Is there some download(s) for sound packs?I need some nicer and possibly more annoying sounds for notifications.Also, if i have 2 or more email accounts, can i specify a notification sound for each?

Right now my phone makes the same sound whether I get a email or a text message. Can I make one have a different sound than the other? If so please tell me in detail how. I only see one notification sound area.

Also, every time I receive and incoming text my phone also vibrates. I've looked under notifications and can't find any way to change this. I'm about to pay the restocking fee and get a new phone.

I keep reading that each app has a setting that allows one to select a unique sound, but I am not able to find this setting for the stock email app, or the voicemail app. The only options under email settings are:
Email notifications - ON or OFF
Notification sound - ON or OFF
Notification vibrate - ON or OFF
Under Voicemail settings, I see NO choices for notifications.
Just loaded Better Cut last night and can't download any of the icon packs.The download will start, go painfully slow then lock up at some point and never finish.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm pretty sure my Hero used to give me a beep when I got a new SMS, but it stopped at some point (a couple of weeks ago) and I haven't heard one since. I've tried re-setting the notification sound but it doesn't help.I'm getting other alerts (new mail, etc.) it's just SMS that doesn't play a sound. I've checked the volume level and it's set to the same as the phone ring level, which is fine. I'm wondering if I installed an app that killed it.

When my Hero receives a new email, the flashball notifices me about it, but the notification sound and vibrate do not work even though I have them both checked in the settings (the sound is also selected). However, when I receive a new sms message, all of them work perfectly.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI got my HTC Hero a couple of days ago and I can't help but getting a bit annoyed by the fact that whenever I receive a message my phone gives off the double vibrate buzz, followed by most often just a second of silence before the message sound 'pling' goes off. The pause between the vibration buzz seems a bit random and I have experienced it pausing for up to like 10 seconds before a sound plays. I cannot see that this is supposed to happen.What's wrong?My phone has build version 2.73.405.6 (which confuses me a bit since HTC webpages says that the newest build version is 2.73.405.5).

I have placed it on the sd card under Audio/Notifications and I can play the sound file OK but when i go to the settings of the sms app (Handcent SMS) and choose Notification Setting and then Select Ringtone, it does not display the sound file. I have stored on the card, just the built-in ones, How do I make the app use the stored sound file.

There was a setting on the Blackberry while sleeping, the phone would be the only thing to ring or make nose. Email notifications, etc., would be silent. Is there any quick setting or app to do this on Hero?

I think because its a HTC phone it is made with the black bar, but is their anyway to extract the APK from any other android phone if such a file exists and just install it on the Hero, I really prefer the white one.
View 3 Replies View Relatedthis is mu 2nd hero phone and both will now not allow sound to come through headphone. At 1st the sound comes through great then np sound at all through headphones.
Today at lunch, I am walking outside aneto into 7-11 andfeel my phon3 vibrare and then no sound throuth the headphones. It's like the headphones are muted. When headphones are plugged in there is no symbol showing heaephones are plugged in.
Is there a way to set say a ring tone or song clip as the sound that goes off for your alarm or is it just the basic 5 or 6 options that you can only choose from?

I can play it on the phone just fine but even when i open the file from the phone via comp i have no sound, video plays just fine .. Can anyone help please

HTC Hero - no sound or vibrate for text notifications I have had my Hero for about a week (first Droid!). I am no longer getting sound or vibrate text notifications. I get sound for email notifications, but no vibrate. The LED indicator is working fine. I don't really care about the email notifications, but I need the sound and vibrate for texts! I have checked the forums and found several threads where downloading Sound Manager resolved the issue. It didn't work for me. I have also checked Settings> Sound & Display > Notification Sound. There is a tone selected. I tried a battery pull as well.
