What a great phone the HTC Hero is. So how do I get some of my large MP3 music collection on the phone?
Easiest way possible. I hooked up the HTC via the sync software and USB cable and I see F: mounted, but I cannot browse it.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI hate the lock screen on the Hero, I know their is a way to turn it off, but i don't like getting a message and then the phone doing something in my pocket. Is their a way to extract the .apk of the lock screen from the droid, and just install it on the hero, I understand that the resolution on the hero is different, but hate the current lock screen, i have to slide it down 2-3 times for it to recognize. I downloaded lock 2.0 already on the market, its not bad. but it takes 3-4 seconds on my phone to actually give me the slide to unlock screen.

This was one of my favorite apps and now its like it never existed? Does anybody else not see calorie counter when they search for it? View 9 Replies View Relatedso I have all of my .mp3's on my PC by artist, then subfolders, albums. I have retagged them all. I have a total of 15 artists, 26 albums, 340 songs. I dragged and dropped the folders over to the SD card under "Music". I then fire up the music player and my "Now Playing" screen, at the very top, under "Now Playing" it's only showing 1/100. I can scroll through the albums, but it's not listing all of them. How do I get all albums to show on the now playing screen? Or is it even possible? This is driving me nutz!

In looking in the system/app folder one is HTC and the other is Android. But as I mentioned they open the same app. Any explanation on this? Can I delete one?

After successfully following the instructions on how to circumvent the issue,I kind of had a feeling like I should be careful on which apps to download so as to not undo the workaround. (It did eventually happen but I have had to factory reset my Hero only once since then.) That being said, is it now safe to download apps willie nillie?

I am having one issue and that is downloading the HTC battery widget back to my phone, it fails on install. Is that because the battery is being sent to the SD card and it can't run there? Any work around on that? Or is there a better battery app out there to use?
