I have yet to be able to play any youtube videos on my phone, whether it be from the youtube widget, a browser window, or a facebook link. It just goes to loading video, and it never loads. Has anyone else had this problem?? I have tried it both with and without using wifi.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI figure maybe it's a Flash problem, but I can't seem to play ANY YouTube videos on my Eris. The error I always get is something about the video not being found. This is a new Eris, got it about 2 weeks ago so I am assuming it's got the most current ROM. Does anyone know how I can get YouTube to work while on the cellular network and not WiFi?

BTW, menu>more>watch in HQ only shows up if your watching videos in the you tube app, it doesn't show up in the htc flash player.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI was trying to find a video on YouTube on my Droid that I could easily find on my computer, but I could not get the video to come up in the YouTube search using my Droid. I tried this in the YouTube app and the browser, but I got the same results. For this particular search, my Droid came up with 4 results, and my computer 20 results. I've also done google searches for particular videos, only to get a "video not compatible with YouTube mobile" (or something like that). Are these 2 issues related? Is my search on my Droid only finding mobile-compatible videos?
View 3 Replies View RelatedEver since updating to Froyo, my DX won't play any Youtube videos, it just says "Sorry this video cannot be played" and below that, "There was an error trying to play video". Is anyone else having this issue, or does anyone know how to fix it?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm looking for a free app to allow me to play videos in the background. I tried 'Pvstar' but had a glitch with it where it stopped working.
I'm using a HTC one, so there are no issues with processing power.
I have the Droid by Motorola from Verizon. I'm trying to use a youtube downloader to download youtube videos to my laptop and then convert them to AVI files and drag and drop them to my SD card so that I can view them on my Droid. The problem is the files either don't show up on the card when I attempt to play them on the device if they are in AVI format or if I choose not to change the format only the audio is played by the phone so I can't see any video. Any suggestions? I know this is a possibility because a coworker has done this on a BB Tour. I had him Bluetooth transfer some files and those show and play but the ones I'm attempting to tranfer by dragging and dropping the the files aren't working.
View 10 Replies View RelatedGreetings from a former BB user and a Droid user all of one week Until updating my OS to 2.2 I've been unable to view Youtube videos via the web or via the native app. Again, started immediately after the update. known or isolated issue? Any suggestions on a fix?
View 1 Replies View RelatedFor instance: when I click on a video on cnn.com, the phone goes through the motions of downloading it and then I get a message: This content cannot play on this device.
When I go to the YouTube app and click on any video displayed, the message is Cannot play video. Sorry, this video cannot be played. The videos that I took with my phone and are stored on my SD are playing OK.
It seems, almost every video I want to see is unable to play with the youtube app. I'm not really a big youtuber as it is, but why have a youtube app on the phone if it can't play 99% of the videos? Although the browser works better, I do get the same result for some videos using the browser too. Is this part of the limitations with having Android 1.5 or what?
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I have had my Droid Eris for about a week now. The other day I decided to play around on YouTube to see what it was like. Here is the thing though, I have literally found like 1 video that will play. Most of the time I get "This video can not be played". Anyone know why this is?

Had the Hero for over a week and mine is not laggy at all "swipies"and still loving it. Loads great no major issues at this time.Except always mis-spell words.

View 2 Replies View RelatedWhy does my app say this video can not be played? Whats the point of having the app?
View 7 Replies View RelatedSo here is the story. I'm at my local Sprint store fondling the new EVO and contemplating when I get an upgrade and maybe I should get one or should I wait or.Anyway, the phone was fully functional and on 3G, so I thought I would check out YouTube. I brought it up and searched out a video I had watched before and cued it up. When it played, and for whatever reason, it had super resolution and looked great, but it would not play more than a few seconds without stopping then starting, stopping and starting again, etc. I thought this was pretty weird, so holding the EVO in my other hand, I pulled out my Hero and cued up the same exact YouTube video. When the vid played on the Hero the video guality and resolution were not as good as the EVO's, but it played perfectly and seamlessly all the way through, no starting and stopping at all.
View 10 Replies View RelatedOur Android app loads RSS feeds for news and blog sites and displays the stories in a webview.Whenever a story has a YouTube video, the video doesn't show up and it doesn't play (the object is there, but it's just whitespace & nothing happens when you tap it)Surely, since Google owns both Android and YouTube there's simple way to allow YouTube videos to play in a webview within Android Apps? (They work great in our iPhone app).
