Ever since I purchased my hero, the stock mail wigdet has given me problems.
If I use the full screen widget on one of my screens, it will display message body for some emails, and not for others.

How do I get emails to display in html? My Pre displays all emails in html, my Sprint HTC Hero doesn't. It's hard to believe there isn't a solution for this?

I also thought that I read that you could do this using the stock messaging app, but haven't been able to figure out how to do it there either. Does anyone know how to do this, or have any suggestions on other apps that can.

I was able to use the Sense UI Email Widget.
I have sense installed CM6 and LP. I looked to recreate the Sense UI Email Widget, but couldn't find it. So I thought, ok I'll upgrade to LP+ and that will have the Email widget.
Nothing. I have searched the market for Email Widget as well, but don't find anything similar. So what are you, running LP or LP+ using for an Email Widget similar to the one in Sense UI.
Yes, I have the email "shortcut" or "icon" but I want the full 4x4 page widget like I used to have.
Anyone know what happened to the developers that made the best work out app called Body Fitness?? I've searched the web and everything and can't find a working link to get the app again. Lost it after 2.1 upgrade.

View 14 Replies View RelatedFirst of all, yes I've read everything on the other threads about cases. The only problem I've had with the Hero in six months is settling down on a case. I've done naked, eBay cheapies, Sprint silicones, Otterbox, and now the Sprint Body Glove. No Seidio though. I like the way it feels kind of like the silicones but stiff. Yes it's thicker too. I would just like some opinions from people who are using or have used this case. I don't think I'm taking up too much room here since so many have moved to the EVO forum.

I need to be able to send a message (such a whole email) to the tablet, and it must automatically display the message on the screen without any interaction with it.
So in the google voice app I've found you can copy the body of a text message easily by holding down on the message and select copy. But in the HTC messaging app I've not found a way. Am I missing something?

Every so often I will receive email on my Droid from a POP3 account where the subject line does not match the body of the e-mail. For example I will receive on my Droid an e-mail from Amazon confirming order shipment but the body of the e-mail will be an advertisement from Hertz, HP, etc. The Amazon e-mail body is not shown. If I look in Gmail online it is fine so this so this is only on the Droid.

I've noticed that duplicate emails are being sent to my recipients. Especially when I send a photfrom the camera by going "Share>Mail" it sends two emails to the recipient. I can't figure out why...Anyone?

At first, no matter how many times I refreshed, my new mails were not showing up. I tried deleting my email account from my phone and then adding it back. This fixed the problem for a day or two, but now I am having emails show up twice in the inbox, and my phone will update basically whenever it wants to. I only realized this, because every time I have checked my mail on my computer I have 5-10 emails more than are showing up on my phone. WTH?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI had my Hero set the way I wanted it for the past 5 months, long story short, I ended up resetting the phone and am now try to add my yahoo mail, gmail, and my Exchange mail. When I setup my Exchange mail, I add an icon to my home screen, works fine. Then I bring another mail icon and add it to the homescreen and setup my yahoo mail, all is good, and so forth for my gmail. The way I had it set up before, I could click each Icon and get my mail accordingly in each of the 3 (mail) icons. In fact, before, one of the icons was even labeled "yahoo". NOW when I try to set it up, it wants to give me the same email in all folders. I do not have anything set as my default.

If I delete them on my home computer they still show up on my hero (Same with my work computer, delete and stills hows on my hero). What settings do I need to flip so that if I delete the emails on one system they don't show up on any of the other systems. (same with showing read). Is it a matter of IMPA vs POP3? It gets annoying to have to delete 30+ emails every morning on my hero after I've read them on my PC.

Of course this happens when I'm away from home with no access to my gmail account other than my hero. When I go to my gmail webpage and settings on my hero, I noticed that there wasn't the option to manually fetch mail. Then I remembered that you had to change the gmail address to http instead of https due to some security issue they had. But when I try to do this via Dolphin on the hero, I can't seem to find a way to change the web address to http.
