Im able to move files to my phone but when I go in there are two file..... videos and all videos. I just want. 1 file. Is there a way to better manage the files.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm new to all this jargon so please be kind! I want to be able to save pictures from the Internet on my phone when I am browsing the Internet on my phone. For example, say I am on a website and I see a picture I like how do I save it to my phone? You can't click save as anywhere, can you? Is what I'm wanting to do called taking a screenshot? Is that what's it's called on the ipod touch when you click the two buttons and it saves it? If so, I'll go to that thread. Oh, also, when would I use the footprint widget? Does that just save a bunch of pictures for easy viewing?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just joined the world of smart phones and I'm loving my HTC Hero and the Android platform but I'm not understanding all the contacts. I've never been one to keep a very neat & tidy Google contact book (though, I guess it's about time to start), so I'm noticing that now that I've synced my phone with my Google account, I have TONS upon TONS of contacts -- many of which I don't even want in my phone. Obviously, the phone has added my G mail contacts. So now, as I'm adding everyone's phone numbers (something I never kept in G mail), I'm added it to their Google Contacts listing. Is that the best way to do it? I've read a few posts about the topic and I see a lot from people who are previous smart phone users, but what about us newbies? So my question: Is there a way to make it so Google syncs everything *but* my Google Address Book, allowing me to only have my phone's contact list? What about hiding some contacts? If not, what are your suggestions for managing your Google contacts.

On all my old basic phones I could sort out my photo albums easily, placing family photos all together and nudies together as well. On this phone, all photos go in 1 of 2 places. If I take a pic with the camera, it goes in a camera folder. If I pull it off the web or save from a text, they go in a download folder. These seem to be my only options and my pics are a jumbled mess. I've read my book, played with my phone, been to multiple Sprint stores, and searched these forums to no avail. No one seems to know or care. Is there any way I can create new folders and move pics from one to the other?

How could one manage their folders and content in those folders to minimize usage on the SD card? Example: I have repeated sound effects that I have downloaded. If I go to assign a notification sound it shows three or four of the same sound. Also, repeated picture folders.

Is there anything in the marketplace that would work for me? I've read many bad reviews on Locale and don't want to risk it for $10. Not averse to paying for a good app that someone can vouch for!
I have put a couple of movies on my sd card like the hang over and i have tryed multiple video players to try and play the movie the best luck i have had was with yxflash and all that did was bring the movie up and play sound with just a green screen. So is their any one that can help i need to put a couple on between now and my spring break.

I use videora now but it doesn't have a hero setting and videos are too large for the hero screen and the sound lags. Does anyone know of a better converter or have all of the video specs so I can input them manually (i tried but it went over my head).

I went to download an attachment from an email, i selected "Save to SD card", the message popped up saying "Successfully Saved to SD Card". So I go to Quick Office and it says "No files were found on your SD Card" what's gone on here? I can see a picture I put on my SD card earlier on by going to "Albums" but i literally have no idea how to access other media I have stored on my SD card

ok, so last week, when i added a contact on my HERO it auto synced with my Google account and added that person to my list when I looked on my PC. Now it is adding them to the phone only and I can not find where the setting is to add them to my Gmail account,... any ideas anyone ?

I want to be able to plug my EVO into the TV and use all the features currently on the phone. Specifically web browsing. If this is not available can we blame it on a hardware limitation or software. Maybe it's something that will work with the Dock when it's released since it comes with an HDMI cable. I can't believe I can't find a straight answer considering Ive seen the question asked on other forums as well. If it works the way I would hope then it's an easy replacement for my jaloppy of a computer.

I looked up the instructions in Gmail Help and they refer to a picture section in Contacts. The problem is I do not see any reference to pictures in either new or existing contacts or edits.
