How is it that the iPhone always has an App for watching live golf tournaments? I know once we get Froyo this should not be an issue, but is it not possible to have an App for our Android phones?

Anybody watching anything? I see slingbox isn't supported yet and Hulu needs flash player. I haven't looked into orb yet.

Also, I plan on placing the eris on the cradle at my desk and having the live news play on it almost all day, will this hurt the phone's hardware because of such excessive use?

I also tried to watch highlights from a previous match and highlights from Rockness music festival but still no joy? Adobe does not support this was the warning i got but i thought the Desire supported this with its Adobe flash player? Very unhappy indeed as i wouldnt mind watching the world cup at work even if i shouldnt be ..

I decided that i would send this file to a friend, wanted to send it via text, couldn't figure it out, then tried to send it as an email couldn't figure that out either. There must be a way to do this, or maybe I need a app that I don't know about. Any help would be great, Thanks

I've tried from the email, saving to the phone and then trying to watch in a media viewer and I can hear everything fine but not see any video. Is there some setting I don't have set correctly or is this a flash issue that will hopefully be fixed with 10.1 later this year?
View 3 Replies View RelatedThe new Froyo update has changed the look of the screen when receiving a phone call. It now has their FB status scrolling across the bottom of their picture!! This is EXTREMELY annoying....is there a way to disable that? I just want their contact pic to show...but if I didn't want the pic to show, just their name and number, is there a way to do that??
Lastly, I have contacts that are linked with phone and Facebook...I have adjusted so the pic of the "phone" entry is what shows in "people" and in handcent...but when I receive a call, the FB pic is what shows..
How do I watch TV on my Incredible? Do I have to down load an app? My husband said he has seen alot of people at work watching tv on there phones.I really am only interested if I do not have to pay more in order to watch it.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSo I tried googling and poking through a ton of different forums (this one, nexusone forums, etc.) regarding formatting video to be used on the DInc. The general consensus was to use Handbrake with the iPhone settings to convert video. But that was taking forever. What is weird is that I bought the Sandisk 32GB card, and I put a number of copies of the new season of Dr Who on it (all avi's, unsure what codecs were used for it though). They're all smaller than the native resolution of the phone (something like 366xsomething). But neither Meridian nor DoubleTwist can play them. I wasn't sure if it was card related, so I moved the files off the card onto the phone (which took forever, btw) and it still would freeze up opening the video. So I'm guessing I'm still going to have to convert the files, which is fine - but does anyone know of software better than Meridian to do so?
It's funny, I watched the entirety of Clerks on my LG Voyager (after converting it to 3gp or whatever that weird format was), and doing that seemed simpler than watching videos on my DInc. As an aside, we were watching the iPhone4 vs EVO video on my fiance's MotoDroid, standing outside a VzW store talking it up with an old co-worker of mine from when I used to work there, and the video froze. She shut it off, then turned it back on, and it started power cycling (M loop, whatever you want to call it). I spent 3 hours digging through forums looking for a way to recover her phone without factory reset, couldn't get anything to work, so we factory reset and it continued to power cycle. Totally bricked. Anyone know if this is normal?
We already ordered a replacement phone for her, as it was stock to begin with. Just find it rather weird, especially since it had happened shortly after we installed the latest version of LauncherPro on her phone. I guess the inner-troubleshooter in me is determined to figure out the cause-- especially if LauncherPro and/or YouTube interacted funny, I thought it'd be a really useful thing to give to the developers.
So i have the Droid Incredible.I also have a 16gig class 6 MicroSDHC.I have movies at home. Avi's, mp4, mkv, etc.I created a "videos" folder on the root of my 16gig and place different types of video files there.I know the incredible can't view avi's, but it should be able to view MP4 as is, correct? Mine won't read them. I need to convert them with an app (forgot the name) and convert them to 3gp. They videos always end up so crappy and pixelated.

I am test driving a Captivate, in anticipation of the Epic, and the GPS is awful (as documented on this forum). The Epic GPS issue is causing me to look at the Evo instead. I use GPS while traveling all the time and is a must have. I figure if the Evo is accurate on the golf course it will be great on the road.

I'm looking for an app that will act as a scorecard and also be able to track stats such as fairways hit, greens in regulation, up & downs, sand saves, etc. Added bonus if it will calculate my handicap.
