Sprint HTC Hero :: Prevent Phone From Syncing New Calendar Events?
Dec 1, 2009When I sync my Sprint HTC Hero with Windows Vista (using HTC Sync version 2.0.8), I get the following error message: "The application com.android.providers.calendar (process com.htc.calendar) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." I also get this message occasionally when I'm not syncing. It doesn't seem to prevent my Hero from syncing new calendar events, but the error message is annoying. Anyone have an idea why I'm getting it and what I can do about it?

Feb 2, 2010Its my first ever Android phone, I own a HTC Hero. I have downloaded the latest HTC Sync and my phone has frimware version 1.5 and Kernal version 2.627-8dd6deee and build number 2.73.405.5 146733CL#61267
I managed to get everything set up how I want it but have a problem syncing the phones calendar with my MS Outlook 2007 calendar. Some of my seem to be missing on the Hero or in the wrong date to the Outlook calendar. The same happend with the contacts, but that fixed after snycing again. However, the calendar is still messed up!
General :: Events Created On Phone Will Not Display In Google Calendar Or Outlook?
Feb 14, 2012I want to create an event on my phone calendar and have that display in my Outlook calendar on my computer. What do I need to do to make that possible? Events created on my phone will not display in my Google calendar or my Outlook.
I have a Droid X2. I downloaded Google Calendar Sync to my computer which synced my Outlook with my Gmail calendar, and that displayed on my phone, but events created on the phone do not display in the Google calendar or Outlook.
I have gone to phone Settings > Accounts > checked Gmail to sync calendar. Google Calendar Sync on my computer is set for 2-way syncing and to do so every 15 minutes. The phone is rooted.

May 6, 2010I have multiple events (ie birthdays) as all day events. That means that these are set up in Outlook 2007 from 12am to 12pm on selected day. Recently, I went from Central to Eastern time zone. While there, I synced my phone with outlook using HTC Sync and now I have an additional occurrence of the event that goes from 11am to 11pm and spans into the previous day. I thought this would fix itself once the phone was back in the right time zone and was resynced, but it doesn't.

May 3, 2010I have recently gone up from Fresh 1.1 to Fresh 2.0d. Everything is working great, but for some reason Exchange items are not showing up in the calendar. The exchange calendar is selected in the calendar selection option. Items added to the phone calendar as exchange items are synced to my Outlook/Exchange calendar, so there is some communication going on. However, my calendar stubbornly refuses to display the Exchange items.
Anyone know why this might be? I can't figure it out...

Nov 9, 2009I just picked up the Droid and I've been messing with the Calendar and I found out that you can sync your Outlook calendar to your Gmail Calendar, which will sync to the Droid. So, when I installed the Google Calendar Sync app, it synced my Calendar items fine, but when those same items get synced to the phone, something gets screwy and it adds some of my repeating items every day of the month. I think I've narrowed it down to the Calendar items that Recur every xth (15th, 30th, etc) of every month. I don't find that option in the Android's calendar, so is it possible that this option does not exist? Anyone else have this issue?

He's tried syncing with htc sync 3 on his laptop but this has put all his events on his phone one hour later than they should be. Also we have tried to clear the calendar data using settings>applications>calendar>clear data but its not deleting all the events .

Aug 23, 2010I have unchecked the box for calendar sync for facebook, which it does remove the syncing of the events, but not of peoples birthdays! this is so annoying as i dont want to be reminded of peoples birthdays!

HTC Incredible :: Calendar Syncing With Microsoft Outlook 2010
Nov 5, 2010Has anyone had any issues syncing 2010 microsoft outlook calendars on their droid incredible? When I first set it up it was super easy and had no issues (i was on 2007). Then my work computer got upgraded to 2010 and it worked for a bit and now the calendar won't sync correctly. Contacts and emails have no issues. I get an error message on my calendar though and only certain appointments sync. I tried to delete the account and reset it but each time I did that it double up appointments in my work computer outlook and still didn't get all appointments on my phone. Now I am afraid to try that again since it is a pain to delete all the duplicates.

Just having some issues with syncing my outlook contacts and calendar appointments.
I googled it and followed these instructions: HTC Desire - Using HTC Sync
I used the HTC Sync installer that�s in the supplied microSD card to install but that didn't work so I have downloaded latest HTC Sync But when I get to the next step, "Setting up HTC Sync to recognize your phone" the instructions are:
First of all, step 1. seems pretty pointless coz you go to that part of the phone and don't make any changes. When I get to step 2 I can do what the instructions says but the phone doesn't attempt to find the HTC sync on my computer, it does nothing. I don't get a message saying its unable to find the computer, i can change the setting to HTC Sync and click done and thats all that happens.
Would love some help with this one, I've tried googling but can't find a difinitive answer to this issue.
Here are my details..
1.) Model Number: HTC Desire A8183
2.) Firmware Version: 2.1-update
3.) Baseband Version 32.30.00.28U_4.05.00.11

Motorola Droid :: Events Syncing From Google Calendar Without Reminder
Dec 14, 2009I just noticed that none of my events on my Droid have any reminders. They have reminders in Google Calendar online, and in Outlook (they are sync'd from Outlook to Google Calendar by the "Syncmycal" program.) So somewhere between Google Calendar and my Droid I'm loosing reminder settings. The events are all there in my calendar, but none of them has a reminder set.

I use calendar pro which I love. I don't know if there is a work around or I am just not knowledgable enough to understand it. A for instance would be that my work email gives me an event or invite...it will show up on the phones calendar but not on my google calendar/events. (my google notification each morning may say "no events scheduled for the day" but phone calendar/calendar pro will show it)

I was able to successfully turn of the Outlook mail notifications on my phone (and I still get Gmail notifications, since they are two separate email systems, which is exactly what I want). How do I turn my "Outlook calendar reminders," but still be reminded of my Google Calendar reminders, which is my personal, and far more important, calendar?

Aug 10, 2010I have two gmail accounts. My primary works find on my DX. I have shared my second calendar with my primary and my appointments for both show up fine online, and in my DX calendar list, it says my second calendar is on there, but nothing is showing up. I've tried adding new appointments both on device and computer, but they don't sync for that calendar.
Am I missing something? Or does anyone know of a calendar app that will sync with a second gmail calendar?

Apr 28, 2014I would like to get my calendar sync'd with my phone and am struggling.
I used the Kies sync, which then resulted in an outlook prompt to allow access. I clicked yes, and the sync in Kies seemed to have completed.
I then looked on the phone, and can't see calendar anywhere. I looked in apps, nothing. I looked in widgets and there was a full page calendar view widget. Added to a new home page and it just said "loading" forever.
I then installed "google calendar" which when I opens just immediately closes.
So I am not sure how to get a calendar on my Samsung G2, let alone to sync it to outlook.

Since I made the switch I have not been able to get my calendar (or anything for that matter) to sync. Google Sync is no longer an option. I am not too worried about contacts, as they have all been uploaded etc... how I can sync my calendar with google calendar, or with my phone calendar?

There does not seem to be any easy way to "Delete Old Events" like most phones have.It seems that ancient events continue to stay in memory unless you individually, one-by-one, go through and painstakingly delete each one.
