With in the last week or so my home button doesn't seem to want to work. It will work for a while, but out of the blue it stops. I have to turn my cell phone off, turn it back on and it starts to work again.
Until it stops working again.
Anyone having the same issue? Anyway to resolve it?

Currently using DamageControl 2.08 and Can't get Wireless tether to work. I tried a bunch of different versions under the Cupcake/Donut option cause some said it worked.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else having issues with Hotmail at the moment? I can't get my phone to sync with my hotmail account all of a sudden, and I have literally done nothing to it since I got hotmail emails this morning. I looked on my account on my laptop and had 4 messages from various times throughout the day, and refreshing the mail didn't fix anything. I sent myself a test email and didn't receive it, so I don't know what the deal is.
Anyway, I'm sure it'll fix itself, but if someone else is having this problem I'd love to know if you've been able to fix it or not.
Edit: Soft reset didn't work, haven't tried hard reset because I have no idea why it would work when Gmail is working fine, phone is not rooted
My phone was working just fine and randomly the lock button stopped working and the home button brings up the power screen!

- home button is not working
- call button is not working unless you're into the contacts application (doesn't work from home page)
- Astrid application has lost all of the TODO tasks.
- It doesn't asks for the unlock graphical code!
It lost all of its battery yesterday night while surfing on the browser. My phone is an HTC MAgic Vodafone, using Android 1.6 Any ideas on how should i proceed? I soft reset the phone already.
Is anyone else having problems with getting text right now?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone last night and was reinstalling all my apps and widgets. Before I went to bed, I clicked to download the HTC widgets battery, coin, and dice. I woke this morning to find 2 of them were stuck installing and one was downloading. I was able to cancel the downloading one and download and install it. The others are still stuck labeled 'installing' and I can't find any way to cancel or make them proceed. Any suggestions?

I am trying to root my Hero by following the guides that are provided in this forum. When I enter the following command I am getting an error.
C:android-sdk-windows ools>adb devices
'adb' is not a recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file
I am sure I am doing something wrong. Any suggestions would be helpful. I did download the .6 update and reverted back to the .5 version.
I'm able to bluetooth ringtones to my uncles HD2 but for some reason i cannot blue tooth ringtones to my moms palm pixi. does anyone know how i can do so please? it is very annoying and i messed wioth all my settings and her settings and still cant figure it out!!!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI had a problem with my old Vodafone Smart II phone Alcatel V860, and I put another original ROM on it. Everything was fine. I rooted also the phone, not a problem. But when I went into recovery mode I noticed something weird, only my volume keys up and down are functional to make selections in TCT recovery console, but not also the select button (the home button). This worked before! I also noticed much more options in the recovery console than before, but what good? I can't select options from the recovery menu whatever I do, just navigate through them.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWotcher all, I've had my HTC "Hero" (daft name) for about a week now and since the first few days after I'd installed a few apps, when I long-press the Home screen button, the list of last-run apps appears as expected, however the TouchFlo app (or the Home app if I'm experimenting with stock android) also appear in this list. The next time I use the Home button it gives me the choice of using Home or TouchFlo and setting one of them as the default. I hit the "use as default" button and hit TouchFlo and all is well again. However as soon as I use a long-press of the Home button again, the phone forgets the default setting and reverts to asking me which one of Home or TouchFlo I want to use as the default action for Home button presses.Does anyone know a fix for this? I've gone into App Manager and unset all the defaults, but that's had no effect. I am living with it by just not using the long-press of the Home key, as long as I avoid that the phone remembers to use TouchFlow as the default action for Home presses. I've also tried switching to using the stock Android Home app instead of HTC's but still get the phone forgetting the default when I use the long-press of Home.

So if I browse my settings, and go 4 screens in. I want the back button to bring me to screen 3 (like it used to), and not to the home screen.

I haven't had internet service for about 2 days now. When I first received the phone it wasn't working either, but I messed around with the APN and it worked! Now, it has stopped. View 5 Replies View RelatedI just got a Hero the other day, and so for I love it. The only thing I am having a problem with is the button pad. It is creaky, like if I press the menu button, and then press a button the the opposite side, say the back button, it creaks a tiny bit, like plastic on plastic. Sometimes it even clicks a little bit. Anyone elses like this? It doesnt really affect the operation as much as its an annoyance.
