Sep 21, 2010Im having problems loading up my downloaded apps. I keep getting an error message.
View 3 RepliesIm having problems loading up my downloaded apps. I keep getting an error message.
View 3 RepliesI've been getting an error message all day. everytime I try to go into the market to update apps I get the message "A server error has occurred. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen." I can hit retry 42 million times and it will not connect.
I've rebooted, pulled the battery, cleared the cache, I even tried uninstalling the market updates; figuring that it would connect and I could re-update, but nothing has worked.
I uploaded the new updates to the application in the market. There was no error message shown. It seemed that the uploading was successful. However, the version name and the app itself were still the old version. FYI: lost the original private key or the keystore file. I generated a new keystore file to sign the app. I also met the minSDK problem and solved it by set the minSDKversion in the manifest file. There must be a way to update the app. I don't want to upload the app as an new application since there is a large base of existing customers.
When you guys buy Droid X on july 15th what first apps you planning to download/install from android market

He gave me the .apk installer file. Now that I have the Weather channel app that I didnt get from the store, therefore not in "My Downloads" section of the market, how do I update it?There must be a simple fix, but i could seem to track it down on the forums.
View 6 Replies View RelatedDoes anyone know if there's a way to retrieve a list of apps currently installed on the phone?Perhaps through an Android service, or system content provider? And once this list is retrieved, is there a way to filter down the list to only apps that have been downloaded via the market? I suppose another way to phrase that last question is:Can my app access the Downloads list that's in the Android Market app?

View 1 Replies View RelatedEDIT: I only watch in HQ. but that shouldn't be an issue with 3G speeds.
I'm on Verizon 3G with 700-900kb DL with the most recent version of the "official" Youtube app and the video will take 30 seconds to load, play for 30 seconds, load for 30 seconds, and play 30 seconds and on and on...
I even pause the video for 2 minutes and when I press play it still only plays like 30-60 seconds and stops to load.
I can play flash videos and they will only load once and play right through to the end but with this app it seems like they are purposely loading the videos in 30 second increments to discourage watching videos on 3G.
Is everyone else having this issue? Is there a better youtube app in the market?
I was wondering if 2.1 still had the following bugs/problems that myself, and a lot of people seem to encounter with 1.5, or if it's phone specific not OS specific.
1. Problems receiving picture messages. Specifically receiving a message saying "Message not downloaded. Retransmission scheduled for XX:XX", even if you click "Download" button multiple times.
2. When receiving a text message longer than 160 characters, you get a message saying "The preceding messages modified. Media objects removed." and the sender gets a message saying that you do not support enhanced messaging service, even though you DO actually receive the entire message. I know the Incredible doesn't have this problem, but the Eris does.
Is anyone else having problems with the Market after installing or updating an app? Twice now it has FCed after I updated an app. And worse, the second time, when I went back to the Market to review my downloaded apps, it only lists Gmail and Photobucket. None of the other 15 or so apps I've downloaded are listed!
View 4 Replies View RelatedToday i have been having some fun today downloading and yes buying (!) apps from the mkt. well, i started getting a little instability - i couldn't get an IP from my wireless router --- i had d/l "wifi keep alive" and "wifi reconnect" and "wifi reassociation". so i went to the mkt intending to uninstall one by one until i restored my ability to DHCP to the router. selecting the "downloads" section of the mkt revealed only about two pages worth of apps. believe me - i have a LOT more apps than that! mostly all the apps that appear are purchased apps (one exception - gmail is there too) - but even then, not "all" of my purchased apps are there! in doing my due dilligence checking to see if anyone else had this problem and solved it, i found this thread and this thread - neither of which have anything to say to help me. ANY idea how to get my apps to show up in the mkt? the apps themselves ARE STILL ON MY hero, they just don't appear in the mkt)

