So I have cyanogen on my desire s and I was wondering how I could change the shortcuts in the dropdown menu from the top of the screen. At the moment I have WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and a sound shortcut. I want to put a short cut to be able to turn my mobile data on and off quickly.

I just want to switch out one of the app shortcuts on my lock screen with a different app. I've seen apps that change the lock screen entirely, but I'm just wondering if there's a way to change which apps are there without changing it completely?

I'm writing program for Android (SDK 1.5). I would like to know how to add/register one of my program activities in "Home Screen -> Menu -> Add-> Shortcuts" (or on Hero "Home Screen -> Menu -> Add to Home-> Shortcut") so that user will be able to add it to his home screen. Is there an Intent Filter or any other way to achieve that?

Any app to single delete notifications from the drop down menu. I'm running Verizon HTC incredible, cyanogenmod 7.2 RC1. Since cyanogenmod 7.1, we have been able to swipe notifications left and right to delete them, but it doesnt really work very well.
I then went to a friends house who had an at @ t Motorola Atrix, with I think droid 2.3.4 on it. My friends drop down menu had a minus button on the right of the notification to delete it. That is exactly what I'm looking for. Any app or some way to set this in my (Rooted) phone?
I'm having some trouble with spinners. Basically I just want a drop down menu when touched, the undrop when touched again. The code seems to work halfway. I just don't get a drop down menu section.

In an application I have a Spinner that has tens of items.When the user taps on the spinner, a popup dialog appears that shows the list of possible selections. However, since there are (sorted) tens of items, I want the user to be able to use the fast-scroll thumb (like fastScrollEnabled attribute on ListView), similar to the one enabled in Contacts application.I tried to get the ListView that is used in that pop-up dialog, but I didn't find any methods to do that.

View 5 Replies View RelatedGot a HTC Droid Eris the other day and absolutely love it.However, when adding a new contact on the phone, the drop bown menu box only lists "Phone" and does NOT give a "Google" or "Exchange" option as is indicated on p. 72 of the pdf "User Guide for Droid HTC Eris" by Verizon. I have examined 3 others Droid Eris phones of friends/family, and on each of their phones when adding a new contact the drop down menu box does list the "Google" option in addition to the "Phone" option.The problem with not being able to select "Google" as the contact type is that the contact information does not "sync" with the Gmail "Contacts List" online.

If I save this folder and later I lost all shortcuts I can restore it.mI have this problem with the apps shortcuts in my phone home screen. When I install new app - shortcut doesn't appear on my homescreen. I remember long time ago (I think that was in ICS stock launcher) - shortcuts would appear. But not anymore.

I bit the bullet today and got a Fascinate. When I was playing around with the Captivate at the store I noticed the shortcuts when you pull down the notification bar, the ones at the store were silent, vib only, etc.
Now that I'm playing around with the Fascinate I find that its shorcuts are BT, WiFi, etc. Is there a way to change the shortcuts that are displayed when you pull down the notification bar? I can't seem to figure out how to do it.
At the top left, what are the little check marks on bar? Also on the power control widget what are the two icons next to bluetooth? Also is there a way to change website shortcuts on the homescreens icon?
