I just got my Hero two days ago. I was told to make sure there were to firmware or PRL updates. The Firmware said it was up to date. I tried the PRL update this morning and it said it could not be done now to try later. If problem persists contact Sprint. Error code 1012. I am not sure what PRL even is and does this sound like a problem on Sprint's end or my phone? Sorry for the dumb question, I am new to all this technology.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am new too sprint today, my 3G symbol is on but my speeds are super slow (129KBs up 80down). Coming from verizon where speeds are 10 times faster. Does the symbol mean I am in 3G area like it does on other phones or do they not have a 1x symbol. Also keep getting error code 1012 when I update device config. Same with the update prl. I cant pay for 4g when I cant even get 2G.

If my phone rings, and I ignore or miss the call, the caller will hear a recorded voice say "The number or code you have entered is incorrect, please check the number or code and try again. Message 7, Switch .."
BUT, if the phone never rings (like it cannot connect b/c of no service or in data and call never comes thru) then the caller is forwarded to my voicemail, can leave a message, and it comes thru on visual voicemail.
I have uninstalled/reinstalled the voicemail app, no such luck. I think this may be a Sprint-side problem.
Just got my Hero last night from Best buy with that nice little coupon! Great device so far, except that I cant send SMS at all. I can receive them though. I tried sending with the built in app, as well as HandCent.
When sending with the built in app, I get this error:
Cause Code 97
Error Code 2
I have tried updating firmware, PRI and PRL. Also rebooted the phone. Nothing makes it work. Anyone have ideas what I can do to make this work?
i've tried out all the radios to test out which is the best for me..and i devided on the one that was based off the verizon radio..so i got an error message saying "You must be a Sprint Customer to use this feature" so i changed to the newest radio out 2.42.01.04.27 and i still get the same issue..what could it be?

What i mean is when i go to wipe it i get this message "Error : Run "wipe ext" via adb". I'm using Ra-heroc-v1.6.2. Anyone know what to do? View 3 Replies View RelatedI've had my Sprint Hero for around 4 months now, it is not rooted, running stock 1.5.I was trying to check the marketplace for any updates to my apps and it brought me to the set up google account screen.I've tried signing in and It tells me that there was an error on sign in and my SIM card might not be provisioned for data. Obviously as a Sprint customer I don't have a SIM card, is there anything I can do to get things working again?

I'm using the smaller version (day view I guess) of the HTC Calender Widget.Under the calender settings --> views, I have "Include Weather" checked and a city is also populated, but the weather is not showing.On the widget itself, the day is on the left hand side, then on the right it just reads "No Events Today or Tomorrow".Where is the darn weather?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently got a htc hero and I am very impressed with the phone and the os as a whole but I am having one small issue. I have a pair of bluetooth headphones and when I go to pair them I get an error that says "There was a problem connecting to NS-BTHDP." (ns-bthdp == headphone name). The weird thing is, the phone says its connect to phone audio, even though I never entered in the passcode. So I go and try to listen to music/podcasts and it plays through the speak phone.. but if I go to make a phone call it goes through the headset.I have no idea what the problem is, as these worked fine on my old gen2 ipod touch.Does the hero have limited bluetooth connectivity, or are the headphones not compatible? I would like to know more about the error, does android os have an error log that I can look at? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Convinced that this was another stupid FB error i went to surf the web only to say I was not connected to a network. I looked at the top of my phone and i had 3 bars but next to there bars there was no 1x or EV signal just the bars. View 3 Replies View RelatedSo, I've been having random problems with my phone for a few months now. Nothing debilitating, but enough to cause a hassle. I took it into sprint to see if I could get a refurb or something, and when the tech opened it up, she noticed the water damage indicator was red. Now, not only do I know for sure the phone has never faced water damage, but the sticker on the battery is still in tact. I am one of many who suffer from dust under the cover, so I know that if dust can leak in, moisture would seep in even easier. I looked on ebay to find stickers that I could just replace, but couldn't find anything with the same design/size. Regardless, the Sprint store said there was nothing they could do. Is it worth calling their CS? In all actuality, I'd love it if Sprint would just allow me to upgrade to the Evo with their discount, but i'm sure that's not likely.
