Don't know if any of u have noticed this or if I'm just super late but I just recently went into the YouTube app and was actually able to stream videos. I'd say out of 10 times the vid streamed 9. Though IM still having difficulty streaming in high quality.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had 2.0d on my hero for a couple of weeks now. I'm totally happy with it...
except a few days ago people kept telling me they can't hear me or that im "really faint"..
Anyone experience this? I wanna rule out the ROM before I call sprint or blame hardware...
Didn't wanna hijack the other thread, so I wanted to share some pics of the Innocase II that I received today. I used there products for my Curve (made it too bulky) and the 3GS (perfect case it was). Buying this case was a no brainer IMO since those silicon cases collect tons of dust. Best Buy gave a free OEM Hero skin and WOW it is a dust collector. This Innocase gives the device a better grip and makes it a touch thicker, which IMO makes the phone a better handheld device to hold. Also covers up the blah grey color. As you can see from the pics, the slider case is a great fit and gives a nice "lay on the table" design, which I love. Not much more to add, but for anyone looking for a case, this has to be the best case made for the Hero.

View 2 Replies View RelatedFor those that suffer from poor battery life or high awake times, I was given a code to enter that will give you all kinds of hidden info about the battery and what programs are running in the background keeping the phone from sleeping. Hit phone, as if you were dialing a number to call, enter *#*#4636#*#*, then talk. You will seee a menu come up that you can change to show you all kinds of hidden info on the phone and battery. Hope this helps some of you that are suffering poor battery performance and high awake times.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI moved from the iphone to the hero and so far things have been great. Now to my question. On my iphone I had jailbroke it and was able to get an app to fool the phone into thinking it was on wifi when using the network data. This resulted in high quality youtube playback like when in wifi at home. Is there an app or a way to get the same thing on the android OS? Been looking around and have yet to find something. On another note. I have two gmail accounts set up on my hero and only get the proper push with one of them. Is this common?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm heading to Halifax, Nova Scotia for a week and will be bringing my Hero with me. I'll be calling Sprint customer support to see what options are available for voice and data, but I trust the advice of folks in this forum.
Is there any international voice and data plan that i can sign up for so that I don't end up paying sky-high roaming rates? I really don't want to have to keep my phone in airplane mode the whole week. Any advice from travelers to the "Great White North" would really be appreciated, eh?
Is there something I'm missing? Is there a way to set YouTube to always show videos in high quality without me always having to hit menu, show in high quality for each and every video I want to view?

View 18 Replies View RelatedWhy youtube looks terrible on the G1. To be honest, I can't even use it at all. Is there a way to watch it in "high quality" like on real youtube. I absolutely hate to say it, but it looks a lot better on the iphone.
View 7 Replies View RelatedFrom our android app I launch Youtube app with the proper video id. This works well across all devices. On Nexus One the youtube app defaults to using low quality video. I have added &fmt=18 in the url (for eg: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsjadfLYnD4&feature=youtube_gdata&fmt=18 , see this blog for details http://blog.jimmyr.com/High_Quality_on_Youtube_11_2008.php) which should have forced a high quality video but doesn't.Anyone know a work around for this ? The screen resolution on nexus is really beautiful it saddens me that I can't make use of this to play hq videos.

View 2 Replies View RelatedOkay, so when I use the you tube app on just about every other phone, there is sometimes a button at the corner of a video to let me upgrade to the high quality version of the vid. This does not happen when I use the app on the X10. Do I just need to do an upgrade, or is this some bizare thing that the x10 just doesn't do?
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis just started happening recently: ill be watching videos in high quality, then all of a sudden ill click to watch another video and go through the menu to set it to high quality and only get home page and settings (high quality is supposed to be the third option).
I have connection, etc but the option just decides not to show up and the only way I got it back the last few times its done it is by turning the phone off/on. Anybody else run into this or am I missing something?
I did a search and did not come up with too much. But I was wondering if you can set up " watch in high quality " as the default setting when watching youtube videos? Had the Hero for over a week and mine is not laggy at all "swipies"and still loving it. Loads great no major issues at this time.Except always mis-spell words.

View 7 Replies View Relatedi was just curious if anyone out there has removed the apk for YouTube on Fresh 1.1? i've heard that removing apk's can sometimes bring unwanted results anyhow, i removed it cuz i never use it - and it has to be manipulated to work anyhow...i end up just using the browser.
View 3 Replies View RelatedSo here is the story. I'm at my local Sprint store fondling the new EVO and contemplating when I get an upgrade and maybe I should get one or should I wait or.Anyway, the phone was fully functional and on 3G, so I thought I would check out YouTube. I brought it up and searched out a video I had watched before and cued it up. When it played, and for whatever reason, it had super resolution and looked great, but it would not play more than a few seconds without stopping then starting, stopping and starting again, etc. I thought this was pretty weird, so holding the EVO in my other hand, I pulled out my Hero and cued up the same exact YouTube video. When the vid played on the Hero the video guality and resolution were not as good as the EVO's, but it played perfectly and seamlessly all the way through, no starting and stopping at all.
View 10 Replies View RelatedAnyone else find the play back have awful quality? especially for a higher end phone like this one. View 49 Replies View RelatedPretty pissed off by the youtube app in X10.
Sound is always late by about 0.3s.
Its a real turn off to see the mouth move first, then hear the sound.
Is there any other apps which I can watch youtube in high quality, without facing this sound problem?
Or is there another better apps out there?
