I have put a couple of movies on my sd card like the hang over and i have tryed multiple video players to try and play the movie the best luck i have had was with yxflash and all that did was bring the movie up and play sound with just a green screen. So is their any one that can help i need to put a couple on between now and my spring break.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI take videos on the HTC Hero, connect the phone to PC, then drag videos from phone to desktop. They come out as .3gp files.When I try to play them back, each program either crashes (Quicktime, VLC), or tells me that it cannot playback this type of codec (Windows Media Player).The videos playback fine on the phone, just not when I bring them over to my PC.I am running Android 2.1 and Vista. Any help is appreciated.

But anyway, I know this phone has flash support for the net and for apps etc, but is there a way to actually play flash movies on the HTC desire? I just received an MP4 video that plays really well on my Hero. But it is not visible in the photo gallery of my phone. It's grayed out. When I go into my SD card with a file manager and click on it the movie will play perfectly but it won't play though the photo gallery manager.My real issue is that I have to go into a file manager to find the file and play it instead of using a widget to call up a program that will play it. There is obviously something in the phone that can handle the MP4 format and I just need to know what program to use.

I use videora now but it doesn't have a hero setting and videos are too large for the hero screen and the sound lags. Does anyone know of a better converter or have all of the video specs so I can input them manually (i tried but it went over my head).

View 7 Replies View RelatedI finally changed the voicemail system on my Hero from Sprint's "visual voicemail" (which is misleading because it doesn't transcribe voicemails) to Google Voice. It's nice to see my transcribed voicemails now. However, when I actually want to hear them (if the transcription didn't work well), it only comes through the external speaker; the speaker on the back of the phone. I went into Google Voice settings and under "Voicemail Playback" I tried the only two options: "Play via Handset" and "Play via Speaker." Unfortunately, both play through the speaker phone speaker. How do I change it to the phone speaker? I also can't adjust the volume, so the whole world hears my voicemails through the external speaker.

I used handbrake to convert them from mkv. " The file type not found" would show up when I tried to play it. I'm trying to play videos from a site, its a MP4 and when I click on it loads but then I get an a message of "Cannot play video, Sorry, this video cannot be played." The video also gives me the option to play it as a WMV, when I download the WMV version it wont play. All it does is play the audio, the actual video won't play. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to download an app, if so what app?
