Jul 4, 2010Just recently update my phone to the latest build. Now TrackID force closes every time I try to use it. Is anybody else having this issue. or bet yet a solution? I have tried re-installing update.

Sep 10, 2010I just rooted my X10 mini pro today using the one touch root app, but i'm having really bad/annoying problems with it only things i have removed or changed is i removed some of the telstra apps that came on it and the games that had expired before i bought the phone.
But now i cant install anything from the app store because it force closes every time i try, it froze up on me earlier and the only way i could get it back was to pull the battery and since then none of the google app suite work, i tried to hard reset the phone back to factory by booting holding the app+back+power keys but that only booted into safe mode, i cant find any restore factory settings option anywhere.

I have re-installed the app but the problem still persists. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 : Mediascape Closes After Appr. 5 Minutes
Apr 9, 2010I seem to have quite a big problem, which renders my Mediascape pretty useless. The short version is that after mediascape has been playing music for appr. 5-10 minutes, it closes down and of course the music stops. Now does this suck bad or what? I've just tested this by leaving the phone lying on the desk playing music, and even then it just stops after a while. Does anyone have the slightest clue to why it's doing this? Anyone experiencing something similar. This is a very big issue imo. I could mention that I'm using the Timescape home screen, since I'm kinda "testing" the features of this phone... I have only been able to reproduce this error using the Timescape home screen - using the normal homescreen I've been playing music normally. So what's this SE.

Jul 8, 2010I upgraded firmware to R2BA023 yesterday and everything seems to work fine until today.
Whenever i open mediascape, i get 'the application playnow (process com.sonyericsson.playnonowstore.android) has stopped unexpectedly, please try again. i have tried these options below but nothing works
- from manage applications
. mediascape --> clear data, clear cache, force stop
. mediascape plug-in manager --> clear data, clear cache, force stop
. playnow --> UNABLE to clear data ??
- recycle phone a few times --> power off and on
- delete task manager to make sure this app is not auto-killing mediascape
I get the force close pop-up everytime i launch mediascape. i supposed i can do a HARD reset, but i try to avoid this as i have to re-install everything.

I've been searching for the update and I am assuming I have the correct file "Swype_1.60.36.8214_WVGA854_En_Ru" Because the X10 is 480x854, but for some reason it keeps force closing, even when I'm not trying to send a message. P.S. And before and one says "Swype should have e-mailed you an update", I never registered for the Beta.

Aug 5, 2010For some weird reason my phonebook stopped working today. When I clicked on the name, instead of loading up the contacts details, it just froze. When I help the name for a while, a menu would pop up and as soon as I entered view contact details, it forced closed. I deleted the app, in the hopes that I could re-install it from Titanium, but that didn't happen. I've checked the market but cant seem to find it. I don't have to go through the entire root procedure again?

Dec 3, 2010I am planning to buy a 32 gb micro sdhc card for my Xperia X10.However, I have found tons of confusing and conflicting information here on SE forums and all over the net.To my surprise, even Sony Ericsson itself giving conflicting information regarding this.On the product page of Xperia X10 (click this link and click on the specifications), it says that Xperia X10 supports microSD up to 16GB only.Whereas the official Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper (on page no.5) says that it supports -microSD, up to 32 GB. (The Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 White paper can be downloaded from this link).Now i urge someone, preferably an SE moderator or staff, to enlighten on this matter and answer how and why SE is giving contradictory and confusing statements regarding the sd card capability and compatibility for the same product?.

Jul 29, 2010So I did some modding (unfortunately) to the framework-res.apk file and it worked the first time and a few other times but then I changed something and now when I turn on the phone it freezes at the "Sony Ericsson" screen before the logo. What do I do?
I tried pushing the backup framework file but it says "failed to copy framework-res.apk to /sdcard/framework-res.apk: Permission denied
However, when I use adb devices, it does show my device as being attached.
So what can I do now?
I was also able to pull files...
Also tried manually putting the framework-res.apk in the sdcard and then using adb to copy it to the framework folder. Doesnt work. Saids that the directory cannot be open for read. I guess the device cant read the SD card until it boots up.

Dec 2, 2010I'd like to use my X10 to keep all of my contacts' postal addresses in instead of the tatty old address book I carry in my handbag(!) I didn't fancy typing them all into the phone, so thought I would use the Sony Ericsson sync and put them into the pc first via the PC Companion sync application, and set up the sync to transfer them into my phone. I have tried a test run adding only a couple of addresses to my contacts on the pc, and adding one to my phone, but when I do a sync, the addresses don't transfer either way. I know that the actual sync is working because I added photos too and they transfer....... I must be doing something wrong that is easily rectified?

Oct 8, 2009I'm getting reports from users about force closes in my app after the donut OTA. One of them was kind enough to send me a logcat which included these two gems (right after he installed it from market):

The second one makes sense, since that name has gone away. But I can't figure out why the first one would show up, since that permission should exist on the phone. anybody got any clues? I can't reproduce this on my phone, so it's kinda hard to debug.

Sprint HTC Hero :: Everything Force Closes
Apr 30, 2010I've had this phone for about a month now. No problems whatsoever, until the other day. My phone was turned off. Then, it "magically" turn on ans started ringing. I turned my phone back off for a while. Later, I turned it back on and the second the home screen pops up, like 10 force close screens pop up. I can't text, internet, nothing. No settings either. I click the phone tab at the bottom and another force screen pops up, same as everything else. It also shows I have no signal at all, when normally I have almost full bars. A few days prior to this, my phone would phase in and out of service for no reason.
