View 27 RepliesFound a few threads about people having problems transferring their phonebook to their hands free kit in their automobile. Had the same problem myself - was able to connect and pair with the car kit. I was able to make and receive calls, but didn't have the phonebook.
Then yesterday, while setting in the car, I was going to re-pair the connection between the phone and car I noticed that in the Notification Bar that the car was asking permission to receive the phonebook from the phone. Opened the Notification and granted permission and clicked on always grant access (or something similar). Phonebook was then transfered. Haven't had a problem with it since...
I purchased a new Sprint HTC Hero a couple of days ago.I have been pleased except for one small problem. While I can get the Hero to connect to my Chrysler Uconnect handsfree system over bluetooth, it does not seem to transfer the phone book over to the device. I cannot find an automatic or manual setting to send the phone book over.I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue?
View 12 Replies View RelatedWhen my car bluetooth downloads the phonebook from my captivate, it downloads some contacts, but doesn't download the ones from my exchange server. They show up fine in the contacts app, but the car doesn't receive them. I thought it might be an issue with the way they were put into the contacts, so I undid the built in android exchange account, deleted the contacts, then installed touchdown and populated it that way. Still no joy. I thought that originally it was downloading them correctly (using the built in exchange sync) but either stopped working correctly, or never was and I just now noticed it.

When I turn the car on, I want to transfer from the phone to the bluetooth in the car/nav. unit.If I'm in my car, I can call/receive phone calls fine, but I can't figure out how to transfer a call to my car bluetooth, when I get in and I'm ready to drive off. Instead, I have to tell the person, I'll call them right back, as I have to make the call from the bluetooth setup.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI just go the Droid and it sync's great with my car's blue tooth (2009 BMW) but I cannot seem to get the phone book transferred. It says transferring but nothing ever happens, just seems to show the revolving circle on my BT showing it is working but that is all. Battery seems to drain pretty fast in the car now too like this. Is there something I am doing wrong here causing the phone book to not transfer?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got the Sony Xplod MEX-BT5700U head unit installed in my car.
It works great! Sound is awesome, and it connects both BT Audio and BT phone.
Here's the problem I'm having... In trying to copy the phonebook to the head unit.
When I start the transfer, nothing happens. No notification on the droid, or anything at all.
While further troubleshooting, I took a look at the Bluetooth Status screen. It shows XPLOD: Connected Audio & Phone.
When I start the PB transfer (from the Xplod) -- It shows:
XPLOD: Paired, but not connected.
I try to reconnect them, but until I exit the PB Transfer screen on the Xplod, it just won't connect.
I found a few threads about the D3 and nothing with the f900BT. So here is one that is specific. Also none, of those for the D3 was for the Incredible. I paired the Incredible with the AVIC successfully. However, when I try to import the contacts I quickly get an error pop up that reads "No Telephone Number" and it fails. This has me very confused and I have tried repairing the phone several times to get it to work with no success. If anyone has been able to pair their Incredible with this b900BT head unit and import their contacts successfully, I have the latest 3.00001 download installed on my AVIC.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter I updated to 2.1 i cant see the phonebook any longer in my car (BMW 1 serie with IDRIVE and bluetooth). With 1.6 I could chose a contact and then dial directly, or import the phone number (however it was not as great as the old symbian OS where you even could navigate directly to a contact). Is it someone that has any idea of a good app or something that makes this possible (maybe a Symbian simulator :-)).
I have also realized that the connection (dB) has decreased with the new OS. I even loos connection on the E4, with this phone (Xperia X10 mini Pro).
I got the G1 for Christmas and I tried to use bluetooth on it to transfer a song I had on it to my freind's G1 and I couldn't find out how ro do it. View 1 Replies View RelatedI've checked the option on the phone for the FTP folder. I have made the phone discoverable, and then been able to see it on the Mac. I go through the whole thing on the Mac, enter the codes on the screen, etc. but it then gives me a warning on the Mac that my phone doesn't have any bluetooth profiles, and then simply says that the devices are paired, but not connected.I heard the Hero had all sorts of problems connecting with a Mac to transfer files, but one would think this new Evo would work, given the FTP folder option. Anybody have any ideas? Have you tried it on a Mac, and been able to get it to work?
