Two or three days ago the "me" tab from the updates and events page of my Hero disappeared and I have not been able to put it back on. I dont know if I deleted it by mistake or what...Anyone has any idea on how to fix this?

From the People widget or "contacts" there is a tab that has Facebook "updates and events". While this is nice I would like to clear out the updates once I have seen them and can't for the life of me figure out how to do that. I don't use the auto update feature so when I press refresh I get everything which is fine but once I have seen them I would like to delete them off my Hero.

Sprint said itself that the Hero/Moment would be getting software updates. They didn't say 2.0, but HTC already said they're skipping 1.6 for 2.0. It would be suicide for Sprint to go to 1.6 when Verizon will have 2.0 in 3 days.
Yay Sprint! Now don't be too laggy in releasing this! My phone has SO many bugs it's not even funny!
I finally got rooted backed up and flashed now can someone please tell me how to turn off auto updates to ensure I can maintain my root status
View 2 Replies View Relatedhow many times do I have to do that little disable described in the 2.1 root thread? Do I do it every time I redo my OS or just the one time that I've rooted? When I did the input's in command prompt, I was in the actual OS and I didn't receive any errors, but it didn't confirm that I disabled them or anything.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI know there isn't a firmware update but for the past 2 days when I go in and check for Firmware updates it says "checking for Firmware update" then it just dissapears, it no longer comes back with "No update available". Anyone else having this problem? I powercycled and pulled the battery and it still does this. It also fails updating my profile and fails updating the PRL. All other data features work just fine.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I sync my Sprint HTC Hero with Windows Vista (using HTC Sync version 2.0.8), I get the following error message: "The application com.android.providers.calendar (process com.htc.calendar) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." I also get this message occasionally when I'm not syncing. It doesn't seem to prevent my Hero from syncing new calendar events, but the error message is annoying. Anyone have an idea why I'm getting it and what I can do about it?

Its cluttering my Programs page because there's double of like 25% of my apps. The only way I've been able to fix this is to uninstall and then install it again. Is there any way to fix this??

When I click on any of the top 3 update options (Firmware, Profile, or PRL) the option turns green while my finger is on it but doesn't respond. This happened in the weeks before the 2.1 update also, but I just stuck it out, and after the 2.1 update it worked again - until recently. Now no updates can be requested. No root. Any ideas?

View 3 Replies View Related1st time poster long time lurker. I have done a search on Google trying to find a solution or at least a reason as to why my phone is behaving this way. Search produces nothing. This week my phone started behaving strange. I will get a call, but the caller ID no longer displays. Suddenly the screen starts to flash and I have to unlock the screen in order to see who is calling. By the time the screen is unlocked the person has already hung up. I have not done anything (add new programs) in the last 2 weeks and I am not sure why this is happening.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI hate the lock screen on the Hero, I know their is a way to turn it off, but i don't like getting a message and then the phone doing something in my pocket. Is their a way to extract the .apk of the lock screen from the droid, and just install it on the hero, I understand that the resolution on the hero is different, but hate the current lock screen, i have to slide it down 2-3 times for it to recognize. I downloaded lock 2.0 already on the market, its not bad. but it takes 3-4 seconds on my phone to actually give me the slide to unlock screen.

Here's an interesting thing that just occurred for me. I used kitchen to push the stock android keyboard to my phone and removed the LWPs so when I went to reboot my phone it locked up at the boot screen where the little android emblem is hanging off the HERO while waving it's hand. I'm running Fresh 2.0d just in case that matters at all.

The only app that seems to keep the screen from going dim is Navigation. If I use an app like Google Maps it goes dim and then dark at the set time. I would like it to stay on specifically when it's got the charger hooked to it. It will only go dim with the charger on but I'd like it to stay bright. Or do I have to change my setting to "never turn off" everytime I want it to stay on?

I pushed every button possible. I could not get it to stop and i could not turn the phone off. Finally I had no other option but to pull the battery. View 2 Replies View RelatedLast night, played a couple of rounds on Wordfeud and I'm assuming the battery went dead. Now I'm stuck on HTC screen when I boot up. Won't even show CM6 loadup screen. I charged it for a couple minutes and even booted into recovery with no luck. Battery pull doesn't do it either. Have I bricked my phone? I'm not quite understanding why it's not loading up anything. BTW: During the recovery screen, it said I had the RA image there so I doubt it's not on my card to boot up as I know that if you don't have this then it won't boot up.
