I flashed this at least 3x. I did a clean wipe and all that jazz.
- The market wont let me search
- A LOT of my roms dont seem to be compatible
- The htc battery widget doesnt work
- When i download a widget it doesnt show up in the list.
- The "download more htc widgets" button doesnt work
- Refuses to check for update

I'm wondering about the differences between the two, I know they are both stock-ish roms and everything I just don't feel like reading 1000 pages over the two at xda. The main things I'm wondering about where they differ are free internal memory right after flashing (I'm not interested in A2SD), and of course, speed/stability. I will be overclocking either one should I use them.

View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I installed DamageControl v2.08.1 on my cdma Hero the calendar and date are 24 hours off! Time is correct but it's the next day. When I did a back up of this install it even used the wrong date on the backup. I have a bunch of small issues that I think with patience I may be able to work around but this clock/date thing has me puzzled. Also has anyone figured out how to put a custom city in for the weather widget and not one of the ones listed but for example a small town (any town) some where in the USA? I could do this on my 1.5 but this weather widget acts like the clock and you can only use their listed cities.

And for the Root part I used Instant Root Acess which worked great! gained root access and downloaded a couple of rott access requiring apps to confirm.
Problem arose when I started using the market app ROM Manager. Firstly, when trying to flash the cusom recovery image, Pressing the appropriate menu button brought up a sub menu where i confirmed my phone type but then nothing, the app just stopped. I waited 30 secs or so, TasKilled it and tried again, same thing.............
I asked this in another thread and it got buried in other questions. Just want Google navigation really but assumed all this work on Roms was to utilize new Android source and not just uninstalling stock apps

When I say stable and functional I mean no phone app crashes on incoming calls and multimedia messaging works as well. View 9 Replies View RelatedNo matter what 2.1 rom I load, I can make/receive calls ok for a few minutes.... then suddenly I cannot hear anything - no matter if I am making the call, or receiving the call. Have to reboot in order to get it to work. AFter rebooting, same thing. Everything works for a few calls, then I cannot hear anything. Anyone else experiencing this? I tried loading the Fresh audio fix, but it did not fix.

1- I recently switched from a PC to a Mac. If I want to switch ROM's or go back to stock, can I do this on a mac? Or do I have to use a Windows pc?
2- I was interested in switching from Fresh 1.1 to Fresh 2.0c, but I'm a bit confused. Do I have to go back to stock, then root and flash 2.0c? Or can I flash it on top of 1.1?
I want to get rid of the roms but stay rooted how can i do that?

About two days ago the DamageControl2.0r ROM started giving me the WiFi issues, and where I am with no EVDO or even E network. I rely on the WiFi at work and home, and wherever else I may need it. So I attempted to flash back to Fresh2.0c using the wipe/reboot and all the normal steps. Well it kept booting back to the Damage Control ROM. Someone suggested I use Nanroid backup then tried reflashing the rom. Which ended up working. Well I then decided I wanted to try the New Kitchen, because I love tinkering with this stuff, and it wouldn't flash again. I had to use Nandroid backup to go back to Fresh2.0c and have it working properly. Is there something I could be missing completely?

Are certain radios only compatible with certain ROMs? If so, what do you do if you want to flash a new ROM afterwards? In the event a radio flash fails, can you attempt to flash a different one or is your phone pretty much bricked at that point?
I'll probably have more questions later, as the thought of bricking my new Hero is well, I'd really rather not have to go back to my old BlackBerry.
might be a dumb question, but I don't wanna do the fw update on my fresh 2.1.2 hero, if it's going to break root. I'm guessing not but want to be sure.
