Sprint HTC Hero :: Way To Set Alarm Sound?
Apr 23, 2010Is there a way to set say a ring tone or song clip as the sound that goes off for your alarm or is it just the basic 5 or 6 options that you can only choose from?

Mar 3, 2010My alarm was working fine now the notification is no longer sounding. All other sounds, sms gmail email etc are ok. If you try and change the sound to a stock sound they don't sound either (so I don't think its to do with the SD card). Any ideas?

Jun 4, 2010For the past two days my alarm goes off, the phone vibrates, but there's no sound it's only the noise of the vibrate that wakes me up.This is a recent thing, I've checked the volume is up, I don't have a taskiller installed, I've set and reset the alarm sound to go off, but even when I go into settings to change the sound, if I select a new sound it doesn't ring out. However, if I go to change my ringtone, that does make a sound. I've turned the phone on and off, I've deleted and set new alarms to no avail.I just don't get it... can anyone help? Software version is 1.0.0.A6288, firmware 1.5 if that helps. Installed new OS about a month ago.

May 27, 2010I never had this problem until upgrading to 2.1. I have my clock process excluded in my task manager, I check the volume level every night through Audio Manager and even in the clock app - and it is not going off. I set alarms for everything, so this is very frustrating.
I can set a test alarm for two minutes from now and it will go off with no issues at full volume. But if I leave it alone for awhile, the alarm won't go off. I think the most reasonable thing to assume here is that it has something to do with the clock not updating until you turn the phone on. I don't know what to do.
Sprint HTC Hero :: Alarm Screen Went Away
May 20, 2010This morning my alarm went off like every morning, got up picked the phone up and hit dismissed. The alarm screen went a way but the sound did not. I pushed every button possible. I could not get it to stop and i could not turn the phone off. Finally I had no other option but to pull the battery. Any one else experience this with the new 2.1 update??

Jul 2, 2010This problem happens everytime I have an alarm go off and someone has sent me a text message that has popped up. The only way to stop it is to turn the phone off. Anyone have any fixes for this? Or is it just a bug I have to deal with.

Jan 17, 2010I read that the flip clock is a battery drainer, so I figured I'd switch it out. I like the HTC weather, but I sorta want a digital clock.
HTC's alarm settings etc. are great, I'd like to keep those setting as the clocks that are on the market I'm guessing won't have as many features if they're free.
But can I swap my HTC clock widget yet still have HTC run my alarm? I'm not really sure if I can do this or not, but I didn't want to download/install a clock over the stock one and need to get it back, so I was wondering if anyone had done this before.

Oct 13, 2009Been trying hard since sunday to figure out how to add custom alarms to the alarm clock. I just miss alot of my alarms and want to be able to continue to use them on the Hero. so far everything I have tried does not work. I even created a "Media" folder with 3 sub folders "Alarms", "notifications", "Ringtones" even by placing them in these folders still nothing. I have been able to use the media player to add my music as a ringtone, however the music I have placed in the ringtone folder does not show up either in my phone.

Aug 4, 2010I've noticed after I have rooted and installed the newest Fresh rom I have problems getting my alarm to shut off in the morning. It's not a huge problem, just an annoyance. I have not installed vanilla lock screen, I did search the forums which states if you use that you have to use vanilla clock. I literally have to shut off the alarm every morning by shutting down the phone. Sometimes I do get lucky and it shuts off (after about 1-2 minutes) and then I have to disable the alarm and re-enable it or it will snooze.

Apr 21, 2010I guess I'm one of the lucky ones that can get mms on my hero but when i download the incoming mms it shows up once then after i close it i can not view or find the picture again. Ive mounted the phone and looked in the download folder of sd card but nothing is there, and its certainly not in any of my albums. Oct 28, 2009this is mu 2nd hero phone and both will now not allow sound to come through headphone. At 1st the sound comes through great then np sound at all through headphones.
Today at lunch, I am walking outside aneto into 7-11 andfeel my phon3 vibrare and then no sound throuth the headphones. It's like the headphones are muted. When headphones are plugged in there is no symbol showing heaephones are plugged in.

Jun 5, 2010went to a concert last night took vidoes and was trying to upload them to the comp, Its wont let me mail them and when i use my usb wire and drag and drop them the sound is gone.. I can play it on the phone just fine but even when i open the file from the phone via comp i have no sound, video plays just fine .. Can anyone help please
