I just noticed that for some reason, when I try to link some of my Facebook friends with their respective Contact under People, they do not appear in the list. I then go back to the FB app and I do see them in there.

I have my fb account syncd to my htc hero, but when i add new friends and i go to link their numbers to their profile theiir profile doesnt come up and i've changed my default picture 3 times and it wont change on my phone.

View 4 Replies View RelatedSince the last update, in my people app, which lists all my contacts, anyone with a facebook profile shows up twice. There are two identical entries, one after another, listed throughout all my contacts.
This is a gigantic PITA since it's effectively added another %50 to my contacts, making it more difficult to scroll thorough and choose a contact.
My Outlook had 1 set of contacts, I manually put contacts into the Hero. Everything they synced, odd things could sometimes happen. The latest was about 45 minutes ago when Sync ate the picture of my wife. I decided that the problem HAD to be between Outlook and Hero's contacts. I had noticed during all of my other syncs that the Hero would overwrite the bad data in Outlook for me most times, so I made a very bold decision.I deleted all of my contact info from Outlook (I have now realized that "undo" does not work for this) I then plugged in my phone, and told it to sync, knowing that the Hero would put all of my contact info back in. Do you know what happens next? The HTC Sync manager ate all of my friends and family. Because I gave my wife my BB, I deleted all the contacts from it as well, so now, well, looks like i get to start a) attempting to remember everything, and b) entering it all again by hand.

Then, when I reply to the last person who texted me under that thread, it goes to the first person on the thread and not the person intended. Went to the Sprint store the first time this happened, they did a hard reset and that worked for a couple of days but having same problem again. Tried disabling my task manager but that didn't help this problem either. I downloaded Handcent and disabled Hero's text messaging but no luck with that. Please help....ready to throw this phone against the wall. Has anyone else had this problem? Anybody know how to fix this problem?

I have the Android Facebook-Connect library running in my emulator and I'm able to set my status with the Facebook API I have setup. However, I don't know where to go from there? Am I supposed to use the session key that this library allows me to get and make some Facebook API calls? I haven't found any code examples to even see what the proper syntax is. Am I better off using another library? I tried fbrocket with limited luck(I get a "server error 104 - Incorrect signature").

So here is my question, under Menu>Settings>Social Network> Facebook appears there. I have that set to update every 12 hours.
HOWEVER, my actual Facebook App is set to update every 2 hours.
So... does the settings under Menu>Settings>Social Network>Facebook control my facebook app or just the bookmark that comes pre-installed on the phone?
I am trying to save battery life, and I noticed that the settings under Menu>Settings>Social Network>Facebook were set to update every hour, but I had the settings under the downloaded app to update every two hours. My goal is to have only one facebook medium updating so I don't drain battery life!
I have an HTC Incredible and it worked fine, but I accidentally took facebook off the sync list, I put it back on and logged on. When I use the facebook app everything is fine, but the people apt thinks I have no facebook friends and so I can't sync any of them to my contact list!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm unable to tag friends while using the Facebook app for Android, whether it's in Check-Ins, statuses, comments, or any of that stuff.
When I try doing it by using the "+" icon, it says "Unable to load friends list" (something like that) and then when I try using the "@" symbol, nothing shows up. It used to work perfectly fine, even with this version of the app. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling... Wiping cache, and even different ROMs. Could this be a gingerbread bug? My facebook app does not show updates on the home screen. When I have e mail or text messages I get a notification sound and a number over the box or up the top but I get nothing with the face book app.I have it set to refresh every 30 mins and notifications are switched on.Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?I am using version 1.3.2.

I type in my username and password and tap the "login" key. I see the green status bar at the bottom of the screen start to go, but the page just loops. It does not login. It automatically synced all of my facebook friends that had there phone numbers on their profile. I dont want all of these people in my contacts. How should i go about doing this?
