Rooted my Hero, installed the fresh 2.0d ROM, I have a theme that I just downloaded. How do I flash it my hero? would this process be similar to flashing ROM w/o actually having to wipe? (saving to SD card, power off Hero, boot in recovery, choose theme, allow installation, reboot?)

I rooted my Hero and am pretty happy with the stock 2.1 with wifi and the bulk removed ,are there any themes I can install without putting a custom ROM on it?

How do you exactly install themes on VillainRom 12? I already have the ROM installed but I have no idea how to install a theme. And do I have to wipe my phone again to install it, cause if so, I don't think I wanna go through the process again.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI hate the lock screen on the Hero, I know their is a way to turn it off, but i don't like getting a message and then the phone doing something in my pocket. Is their a way to extract the .apk of the lock screen from the droid, and just install it on the hero, I understand that the resolution on the hero is different, but hate the current lock screen, i have to slide it down 2-3 times for it to recognize. I downloaded lock 2.0 already on the market, its not bad. but it takes 3-4 seconds on my phone to actually give me the slide to unlock screen.

This was one of my favorite apps and now its like it never existed? Does anybody else not see calorie counter when they search for it? After successfully following the instructions on how to circumvent the issue,I kind of had a feeling like I should be careful on which apps to download so as to not undo the workaround. (It did eventually happen but I have had to factory reset my Hero only once since then.) That being said, is it now safe to download apps willie nillie?
