there's a way to get the screen to automatically switch to home when the phone gets locked via time out or pressing the power button? Running ZenEXP/LP+/geekfor.me vanilla lockscreen.

View 6 Replies View RelatedFresh 1.1 lock screen is clear. I personally do not like that, BUT when I try to load another one via Pre-kitchen, it loads, reboots, and its still the same. I click to clear cached lock screen, reboots, still the same. Anyone know why it won't change? the boot screen changed first try, so that is good, just that damn lock screen. I don't like the clear thingy.

If I go into the messaging app, it works as it should (replies to the same number).

Why is it doing this and is there something in settings that will prevent it from deleting emails from my phone? View 4 Replies View RelatedI have it set up update hourly, and it will show it to be sunny, even until 8PM sometimes 9PM.It's not exactly sunny at that time of day, I'd more expect to see the moon by that time of evening.Is this just weird, or is it just using the "official" sunset time of 8 something and calling it sunny until then? But it has shown me that I am not nearly as tech savy as I liked to think I was. I am a little overwhelmed with this phone.
I've switched from the iPhone to the Hero a week ago. I really like the Hero, even though some functions are better on the iphone (like the musci player).
There is one Issue however, which is really bugging me with the HTC, which might make me switch back to the iPHone if I can't find a solution.
Problem:
When I call with my headset (Not the original ones, I don't have huge ear holes....) I can't "switch off" the screen and put the phone in my pocket and call while walking... This sucks, as I have to hold the phone in my hands, which kind of kills the idea of having a headset.
When I go to portrait to landscape it will stay on portrait then after I mean like 20 mins or so when I go to use it, it will go to landscape and portrait. Then after another while it will stay on portrait and not go to landscape. I've tried everything and tried to find a solution for this but don't seem to find one. I just got the phone on saturday and been playing with for awhile to get the feel of it.

I heard that the Droid used to do this, and then some update messed it up, but then saw it going into landscape mode on the video they posted today of the Droid running 2.1.

I was on my main Home screen and just trying to figure stuff out and when I long press the menu key it brings up the onscreen keyboard. I figured it was for contact search or something, but it did nothing when I typed...or so I thought. Now everytime I back out to the Home screen a little transparent "window" displays with letters i first typed. I cant type new letters to display or even use the backspace key to erase. When I use LauncherPro my home screen (and other screens) are not set up the way I currently have them. I spent a lot of time setting my current screens so they are exactly the way I want them. Any way to save that config when switching to LauncherPro? It does seem faster so I want to give it a shot, but I'm dreadig setting everything up again- widgets, apps, etc.
