I'm on yesterdays build and can not install anything from the market. i went back to an older build and still no luck. it downloads but when it goes to install i get the unsuccessful message. i have cleared data and rebooted many times

Some more information on this old topic:
Sometimes Market fails up install application updates. The download is successful, but the actual installation fails. There is probably something in the logcat, but it doesn't help users.
I just had this happen to me on my development phone (I use one to develop, and update another phone from a different account to verify the update).
After this failure, Market lists the application as not installed, although the existing version (if there was one) actually stays installed.
I was able to resolve the issue by uninstalling the application via Settings -> Applications, then re-installing through Market.
I have done the latest firmware update and for some reason I can not find the App called Calorie Counter. This was one of my favorite apps and now its like it never existed? Does anybody else not see calorie counter when they search for it? I don't understand how it could just not show up anymore in the market. If anyone has it, could they possibly back up the app to there SD card and send me the .apk file so I can install it? Would that work?
View 2 Replies View RelatedAs we all know, the Hero was released with a battery drainage issue. After successfully following the instructions on how to circumvent the issue,I kind of had a feeling like I should be careful on which apps to download so as to not undo the workaround. (It did eventually happen but I have had to factory reset my Hero only once since then.) That being said, is it now safe to download apps willie nillie?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI rooted my phone last night and was reinstalling all my apps and widgets. Before I went to bed, I clicked to download the HTC widgets battery, coin, and dice. I woke this morning to find 2 of them were stuck installing and one was downloading. I was able to cancel the downloading one and download and install it. The others are still stuck labeled 'installing' and I can't find any way to cancel or make them proceed. Any suggestions?
View 2 Replies View RelatedWith in the last week or so my home button doesn't seem to want to work. It will work for a while, but out of the blue it stops. I have to turn my cell phone off, turn it back on and it starts to work again.
Until it stops working again.
Anyone having the same issue? Anyway to resolve it?
Currently using DamageControl 2.08 and Can't get Wireless tether to work. I tried a bunch of different versions under the Cupcake/Donut option cause some said it worked.
View 3 Replies View RelatedIs anyone else having issues with Hotmail at the moment? I can't get my phone to sync with my hotmail account all of a sudden, and I have literally done nothing to it since I got hotmail emails this morning. I looked on my account on my laptop and had 4 messages from various times throughout the day, and refreshing the mail didn't fix anything. I sent myself a test email and didn't receive it, so I don't know what the deal is.
Anyway, I'm sure it'll fix itself, but if someone else is having this problem I'd love to know if you've been able to fix it or not.
Edit: Soft reset didn't work, haven't tried hard reset because I have no idea why it would work when Gmail is working fine, phone is not rooted
Let me start by saying I am new to this so there is probably a really easy fix...here it goes
I am trying to root my Hero by following the guides that are provided in this forum. When I enter the following command I am getting an error.

'adb' is not a recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file
I am sure I am doing something wrong. Any suggestions would be helpful. I did download the .6 update and reverted back to the .5 version.
I'm able to bluetooth ringtones to my uncles HD2 but for some reason i cannot blue tooth ringtones to my moms palm pixi. does anyone know how i can do so please? it is very annoying and i messed wioth all my settings and her settings and still cant figure it out!!!

Is their a way to extract the .apk of the lock screen from the droid, and just install it on the hero, I understand that the resolution on the hero is different, but hate the current lock screen, i have to slide it down 2-3 times for it to recognize. I downloaded lock 2.0 already on the market, its not bad. but it takes 3-4 seconds on my phone to actually give me the slide to unlock screen.

I'm trying to find FlightTrack and I'm told "There are no matches in Android Market for the search: flighttrack." When I go to the developer's site and scan the 2D barcode and follow the link I'm told "There are no matches in Android Market for the search: pname:com.mobiata.flighttrack"
The developer is talking to Google about it. In the meantime, can some of my fellow Hero owners who took the recent update see if they can see FlightTrack in the Market and report it here? Then I'll know that the problem is either limited to my phone or is a general one for Heros.
