I already said my pc got a virus last night. I noticed I got an message on my phone from the same that crashed my pc. My phone is slowing down and its just a few days old. Is it possible I contracted the virus on my phone since I use it to tether my phone?

View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen connecting my Evo to a computer, there is an "Internet Sharing" option. I am curious to know, does this cost extra monthly? I know the wifi tether is the extra $30 a month, but will this charge me the same?
I only have interest in rooting my phone if it's the only way to share internet with my Netbook. Wifi isn't all that important to me, and seeing as I've completely and utterly failed at doing the Unrevoked method for rooting... I'm hoping I won't actually have to root my phone after all.

Having checked the details of this supposed virus, it appears to be in the Google folder. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a way to "ignore" it or safely remove it without causing problems?

Both programs start up correctly and allow me to enable to wifi tethering but I can't get any device to see the wifi connection they are creating. I have tried both scanning for the network and trying to manually connect to it by typing in the SSID but I can't get any device to see the network. I am using a Droid X with the official 2.2 update rooted.

The problem with this is I'm using up my 3g internet on my phone a lot more and i'd like to do things like update my apps and check twitter more but i'm scared i'll run out. I have jail broken iphone as well as a jail broken Ipad that does the job right now. It really makes the devices worth owning I use my ipad for everything now. Anyway love the droid incredible just need to know the best phone to hotspot tether. I know I can do it with the htc imagio or what ever but who wants a windows 6.5 phone, when their are android phones available.

Eh lame, I removed the app and jumped into bed.Today I was out driving around and got a warning my internal Phone memory was low. I took a look and it said 150 MB free.so I rebooted the phone and maybe I was being dumb because I thought you could cancel the SIM password and use the device as a PDA with no access to make phone calls.Anyhow I restored my clockwork recovery nandroid backup from a couple of days ago and now things seem better. Phone has 0.9 GB free.Are there any good applications to help manage the available memory on the phone?

Its broadcasting that it made an available wireless access point, but when I try to connect to it nothing happens. My computer wont link up to it. I know my WiFi card works because I have a working wireless access point where I live that I use every day with no issues. Its like my laptop sees the network, but wont associate with it. I tried using barnacle and it did the exact same thing.

Is it possible to get a virus on this device? I got a text from a few friends saying that they got an email (which was send to everyone in my Google contacts) with a Spam link for some Russian website. I only check my email from my Mac Book Pro or my Incredible. The password is unique from any other account I have, and it was recently changed. I am 100% sure no one knows what it is. Now it has been changed, and my Google account (my primary account, the one that everything from the phone syncs with) has been disabled my Google. I'm trying to figure out how this happened so it doesn't happen again.

This happens when I download something from the playstore or when I delete apps.
It Makes crazy and I have tried some things alrdy so fix it without any succes.
- Downloaded and installed virusscannen, no succes
- Downloaded and installed ad detector, found a app with leadbolt, deleted it but didn't solve the problem