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am running a droid x currently unrooted (but have been rooted since 2.1).
I have rooted every install of 2.2 except for my current one (for testing purposes).
The problem is that every two or so weeks ever since installing the 2.2 OTA I have to do a factory reset in order for my 3G internet to work on the phone.
Let me explain the symptoms. Randomly the phone will refuse to finish loading webpages or market items over 3G. Sometimes after waiting a real long time or clicking a lot it will load the pages... but sometimes it will not. The internet still functions fine on the phone over wifi connection, and here's the real surprise: I can tether my laptop via both wireless tether and barnacle I get full speed on the computer even though on the phone it won't load. It always ends up taking a factory reset before it will work again.
I have 3G and my signal bars are fine.
I have been trying to figure this out for weeks. Here are the things I've tried so far:
-Cycle phone off and on multiple times.
-Cycle wifi and airplane mode multiple times.
-Multiple battery pulls.
-Clear cache and force close every application and service known to man.
-Uninstall various applications to see if they are causing problems.
-Remove SU privileges from different/all root apps.
-Try different browsers.
-*228 both options 1 and 2
-Repair privileges.
I have done a facory reset with froyo 4 times now. Each time within 2-12 days the problem returns and I can't fix it without a reset. The last three times I've reset I have gone through the whole process skipping every option to install accounts etc. as recommended to many guides.
I just tried this, Optimize Phone Performance (Launcher Tips) - CyanogenMod Forum - Page 2 And I renamed the Launcher and CorpCal...can I also do it to other system services...such as Messaging since I use Handcent?
View 13 Replies View RelatedWith the following error message I keep recieving when loading up Andrioi Market, this has only just started as I was using it over an hour ago and it was working fine
'Attention, A network error has occured. Retry, or cancel and return to the previous screen'
I have cleared the cache and uninstalled market updates and I am currently on 2.1v of android market.
Got my warranty replacement droid yesterday. Re signed into my google account.Went to market, went to my downloads, saw large list of my apps that should have been downloaded. Went to bed. Woke up this morning, and none of my apps are on my home button.Went back to market, has about 2/3 of my apps saying 'starting download', another 1/3 saying 'installing'.But this has been 8 hours and nothing is actually installed. If I go to an app that says starting download, I can cancel it, then hit install button, and it installs. But I don't want to do this for like 30 apps if I don't have to.Also have tried a reboot, but so far, nothing better.I am connected to home wifi, so good speed. Before I got replacement phone I wiped my bad phone to see if it would help, and apps came back within an hour.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a 2 minute 720P video taken with the droidx that i am trying to upload to my youtube account. The video is 140mb in size. i get the following message when I try to upload the video to youtube via the share option in Gallery "You can not upload a video larger than 1GB".
I get this message if I'm connected to wifi or not. The video is only 140mb in size!
Any one else getting this message?
I was getting this message prior to upgrading to 2.2 and was hoping that the 2.2 would fix it, but it didn't.
Fortunately, my phone is not bricked. I unrooted it by using the one-click app, downloaded and tried to install froyo but received an unkind error message. The Update failed to Install. I'm assuming I need to flash the phone back to factory? How do I go about doing this?
View 19 Replies View RelatedOK, I've been on the leaked version 2.3.9 pretty much since it was available and didn't upgrade to the OTA. Recently, I decided to deactivate my Facebook account since I don't really use it anymore. I have always had it listed in my accounts with Google and Twitter, and now I want it removed. Every time I try to remove it from my accounts on my phone, I get an error message. Any ideas why it's getting an error and what I can do to fix it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an Android library that uploads data to a test server and production server. I'd like developers using this library to use the test server when developing, and production server when the app is downloaded from Android Market.
Is this possible for an app to tell where it came from (Market or non-Market?) I would imagine one could detect the presence of the signed JAR file.
My phone was working fine and I had downloaded numerous apps with no problems. All of a sudden, when I tried to download apps, they would just be stuck, saying "downloading..." for days.
When searching for a fix for this problem, I was told to clear the Google Apps Cache & login again to clear the problem. I did this and it did not fix the problem. It actually wouldn't let me connect to the market apps at all anymore. So, I searched for a solution to this new problem. The best option was to do a factory reset...which i did.
After the reset, I could not get the market apps to download. Every time I click install on an app, I get the Download Unsuccessful error...please try again. I searched solutions and tried to set up a new google account per those solutions. This still did not fix the problem. I still cannot download anything.
Now I have a reset phone, with no apps! Very frustrating. It seems like I lost all of my data and made it worse.
just got my phone the other day and I love it. I need help though. How can I install a Win 7 theme that I downloaded from the Market. I looked in settings, but don't see it.
View 7 Replies View RelatedAnyone lately get the Google talk authentication error notification repeatedly and find that they can no longer download apps from the Android market? Mine is going on the third day now and endless Google searches reveal that this problem has affected various Android devices worldwide, including the Incredible that just came out. I've tried all kind of suggestions but none work and there doesn't seem to be any official response from Google on the matter. I wonder if it is a hardware problem since these forums are not buzzing on these issues at all. In my case the phone worked perfectly for 2 days after activating and knowing how high the demand has been surely more people would be experiencing the same issues were it a device or cloud software problem. If anyone else has the same problems please post here.
