Apr 12, 2010Has anyone tried to flash the weaponoid icon pack over this rom? I liked the little droid icons and the clear lockscreen.

Sprint HTC Hero :: Using Icon Pack With Rooted Phone
Jan 26, 2010On XDA developers they had a .zip with 2.1 icons, but if I try and flash the zip it crashes my phone. Am I uploading it incorrectly?

May 15, 2010I was using this guide here [Complete Guide] How To Flash A Custom ROM To Your Android Phone With ROM Manager + Full Backup & Restore | Android News, Reviews, Applications, Games, Phones, Devices, Tips, Hacks, Videos, Podcasts - Android Police. And for the Root part I used Instant Root Acess which worked great! gained root access and downloaded a couple of rott access requiring apps to confirm.
Problem arose when I started using the market app ROM Manager. Firstly, when trying to flash the cusom recovery image, Pressing the appropriate menu button brought up a sub menu where i confirmed my phone type but then nothing, the app just stopped. I waited 30 secs or so, TasKilled it and tried again, same thing.............

Jul 20, 2010I'm wondering about the differences between the two, I know they are both stock-ish roms and everything I just don't feel like reading 1000 pages over the two at xda. The main things I'm wondering about where they differ are free internal memory right after flashing (I'm not interested in A2SD), and of course, speed/stability. I will be overclocking either one should I use them.

- The market wont let me search
- A LOT of my roms dont seem to be compatible
- The htc battery widget doesnt work
- When i download a widget it doesnt show up in the list.
- The "download more htc widgets" button doesnt work
- Refuses to check for update

May 10, 2010When I installed DamageControl v2.08.1 on my cdma Hero the calendar and date are 24 hours off! Time is correct but it's the next day. When I did a back up of this install it even used the wrong date on the backup. I have a bunch of small issues that I think with patience I may be able to work around but this clock/date thing has me puzzled. Also has anyone figured out how to put a custom city in for the weather widget and not one of the ones listed but for example a small town (any town) some where in the USA? I could do this on my 1.5 but this weather widget acts like the clock and you can only use their listed cities.

May 19, 2010Supposedly the new version of GDE allows icon packs, but I haven't seen any that are specifically for it and I tried one or two others and they didn't show up in the Icon section of the appearance menu. I have downloaded BetterCut but don't really care to learn how to make my own shortcuts for every app that I want to change the looks of. Do I just wait till someone makes specific packs for GDE or?

May 12, 2010I made some Icons just for fun so I thought I'd share them. Plenty of different Androids in different colors and then you'll find plenty of random things. Also theres one called invisible, I like to keep my main screen as clean and simple as possible. So I used the invisible .png image to create an icon for gmail and texting, the 2 things I use the most. On my main screen I only have a search bar and the two invisible icons, everything else is on other pages. But anyways the invisible one is in there if anyone wants to use it. Use better cut or something like that to use these.
I'm using Nextheme.

I added some PAC-Man style icons, several different characters,and 2 androids and other randoms. I found these and made icons with them, I did not create them.
