I search an app or a MOD that automatically turn 3g off when I lock the phone. It shouldn't turn off the hole internet. It shoul switch from 3g to 2g when I lock my phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been having this issue for a while. I was actually hoping that this morning's OTA update would fix the issue, however it did not. I do not know if it is just me or if this is a known issue. Sometimes (about 25% of the time) when I turn on my phone one of the apps on my home screen will automatically start. It is usually my calender app or Documents to Go, but it is always an app on my home screen. Anyone else have this issue or know of a fix for it?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI ALWAYS have my carrier 3g network and blu-tooth turned off at all times using the power control widget that came with my HTC Desire. but when i turn on my phone, my carrier network and blu-tooth are turnred on, and my mail and some other things get refreshed, using up data.
Is there a good widget or app that permanently stops the network and blu-tooth from turning on unless i do it manually? i cant find one on the market! i only set my refreshes of my mail to just once a day, and is there a way to set these refreshes to none a day, just manually?
My x10 is having me problems it used to turn off it self automatically and very hard to on.

One thing I would like to try and do for him is set up something that will turn the tablet off automatically after the car is turned off. The tablet will be permanently connected to the 12V cigarette lighter socket via car charger. I currently use Tasker to automate many things on my phone and the tablet, and any experience in using it to turn a device off say 10 minutes after the charging source is removed (car turned off).
I just switched from WebOS so I'm quite a noob to Android. Anyways, I bought a new Samsung Galaxy Nexus with Android 4.4.
Now to my issue: I like to watch video streams. The problem is, that the display will turn automatically off.
Solutions:
1. Play a stream with a video player - how can I do this?
2. Change settings so the display will not switch off on a stream, but will turn off when idle - is this even possible?
3. Turn off "turn off display when idle" setting - but I don't like this one.

I was trying out the Pattern Lock feature on my HTC Incredible S and got locked out after too many incorrect attempts. I can't use my email address and password to verify my account as my data and wifi are switched off.
To get around this problem, I've transferred to my microSD card the XtraSec apk that will allow me to remotely switch on wifi and data. However, I'm not sure how to trigger the installation of the apk when I can't get past the lock screen .Can I use fastboot to access the file explorer app (ES file explorer) or apk installer app to get the apk to install?
I haven't rooted the phone and it's running the latest version of Android. I'm not sure if I have USB debugging enabled. I'd like to avoid doing a reset if possible coz I haven't backed up the things that aren't on the sd card.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an android phone (Moto Droid Mini XT1030, though i wouldn't think it should matter) and i want the pictures i take with it to automatically be sent to a folder on my PC everytime i am connected to a wifi network. Currently they automatically go to Google+ which is of debatable value. Sometimes Google products are fantastic and other times they seem to be missing such blatantly obvious features that it makes me crazy... but i digress.
I don't want to install any 3rd party apps if at all possible, especially on the PC. I already have G Drive installed on the PC and a drive folder would be sufficient (as opposed to a conventional folder on the PC) if that's easier to accomplish.
I was thinking if i could have an app wherein i can set a particular date and time and at that set moment my phone automatically calls the number that i set. Also if possible the call should be disconnected as soon as the call is received at the other end.
I tried to search a little if such apps were existing i found an app called "Wakeup call alarm" which is not existing any more.one application of such an app is to call my landline number in the morning so that i get up from bed at least pretty lazy to wake up from bed in mornings.
I used the one click method for my Nexus s 4G... does that method unlock the bootloader also or is there a separate step?

First I thought that the gallery app got some problemes, rebooted my phone, still the same. Looked up the folders with Solid Explorer, well ... all files got definitely deleted.
I searched for this here on xda and google. Well, all I found out was that it could be ROM related, or that it could have something to do with RomManager (haven't installed it though). The curious thing is that the *.jpg and *.mp4 files got deleted from all folders and subfolders, not only from DCIM and even from the sd card.I'm not here for any recovery attempts, have done this already
Well this is not all. I've got some *.avi files on my phone (internal and external storage). Theses files were deleted too. BUT not at the same day as the other media files (*.jpg and *.mp4).
So this is the pre story. Now I wanted to know what can I do to discover what is causing this problem, because what's next? Is my phone deleting all my files in a few days?For me it seems like a script that is searching the whole device for media files and deleting them. I haven't isntalled any apps or updates the last two weeks so I think there are no problems with apps and therefore will not list them. phone is deleting media files two days ago it deleted *jpg and *.mp4 files from internal and external storage and from all folders (not only DCIM) today it deleted *.avi files from internal and external storage could it be a malicious script that is crawling my phone for those files?
