Since the last update, in my people app, which lists all my contacts, anyone with a facebook profile shows up twice. There are two identical entries, one after another, listed throughout all my contacts.
This is a gigantic PITA since it's effectively added another %50 to my contacts, making it more difficult to scroll thorough and choose a contact.

I just noticed that for some reason, when I try to link some of my Facebook friends with their respective Contact under People, they do not appear in the list. I then go back to the FB app and I do see them in there.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am trying to backup my contacts so I can update to 2.1. Currently, the contacts on my phone are split between Phone (people who I call) and Google (people who I email). My google contacts are really messy and disorganized because it is every single person I email. Currently, I have my phone only showing the phone contacts I had synced from my computer. But in order to export the contacts now, it seems I have to export them all together. When I sync it back after I update, they will probably not be split between phone and google. Is there any way to show only contacts that have a number assoicated with them so my phonebook isn't that messy?

View 1 Replies View Relatedanyone experience this within the last hour or so?I noticed that i had to sign back into my account on "Social Networking" in settings, but nothing is syncing back up. they are all still sync'd (if you go into a contact on the computer, there is a "note" in the "notes" section showing the link), but nothing is showing up. I'm guessing eventually it will download everything again and I just need to give it time, and I'm also sure it's a Facebook issue thing, since they just updated and tweaked their UI, but i was curious if anyone else noticed this.

I am signed in to Facebook through "Facebook for HTC Sense" (when I click "Add Account" and choose "Facebook," it won't do anything) but when I go to a contact and try to link to a friend, there is no one on the list. I have tried logging out and back in, then restarting the phone, but that hasn't fixed the problem. Also, is anyone else having the keyboard refuse to work when trying to send a text?

View 14 Replies View RelatedI'm running 2.1 on my Sprint HTC Hero and I didn't have any problems syncing my contacts to their Facebook accounts.
My problem is, is that the phone took every friend off Facebook and put them in my contacts. How do I take that off. I don't need all 856 of my facebook friends in my phone. And to make it worse half of the numbers are like 1-800-Ask-Me.
I hate how my fb is linked to my phone. I dont like how I get all of my friends on fb as contacts. I dont need all that!! I went to people> menu> and then unselected facebook and stuff on there. So in my contact list, my fb friends contacts dont show.. GREAT!
But if I go to home screen and press phone. and if I scroll all the way to the bottom, the fb friends are all still there... How do I delete them? I long press and there is no delete contact option. I deleted all data on my phone of any fb stuff. What else can i do?
Im not sure what i did to cause this, but after syncing my phone today, I got my facebook friends' phone numbers added to my contacts. I went into the settings to delete the FB account on my phone, yet the people are still there. at first I thought it was kinda cool to have them all there, but its really a PITA. anyone know how to get rid of them from my contacts?

1) why can't I link my contacts with facebook? I'm not talking about syncing them I'm talking about linking them so that their profile pics come up on under "people" on my phone, every other ROM I've used does this just fine but Zen does not for some reason.
2) Do I need an app from the market to see how fast my processor is running? I've seen where some people have run into troubles of having their processor redlined all the time

So my profile pics aren't matching up to what my Facebook contacts have currently as their default pics. It was syncing them fine up until recently. Haven't don't anything different that I know of on my hero. My setting for sync are on for Facebook. I'm running 2.0d

Otherwise, the contact on my phone from Facebook may be, and in many cases is, missing lots of relevant information. For example, many people don't keep their full address, or their phone number, on Facebook. If this is so, then no phone number or address is stored on my phone for the many friends who got in my contact list via the Facebook Motoblur magic. I can update these manually, via the phone screen-keyboard, but I would like to use the much easier-to-access PC to gmail user interface. But alas, I cannot, as all of these Facebook contacts don't show up on the gmail list at all.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have to say that this default Application is truly simple and easy to deal with, and that makes it all the more significant in my view. However, I am running into an odd problem, and I would like to see if anyone has had the same experience, and/or could offer their assistance in this matter.
I have linked all of my contacts to their FB profiles, and all seems to work extremely well. However, for reasons beyond my understanding, when I attempt to click on the "Album" icon (To view the photographs of a FB Friend), this App. always makes me go through a "Force Close". This ONLY happens with ONE of my contacts though, as with every other contact I still retain the ability to view their FB Photo Albums. I was thinking that the one contact in question here, possibly has too many photographs for this App. to handle(?), but I can get it to work on a very rare occasion despite such.
I would really like to hear from folks in regard to this issue, because it's puzzling, and somewhat irritating.
I have rebooted, and I have also taken the particular FB profile off of my contact list, and then re-applied it (All to no avail).
Here is the error message:
I wiped my phone and this time decided not to integrate Facebook sync with my contacts. The whole dialer/contacts application runs so much more smoothly without Facebook sync installed. Anyone else experience this?

View 8 Replies View RelatedThis problem has been bothering me for a while. When I add a phone number with the name of my friend that is the same on my facebook, sometimes it just couldn't find the right one to link to?!
Also, the worst part is even I link it manually, I can't find the contact on the facebook for HTC?! However, I can find contact perfectly with the facebook app on the phone or on the computer. I just don't know why somehow my facebook contacts are missing while I try to link them. Anyone has the solution for this?

So here is my question, under Menu>Settings>Social Network> Facebook appears there. I have that set to update every 12 hours.
HOWEVER, my actual Facebook App is set to update every 2 hours.
So... does the settings under Menu>Settings>Social Network>Facebook control my facebook app or just the bookmark that comes pre-installed on the phone?
I am trying to save battery life, and I noticed that the settings under Menu>Settings>Social Network>Facebook were set to update every hour, but I had the settings under the downloaded app to update every two hours. My goal is to have only one facebook medium updating so I don't drain battery life!
My facebook app does not show updates on the home screen. When I have e mail or text messages I get a notification sound and a number over the box or up the top but I get nothing with the face book app.I have it set to refresh every 30 mins and notifications are switched on.Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?I am using version 1.3.2.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI just cleared all my browsing history, cache, form data and all that stuff. Then I went to my bookmarks, where I have the touch.facebook.com bookmarked. I type in my username and password and tap the "login" key. I see the green status bar at the bottom of the screen start to go, but the page just loops. It does not login. Just keeps refreshing... if that makes sense. What am I doing wrong ?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just installed fatal1ty's hero rom version 1.4 last night on my rogers magic(a version modified for 32a) and I have a couple questions about the different apps. First of all, is there any way to make it show only contacts with phone numbers? Every time I send a message with gmail, that email is automatically added to my contacts but I don't really want to see it there when I'm looking for phone contacts. It makes my list very long. I know I can do this with apps like aContacts but I want to use the HTC contacts app if possible. Second, I was playing some music and then my lock screen wallpaper suddenly decided to change to the album art. I assumed that it was supposed to do this but then after I stopped playing the music it stayed. I then changed the lock screen wallpaper but it did no good. Finally, how do I add words to my dictionary. The keyboard seems identical to the one that I had as a stock rogers magic except the "add word" button has disappeared.
