Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 :: Rooted - Cant Install Anything From App Store Because It Force Closes

I just rooted my X10 mini pro today using the one touch root app, but i'm having really bad/annoying problems with it only things i have removed or changed is i removed some of the telstra apps that came on it and the games that had expired before i bought the phone.
But now i cant install anything from the app store because it force closes every time i try, it froze up on me earlier and the only way i could get it back was to pull the battery and since then none of the google app suite work, i tried to hard reset the phone back to factory by booting holding the app+back+power keys but that only booted into safe mode, i cant find any restore factory settings option anywhere.

A friend of mine has a Galaxy SII (Tmobile version) and her play store force closes. In an attempt to solve this issue, she has cleared data and cache from google play services, as well as google play store. I also advised her to delete her google account from her device, then sign back in. Neither of those worked. Also, download manager is enabled.

Force Closure.
Is this a great error message. When I retry 15-20 times, it does not work still.

I seem to have quite a big problem, which renders my Mediascape pretty useless. The short version is that after mediascape has been playing music for appr. 5-10 minutes, it closes down and of course the music stops. Now does this suck bad or what? I've just tested this by leaving the phone lying on the desk playing music, and even then it just stops after a while. Does anyone have the slightest clue to why it's doing this? Anyone experiencing something similar. This is a very big issue imo. I could mention that I'm using the Timescape home screen, since I'm kinda "testing" the features of this phone... I have only been able to reproduce this error using the Timescape home screen - using the normal homescreen I've been playing music normally. So what's this SE.

My Xperia Ray has 44 MB free Phone space and 75 MB free Memory Card space. But I am not able to install a 6 MB app from the play store. I am also not able to update the existing google maps(5 MB update).
I have tried turning the phone off/on. I have tried installing/ updating apps repeatedly. No change. I'll be happy if I can find a solution without rooting my phone.

I just bought Sony Xperia S from online shop, when i use the phone i realize the phone does not have Play Store, so i decided to install it by myself. When i try to open the application, the Play Store will suddenly close. Until now i can't download anything from my phone via Play Store.

OK so someone on my other forum was having problems with where to store videos on the SD card so that Mediascape can 'see' them. Easy I thought, but I spoke too soon. So now I bow to someone else's superior knowledge, where the heck do you store them? Tried Video, Media, getting desperate DCIM file and just plain old root of the SD card.I know 3rd party apps can find them... got MixZing and it found it no problem from the video file.

Can someone help me. I turned on the playnow in mediascape and now it always force closes because of playnow. Is there a way to turn off playnow or fix the problem in anyway? A hard reset maybe?

I updated my x10a to 2.1 last week and i noticed sms and handcent keep freezing up. I uninstalled handcent and it's still doing it. my x10a is Rogers branded and rooted.

I upgraded firmware to R2BA023 yesterday and everything seems to work fine until today.
Whenever i open mediascape, i get 'the application playnow (process com.sonyericsson.playnonowstore.android) has stopped unexpectedly, please try again. i have tried these options below but nothing works
- from manage applications
. mediascape --> clear data, clear cache, force stop
. mediascape plug-in manager --> clear data, clear cache, force stop
. playnow --> UNABLE to clear data ??
- recycle phone a few times --> power off and on
- delete task manager to make sure this app is not auto-killing mediascape
I get the force close pop-up everytime i launch mediascape. i supposed i can do a HARD reset, but i try to avoid this as i have to re-install everything.

I was reading here that the X10 has been rooted, the only problem seems to be is that it requires an expensive SE-Tool hardware adapter dongle.Decrypted x10 roms - Page 3 - xda-developers.

I couldn't find any incoming mail in the inbox after opening them. Does it mean that the inbox doesn't store the incoming mail or they are "hiding" in other folders? Please help me how to have the incoming mails back into the inbox folder.

My swype that I side loaded has expired. I've been searching for the update and I am assuming I have the correct file "Swype_1.60.36.8214_WVGA854_En_Ru" Because the X10 is 480x854, but for some reason it keeps force closing, even when I'm not trying to send a message. P.S. And before and one says "Swype should have e-mailed you an update", I never registered for the Beta.

For some reason, everytime I try to access my Mediascape it gives me an error message saying that "The application Playnow(process com.sonyericson.playnowstore.andriod) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Then it makes me force close. I have tried to reset the phone to factory setting as recommend by sony and it is still not working. Can anybody help?

I bought my xperia mini pro 2 weeks ago, and it never be able to install any applications.
There is no android market icon on home screen so i searched "android market" on internet and using internet browse version.
I can access android market (androidzoom?) and find applicatin, but it says " yo do not have permission to open this page. market://~~~(url)".
I can do nothing without applications...

For some weird reason my phonebook stopped working today. When I clicked on the name, instead of loading up the contacts details, it just froze. When I help the name for a while, a menu would pop up and as soon as I entered view contact details, it forced closed. I deleted the app, in the hopes that I could re-install it from Titanium, but that didn't happen. I've checked the market but cant seem to find it. I don't have to go through the entire root procedure again?

Using Astro. Long press on a file, select "send as", then "Bluetooth" and it just force closes every time.
Other than using Astro, anybody know other ways of Bluetoothing a file?

Love the X10 but cannot get mediascape to work, get force close message each time. Sony not responded to any of my emails and when I called they were not that helpful, could only suggest I restore to factory settings. Do not really want to do that.

I have been waiting and reading for months with regard to getting a new phone. I currently have an old Nokia N96 so any modern phone will be an upgrade, however I need to mae sure that the new phone has at least the same quality camer and video recorder as my N96. I had almost set my self on the Iphone 4 but luckily I waited an what a good choice that was with all the problems the iphone 4 is having. So yet again I started looking and have always liked the x10 because of its build and camera but hated it because of it having old 1.6 android and no hd recording or flash. Then suddenly I read the somone has managed to root the x10 and so im guessing that it wont be long until 2.2 with flash and hd recording and multitouch is released ?

I recently rooted my x10. Everything is going awesome so far except one thing. I have no idea where my voice search went. I re-flashed it with an unbranded rom (R2BA026) and voice search is missing! I don't know where to go from here.

No idea if anyone knows or if theres any info out there as haven't been able to do so myself as yet - but hey, i'm northern and stupid so probably looking in the wrong place, An absolutely awesome user on here - Android Forums - View Profile: X10iUser - showed me how to do the rooting and offered some new fonts which i was really after. However after watching THIS. http://www.go2album.com/showAlbum/387996. i really think i wanna change the whole style of the phone - the question is, how do i do this. can it be done from a one click app root or do i need to do it "properly" Even if its just getting rid of the CRAP blue UI i will be happy as i ONLY use EMAIL and SETTINGS menu from the stock sony UI.
