HTC Incredible :: Turn Off Weather Animations After Unlock?
May 30, 2010Is there anyway to turn these off? At first they was ok and neat, now there just getitng annoying and I'm getting tired of seeing after every single unlock.

Jun 19, 2010Is there anyway to turn off the HTC Sense Weather animations? I like the widget, but I don't need it to animate windshield wipers to let me know it's pouring outside. I can see and hear that for myself. The cloud effects also clash badly with my background.

May 8, 2010It's hard to say when this happened but I guess I noticed it after the OTA update (not saying that is the reason, just when I noticed it). The weather animations when you turn the screen back on seem different from before. The demo animations aren't the same either, lightning used to cause white flashes, cold used to gradually build up, rain effects lasted longer (I don't even remember fog).
Am I missing a setting change? Was it always this way and my memory just sucks (very possible)? Did it actually change?

Aug 20, 2010My wife really likes the weather animations with the stock Sense UI weather widget. However, she is running LP and cannot use that widget anymore. Does anyone know of a weather/clock widget that still gives you those animations that can be used with LP?
I have beautiful widgets currently, but it doesn't show the full screen animations like she likes (windshield wipers if it is raining, bright sunlight when sunny, etc.).

May 24, 2010Do you have settings were you can have the weather animations play longer in the back ground? Do you have other options when the weather animations play besides when you swipe the lock screen? I am new to the Android world but I love HTC weather animations.

Feb 17, 2014I don't want to use Sense as my launcher or keep the stock lockscreen either (I use Apex and Widgetlocker).
*I just want a simple app that commands the HTC sense full screen weather animations.
Teslacoil was able to do it with HTC Sense 3.0 on gingerbread 2.3.3 and 2.3.4, but won't work on ICS/JB/Kitkat.
And after downloading almost all of the other lockscreen replacements, none of them have this functionality either.
No I'm not interested in beautiful widgets, Fancy widgets, or HD widgets animations.
HTC Droid Eris :: Large Weather Channel Animations Disappeared
Sep 8, 2010I'm living in Austin, TX. New to Droid ownership. Just bought an ERIS. My favorite standard feature was the large, Weather Channel animations. However, the rest of the phone was faulty and I had to have it replaced with a "refurbished" phone. Now the large weather animations have disappeared. Puny, smaller animations remain.Does this have something to do with Google's preferences. Can I get the more robust animations back?

Sep 27, 2010I am on my 3rd android phone, and the first thing I do on everyone is turn off all screen animations.
You do this in Menu-Settings-Display- NO ANIMATIONS
Doing this makes opening and closing apps, flinging through screens and many other things much faster.
You'll loose the cool looking transition when coming in or out of an app. But this is well worth it, IMO.
It's all about performance

Jun 17, 2010Anyone using Genie.apk (News and Weather Widget)? I installed the widget for "Weather" and it has been working well, until yesterday. It just says "Sorry, unable to connect, Please try later." And there is a "Retry Now" Button. Pressing retry says "loading" but then returns the same message. I have deleted and reinstalled the widget with the same results. Hopefuly it is just a server issue, and will be fixed shortly.

Jun 13, 2010Why the weather is disappearing on the clock widget? Sometimes I have to sync it to come back on the home screen. When the weather disappears I still have a internet connection. I noticed it today that I was having this problem. I contacted Sprint just to get this notated on my account. I read this on the forum before but I can't find it. How can I stop this from happening?

Jun 30, 2010I just rooted my phone yesterday using the method suggested above (xml dev or something like that).. and noticed that my weather never showed up on my home screen. then, after work, i tried to get into my Assistant Free/PageOnce app, also Market & FB.. but says network's not available..
Did i do something wrong? is tethering required after rooting to maintain network access? my texts and calls come through ok. i honestly don't remember if i received my daily agenda via e-mail or not today.

Nov 18, 2009now, when you press a date on the calendar, instead of a list of times of the day to imput event, you see event (if one is scheduled), Add event at top, and a weather widget for the specified day at the bottom. seems to be a week's worth of forecasts.that's all i've found so far, not bad for an incremental update

May 28, 2010Is it just me or is anybody else having problems with the weather disappearing from their home screen? It started after I upgraded to 2.1. Underneath the clock it just goes blank and i have to go into weather and refresh for it to come back. Then a little while later it will be blank again.

Jun 8, 2010I have it set up update hourly, and it will show it to be sunny, even until 8PM sometimes 9PM.It's not exactly sunny at that time of day, I'd more expect to see the moon by that time of evening.Is this just weird, or is it just using the "official" sunset time of 8 something and calling it sunny until then? I'm a very new Hero user.I'm within my 30 days, and very tempted to take my Hero back and get a Evo, but, don't want to spend the extra $$ for the Evo, and don't need the extra monthly expense either!
