Considering this phone will have better specs and lower no contract price ($349),wondering why wouldn't this GSM phone work on T-Mobile's coverage? Might have to wait for the weekend after all....

If any of you own an uncloaked captivate, and also have a T-mobile phone, and you don't mind testing let me know. I want to confirm my fix, that popping in an active T-mobile sim card with data plan, will allow an unlocked Captivate to get a 3G signal. No software or root required, it is actually very easy. If you are willing to volunteer, let me know.

In the video posted by Rob Jackson here HTC Hero On T-Mobile USA: SIM Card Switcheroo | Android Phone Fans it shows him going into mobile network settings and configuring some things. If i were to get a hero would i have to do the same to get the phone working? If so how would i get that information.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have been using raptor with a2sd set up, the newest kernel and turbo 4. I decided to install nfl mobile so I can watch the thursday night game tonight and it doesn't work.... thought it was an a2sd issue so I reformatted my sd card and flashed a fresh raptor. It worked. So I updated the kernel and it still worked. Then I isntalled the turbo4 and it no longer works... bummer. I'm figuring that the JIT is worth more to me than the nfl mobile app so I am going to leave it alone. I did find during this process that my phone seems quite a bit faster without a2sd. I have the original sd card which I'm sure makes a difference, but I think I would have to stockpile apps before a2sd would be faster than internal memory even with a faster card.

I have a tick next to 'Mobile network' in Settings, and the Network Operator is set to 02, which is auto.
I'm sure it worked the other day when I fiddled, but I might have switched something off by mistake.
When I try to launch the Internet app, I get an error that asks me to sort my mobile web settings, which takes me back to the Settings I have mentioned above.
Facebook app will not work over mobile data on my GS3. It works fine over WiFi, but on mobile data its slow. I flashed the 4.1.2 leak i wonder if that has anything to do with it.

For example when I am on the mobile internet network, de standard Internet browser does not work. It just displays a white page whatever I'm trying to load.Other programs say there is no internet connection avaible or just don't respond.
However there are 2 programs that d� work. Opera Mini and eBuddy can work with Wi-Fi and 3G. Other Apps like to check if it's gonna rain, or a News RSS viewer etcetera does not work.They only do with Wi-Fi.I have no clue what to search for and also no idea if it's my mobile phone or my provider(it's named 'Hi', it's dutch).
I have been having some trouble getting my mobile network sharing to work. I have my mobile network on and its connected to my computer and i have htc sync installed and it starts to connect. It load the adapter to my comp but i get this error code 67 thing and it says that my PCS vision user name or password may be incorrect.

Does location history works without internet access? Will it store the location and sync when theres internet access or flat out don't work at all?
I recently bought a Telstra HTC Wildfire and unlocked it by code to use my 3 SIM card on it. However, after unlocking my mobile, when I choose the option "use phone for data connection when wi-fi is unavailable" it doesn't work. When i go to mobile network and network operators, I select to search for networks and the phone is automatically connected to "3Telstra(3G)". They also show 3(3G) and 3 networks, but when I try to select any of them, it says that the SIM card does not allow the connection to this network. I don't know if one thing is connected to the other, but I always used my old phone for data connection with the same SIM card.

The only thing showed is the contact name and his phone number.
With all the sms apps I've tried (stock, hangouts, hello sms, 8sms, evolvesms, chomp, handcent), I didn't find a way to display this information. I always have to do an extra action (clik on contact photo, or title bar) to check if the phone number concerned is 'work' or 'mobile'.
Any tip or a new app to show this info ?
I am using ICS Evervolv a5 on my N1. The mobile data connection works only if I don't connect to a WiFi network. If I do, the only way I have found to make it work again is to reboot the phone.
This means that while I am at home, everything works through WiFi, however, if I leave home, I have to reboot my phone once I am sure the phone is far enough from my WiFi access point to be able to connect. Then, it starts working with the cellular data plan
The only thing I can relate to this is that I have the "application protection" app installed, protecting the settings menu do with a code so my kids don't mess up with that. However, is still hard to believe that's the culprit.
My status on Google Talk never changes despite the fact that I have the settings checked in settings to "go to away when I turn off the screen" as well as "show mobile indicator to friends". This wasn't functional in 1.5, 2.1v1 and now 2.1v3 on my Eris. Has anyone had success? I've seen this function work on a TMobile rooted G1 but that's it.
I can watch the indicator change on the web when I change it manually (signed in as another user), and its very responsive. However, no auto-away when i lock the phone, and no indication that I'm on a mobile phone.
I've recently updated my Samsung Galaxy S4 to android 4.4.2 kitkat. Since then I've been unable to connect to the internet through mobile data. It can be activated/deactivated, but when activated I cannot connect to any websites.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI have an AT&T Captivate and it has been working fine until yesterday. All of a sudden I can't connect to the internet and no 3G icon. I have restarted the phone, pulled the battery,put my sim card in my brothers captivate and it works fine on his. After the phone restarts the 3G icon will appear for maybe 1 minute and I connect for that short time then it disappears and no more 3G. If I switch to wifi I can connect just fine.
