HTC Incredible :: SwiftKey Beta Keyboard In Market
Jul 14, 2010Was formerly using Swype and loved it, but this new keyboard is legit! It practically reads your mind and predicts the next word for you before you even start typing it. Not sure if I'm going to stick with it yet, but definitely going to give it a dry run for a bit.

Feb 22, 2010Is anyone else testing the Swiftkey alpha? It's a new keyboard that's in development. It's quite hard to use at first but now that I'm getting used to it I can say it looks VERY promising. The word prediction is brilliant, and a 1/3 of the time(according to them) it guesses the word correctly. If it doesn't it usually gets it within one or two letters of the next word.
In terms of the ui it's not amazing at the moment, but being only the second alpha release I'm not too bothered, and hopefully they will make the keys a little bigger and make it look nicer overall, a bit like in the image on their website.
They aim to have their keyboards used on android phones by default and I can see that happening the way they're going at the moment

Sep 23, 2010It is only $.94 until 9/30. Great deal for a great keyboard. The predictive text is its best feature. pretty amazing. I could never get on the swype bandwagon myself. This one works best for me. Check it out.

Nov 25, 2009Maybe I'm the only one, but I can't find something that the developer says is there. I'm trying to find FlightTrack and I'm told "There are no matches in Android Market for the search: flighttrack." When I go to the developer's site and scan the 2D barcode and follow the link I'm told "There are no matches in Android Market for the search: pname:com.mobiata.flighttrack"
The developer is talking to Google about it. In the meantime, can some of my fellow Hero owners who took the recent update see if they can see FlightTrack in the Market and report it here? Then I'll know that the problem is either limited to my phone or is a general one for Heros.

Mar 16, 2010If you want the nexus one launcher and you are running 2.1 (damage control/darchdroid) Look for "Helix Launcher" in the market....it is free and can have up to seven screens. Just hit menu, and configure up to seven screens. I just downloaded and it looks pretty sweet so far. I have heard from both 2.0.1 rooted and non rooted users as being able to see this in the market.Please let me know if you can�t. If you have a rooted Android 2.0.1 device and can�t see this app, there is a simple hack you can do to make 2.1 apps viewable and then down loadable in the market.

Aug 24, 2010I just installed cyanogen 6.0 on my htc hero cdma and now I have no market app. I dont have any file manager like astro where I can install apk files through the sdcard. Ive tried using the adb push command from my pc but it says that it couldnt because its a read-only file system. (lost me there!) Nov 19, 2009I have done the latest firmware update and for some reason I can not find the App called Calorie Counter. This was one of my favorite apps and now its like it never existed? Does anybody else not see calorie counter when they search for it? I don't understand how it could just not show up anymore in the market. Now that app won't show up in the market for me.I know I read something about apps not showing up if the ROM is not "signed" by Google, or something. But the zip from Fresh 2.1.2 ends with "_signed_release". So what do you do to get missing apps to show up?

Jun 30, 2010I just rooted my phone yesterday using the method suggested above (xml dev or something like that).. and noticed that my weather never showed up on my home screen. then, after work, i tried to get into my Assistant Free/PageOnce app, also Market & FB.. but says network's not available..
Did i do something wrong? is tethering required after rooting to maintain network access? my texts and calls come through ok. i honestly don't remember if i received my daily agenda via e-mail or not today.

Jun 22, 2010I posted this last night in the regular Sprint HTC forum, but it may be more root related and I thought those of you that frequent this forum may be better at coming up with the fix. Had to RUU back to 1.5, then re-rooted and restored back to a nandroid of ZenROM. Market has always worked fine, until after this process yesterday.I am able to search the market, it says the app will download, but never does. All my contacts are there, web works, email works, I have rebooted, restored to a different Nandroid still hangs at starting download. Googling turns up a few responses regarding British users having their gmail adresses wrong "googlemail" vs "gmail" but that isn't the issue here.One possibility.when I RUU'd back to 1.5, I MAY have accidently typed the gmail address incorrectly...(I have two that are similar except for one digit) But when I restored back to the ROM I'm using, it shows the correct address in the accounts and sync area. This is the only thing I can think of.
