This morning my alarm went off like every morning, got up picked the phone up and hit dismissed. The alarm screen went a way but the sound did not. I pushed every button possible. I could not get it to stop and i could not turn the phone off. Finally I had no other option but to pull the battery. Any one else experience this with the new 2.1 update??

Can it be dimmed? and how reliable is the alarm function? Also can you turn the phone volume off so alerts and phone calls dont ring while still leaving the alarm volume active?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI never had this problem until upgrading to 2.1. I have my clock process excluded in my task manager, I check the volume level every night through Audio Manager and even in the clock app - and it is not going off. I set alarms for everything, so this is very frustrating.
I can set a test alarm for two minutes from now and it will go off with no issues at full volume. But if I leave it alone for awhile, the alarm won't go off. I think the most reasonable thing to assume here is that it has something to do with the clock not updating until you turn the phone on. I don't know what to do.
This problem happens everytime I have an alarm go off and someone has sent me a text message that has popped up. The only way to stop it is to turn the phone off. Anyone have any fixes for this? Or is it just a bug I have to deal with.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI read that the flip clock is a battery drainer, so I figured I'd switch it out. I like the HTC weather, but I sorta want a digital clock.
HTC's alarm settings etc. are great, I'd like to keep those setting as the clocks that are on the market I'm guessing won't have as many features if they're free.
But can I swap my HTC clock widget yet still have HTC run my alarm? I'm not really sure if I can do this or not, but I didn't want to download/install a clock over the stock one and need to get it back, so I was wondering if anyone had done this before.
I like to power the phone down completely at night. Problem is the alarm will not work unless in standby mode, and I use my phone as my alarm.

View 5 Replies View RelatedBeen trying hard since sunday to figure out how to add custom alarms to the alarm clock. I just miss alot of my alarms and want to be able to continue to use them on the Hero. so far everything I have tried does not work. I even created a "Media" folder with 3 sub folders "Alarms", "notifications", "Ringtones" even by placing them in these folders still nothing. I have been able to use the media player to add my music as a ringtone, however the music I have placed in the ringtone folder does not show up either in my phone.

View 13 Replies View RelatedI've noticed after I have rooted and installed the newest Fresh rom I have problems getting my alarm to shut off in the morning. It's not a huge problem, just an annoyance. I have not installed vanilla lock screen, I did search the forums which states if you use that you have to use vanilla clock. I literally have to shut off the alarm every morning by shutting down the phone. Sometimes I do get lucky and it shuts off (after about 1-2 minutes) and then I have to disable the alarm and re-enable it or it will snooze.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI guess I'm one of the lucky ones that can get mms on my hero but when i download the incoming mms it shows up once then after i close it i can not view or find the picture again. Ive mounted the phone and looked in the download folder of sd card but nothing is there, and its certainly not in any of my albums. Is this yet another bug int he Hero's mms handling? a side question is there a way to adjust the snooze time on the built in alarm clock?

View 3 Replies View Related1st time poster long time lurker. I have done a search on Google trying to find a solution or at least a reason as to why my phone is behaving this way. Search produces nothing. This week my phone started behaving strange. I will get a call, but the caller ID no longer displays. Suddenly the screen starts to flash and I have to unlock the screen in order to see who is calling. By the time the screen is unlocked the person has already hung up. I have not done anything (add new programs) in the last 2 weeks and I am not sure why this is happening.

Is their a way to extract the .apk of the lock screen from the droid, and just install it on the hero, I understand that the resolution on the hero is different, but hate the current lock screen, i have to slide it down 2-3 times for it to recognize. I downloaded lock 2.0 already on the market, its not bad. but it takes 3-4 seconds on my phone to actually give me the slide to unlock screen.

But I am still a little new at this and am confused as to how to just put the vanilla lock screen on. The Phone is rooted and running DC 2.08
Here's an interesting thing that just occurred for me. I used kitchen to push the stock android keyboard to my phone and removed the LWPs so when I went to reboot my phone it locked up at the boot screen where the little android emblem is hanging off the HERO while waving it's hand. I'm running Fresh 2.0d just in case that matters at all.

View 11 Replies View RelatedThis morning my alarm started unexpectedly at 6am. The lock screen turned into the snooze/stop screen. Dragging down didn't stop it it.. It came on every ten minutes for the next hour. My alarms were set to 9:45am and 8:30pm as usual. Even turning the phone off and on didn't stop the beeping. It was my 9:45am ringtone even. (The two are set differently)

I tried several alarm clocks on my droid, and they all seem to have a problem. if I set alarms for 6:30, 6:41, and 6:52 am. Each with a different sound. If i snooze alarm 1, alarm 2/3 never goes off. i thought all 3 would be seperate, but it seems only 1 can be active at a time. unless im doing something wrong. this happens on the default alarm clock and, better alarm clock.
