed only about 10 apps. The browser will start and then stop when u tell it to go somewere then after a dew sec it takes back off. Text message when u bring it up it takes about 10 sec to load then another lag to start typing and there wont be any old messages in box and when they do finally come up u can't scroll threw the old ones.

From what I've found this should be possible again, but I can't seem to get it to play nice with me. Is it possible now (without too much monkeying around)? While I'm thinking of it: are the brower's bookmarks saved as a webpage? That might make things more convenient.

View 19 Replies View RelatedI was so happy when I was able to pull myself away from the iphone and really was hoping for great things with my new hero.I must say the hero is great! BUT Im tempted everytime I go online with my Hero to either stamp on it or throw it out the window.I used to surf a lot at home over wifi with my iphone, It was quick always a great connection absolutly no problems.Now i have no iphone and surf with my Hero, must say the worst and most annoying situation from a surfing point of view.I have full bars on wifi connection, yet it is sooo slow. But not only slow I also need to refresh the page i want to view at least 3 or 4 times till the network error dissapears and the webpage is shown, same goes when accessing the market app.Like I said the hero itself is really great, but at the moment for me it is a much more pleasent experience surfing over wifi on the iphone.I thought I was over the iphone groupie phase but it looks like their going to get me back unless maybe theres someone who knows about this wifi problem.

This is my first touchscreen phone and I am having trouble getting use to it and was wondering if there were any tricks to it. While scrolling a page with my finger I often find I am inadvertently clicking a link I didn't intend or two links are close together and my finger makes contact with the wrong one first and in both cases I have to stop loading the page I dont want, hit menu and back to reload the page I did want and start scrolling over again.I also find it unnatural that the phone can scroll in both the x and y directions at the same time. It makes sense to scroll in whatever direction is more predominant.
