On a few apps I have downloaded I am unable to actually open the app. The app does not show up in my apps list and when I open it in the marketplace it says it's installed but the "open" button is grayed out. Anyone know if I'm doing something wrong or if it's an app error? This has only happened on about 4 apps I've downloaded. The most recent one is BatterLife.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have exchange set up on my Droid through the email program that comes with the phone.. Its been working fine until this weekend, really. 3 separate times, it's failed to load my inbox or sync new messages, and it pops up with the unable to open connection to server message.Ive quadruple checked all of my settings, removed my account, re-added my account, refreshed it, and still, it wont sync my inbox and it still shows that message. I even tried installing touchdown, and touchdown wouldnt sync my email either? I didnt like how it kept my contacts all separate from my gmail contacts, so I went ahead and uninstalled it. I REALLY just want to use the regular exchange email program..But get this, I am able to sync my sent mail though, and Im able to SEND email messages, just not receive them.
We have our own exchange server for our company, and we have 4 other people in our office running exchange on their phones, (2 Motorola Droids, 1 Droid X, and an HTC 6800...) Nobody else is having issues with their phones syncing their email so I know this isnt an exchange issue, but a phone issue instead.Ive run an update (just the *228) on my phone, reset it like 3 times, killed all the apps, and it still wont sync my inbox (just my sent mail..) And again, it'll send email but wont receive it.I know calling or going into a verizon store will be a waste of time.
When i open my application manager, it forces closes.

View 4 Replies View Related"Unable to open connection to server." That's the message I'm getting from my Droid every time I try to set up a connection to my web hosts SMTP server using IMAP. The settings I put in the Droid work fine on my laptop and on my blackberry.
I've tries using ports 25, 1025, 465 and 587. I even tried 143 and 585. Anyone have any clue why this is happening? Anyone else having trouble with SMTP/IMAP connections to their email server? Right now I can't send emails from the Droid and that's a HUGE problem.
Brand new moment as of today, and when I tried to get HTC theme. My brother has it on his droid, but when I open it it says launch error, I also wanted different weather app. Got same error message.
View 2 Replies View Relatedwhen i try and download odin downloader it is saved and when i go to open it it says that "windows can not open this file" then it gives 2 options of use web service to find correct program and select a program from a list of installed programs. The file is downloaded as a .rar file if it matters. This also happens when i try to download the newest kernel.

Re signed into my google account.Went to market, went to my downloads, saw large list of my apps that should have been downloaded. Went to bed. Woke up this morning, and none of my apps are on my home button.Went back to market, has about 2/3 of my apps saying 'starting download', another 1/3 saying 'installing'.But this has been 8 hours and nothing is actually installed. If I go to an app that says starting download, I can cancel it, then hit install button, and it installs. But I don't want to do this for like 30 apps if I don't have to.Also have tried a reboot, but so far, nothing better.I am connected to home wifi, so good speed. Before I got replacement phone I wiped my bad phone to see if it would help, and apps came back within an hour.

I have moved those files to my computer and put the bugless beast nandroid files in their place. The problem is when I go to Droidroothelper and select reboot/recovery my phone reboots and the /! comes up on my screen and a line on the bottom says E: can't open /cache/recovery/command......
any tips I dont know what to do to load the nandroid backup of the bugless beast.

File management and, file transfer applications to wireless link to my laptop followed by the transfer of all my work presentations (powerpoint) and lecture notes. All worked fine until today. Now, my device seems to have lost all the downloaded and installed apps (leaving gaps on the desktop). It has also discarded the image I had chosen for my screen background, and I can't see an icon to go to the Android store. Finally: on one of the screens I have the message "Problem loading widget". That might be connected to the problem that Android Market has completely disappeared. How do I get that back!! It's important. My transferred files are still sitting in folders in DCIM so that's good. but none of the special applications are visible. Can someone give an opinion on this. Has something taken place online with Samsung that has put my system back to its out-of-box state.

No matter what I do I am unable to open a file, either in my app's data directory or on the sdcard and also in a folder on the sdcard. To test I placed a test.txt file in all three directories.When I do listfiles, I get the correct list of files set in an array. I've even tried getting the list and filtering out a specific file and try opening it that way and just trying the first item in the array. Is there some security that may be set that is making it so I cant open files? This is not the emulator, it is on a device.

But my phone is slow and lags when i try to go home, it sticks between screens and i have to swipe the phone to get it to go to a screen. I am using Open Home when this happens.
