I thought I could go the the main youtube.com website and play videos? Don't we have flash lite on the hero? Does anyone get videos to play or are we only limited to the youtube app?

I did a search and did not come up with too much. But I was wondering if you can set up " watch in high quality " as the default setting when watching youtube videos? Had the Hero for over a week and mine is not laggy at all "swipies"and still loving it. Loads great no major issues at this time.Except always mis-spell words.

I'm at my local Sprint store fondling the new EVO and contemplating when I get an upgrade and maybe I should get one or should I wait or.Anyway, the phone was fully functional and on 3G, so I thought I would check out YouTube. I brought it up and searched out a video I had watched before and cued it up. When it played, and for whatever reason, it had super resolution and looked great, but it would not play more than a few seconds without stopping then starting, stopping and starting again, etc. I thought this was pretty weird, so holding the EVO in my other hand, I pulled out my Hero and cued up the same exact YouTube video. When the vid played on the Hero the video guality and resolution were not as good as the EVO's, but it played perfectly and seamlessly all the way through, no starting and stopping at all.

View 49 Replies View RelatedI've had this problem ever since installed then uninstalled avast and the antitheft bit that sometimes youtube won't play videos.The app shows the videos available and I can search but when you click to play all you get is the spinning circle.
It doesn't happen often and a restart of phone always fixed it before but now that's not working.Cleared cache etc but nothings working. What can cause this and how to sort it?
Its a stock rooted gb rom and only happened when avasts hidden app didn't uninstall after getting superuser rights and I had to freeze the hidden app then uninstall it with titanium backup. It did say (avast) something about doing something to nand.
I'm using the moment with offical 2.1 release. I have it rooted with joey v7 and with live wallpapers.
I cannot play youtube videos on the sprint network or on wifi. Everytime without fail I get a message saying "cannot play at this time"
why can't i use the HTC flash player to watch youtube video? when i click on the video link in m.youtube.com and chooses HTC Flash player as player. it just shows the youtube logo then the screen is blank. do you guys experienc the same?

The examples that I found are about streaming 3gp video format and I don't want those because they are choppy and seem pixelated. how to develop an app similar to the one as YouTube app? I just got the gsm hero. on a site that has embedded you tube videos, how do I play them in the you tube app? otherwise, it plays the video in the htc flash player and the video is jumpy and bad looking. BTW, menu>more>watch in HQ only shows up if your watching videos in the you tube app, it doesn't show up in the htc flash player.

so I have all of my .mp3's on my PC by artist, then subfolders, albums. I have retagged them all. I have a total of 15 artists, 26 albums, 340 songs. I dragged and dropped the folders over to the SD card under "Music". I then fire up the music player and my "Now Playing" screen, at the very top, under "Now Playing" it's only showing 1/100. I can scroll through the albums, but it's not listing all of them. How do I get all albums to show on the now playing screen? Or is it even possible? This is driving me nutz!
View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded a movie via a torrent then converted it to MP4 format via Videora. The transfer from my computer to the HTC Hero looked good. However, when i go to "music" on my phone, I don't see the movie there. I only see audio files. Is there something I'm doing wrong? As a side note, when i check the properties of this video on my PC, it says Opens with: "Unknown Application." Could this be the problem?

When I do the email thing that facebook offers, it replies that they do not support that kind of file, and if I try to upload them or send them as messages, it tell me that files are too large. I used to have a Touch pro and I was able to upload and send video files to others.

View 6 Replies View RelatedWhen I receive a voice mail, it shows up in the visual voice mail application like it always does. Everything is normal EXCEPT ... When I play the voice mail I hear nothing. The time bar moves as it is playing, but nothing can be heard. This has been happening for the past 3 days. I then have to access my VMs through the traditional "Dial #1" portal. I love visual VM though, and would like to fix this. Does anyone know what the problem might be and/or have had this problem before?

I have installed Meridian for playing my mp4 video files. I have started converting my avi's to mp4. I was testing some of the first ones and Meridian. I like this player but I have a question about its use. How do you stop a movie that is playing? It is easy to pause a movie but I don't know how to stop it other than using a task manager and killing it.
