A friend of mine has a Galaxy SII (Tmobile version) and her play store force closes. In an attempt to solve this issue, she has cleared data and cache from google play services, as well as google play store. I also advised her to delete her google account from her device, then sign back in. Neither of those worked. Also, download manager is enabled.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI just rooted my X10 mini pro today using the one touch root app, but i'm having really bad/annoying problems with it only things i have removed or changed is i removed some of the telstra apps that came on it and the games that had expired before i bought the phone.
But now i cant install anything from the app store because it force closes every time i try, it froze up on me earlier and the only way i could get it back was to pull the battery and since then none of the google app suite work, i tried to hard reset the phone back to factory by booting holding the app+back+power keys but that only booted into safe mode, i cant find any restore factory settings option anywhere.
I keep trying to download stuff and it gives me the error DF-BPA-10. I have force stopped, cleared the cache and data, uninstalled play updates and it still doesn't work.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have recently received a Daxian XY100S and can't make Google Play Store to work. When it opens, it closes in a second. I can't sign in to Chrome and YouTube. I rooted it and I removed all the Chinese apps and it is still not working. Download Manager has been always enabled.
What else can I do to make it work?There have been installed an alternative chinese store app, I thought it were conflicting with Play Store but I uninstalled it and it is still not good.
Few weeks ago I had updated my Android version to 2.3.6 (with a rom from this forum, not via Samsung Kies), and now, my Google Play Store isn't working anymore, I can't download/update apps, If I click on Install or Update the loadbar stays loading, but there happens nothing.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI havn't found a solution to my particular issue with the Play Store:I'm always getting the error message "no connection". Even though it's not a connectivity issue related to my IP or whatsoever: I can with no issues access the playstore via the browser. I have:
- cleared the cache and deleted the date of Google Play
- deleted all data in use at Google Services
- uninstalled Google Play Updates
- uninstalled Google Play and installed a .apk I downloaded from the web
- tried the market enabler app - even though I wasn't expecting any improvement from that move
- updated from 4.3 to 4.4
Google Play still tells me to have "no connection".What else can I try besides resetting my phone?
I have a Sprint Samsung Galaxy s3 and a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. The Play Store stopped working on both devices 2 days ago at the same time. Play Store from the both devices shows I have no apps installed. When I go to the ALL tab I get the following message "Error retrieving information from server. [RPC:S-5:AEC-0]". I get this on both devices. If I look at an app that I already purchased it shows that I have not purchased it. If I try to purchase it I get this message "Error retrieving information from server. [BM-PPH-01]". I can't install them to my devices from the play store via my PC either. I have tried clearing cache and data, deleting my Google account from phone and tablet then setting them up again. Date is correct on both devices.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy s3 and i am banging my head against the wall because Play store won't open or do anything when connected to my wifi. it is however functional when wifi is turned off and only mobile data is active. Things i've tried (and still not working)
1. Cleared cache and data for Play store, google services, download manager and download.
2. uninstalled updates
3. Have tried seeing if anything has disabled and it hasn't, the last app on my 'all' is you tube
4. reset my phone to factory settings.
I feel like a pleb as I had this problem when I first got the phone but the clearing cache and data worked then and was fine for weeks but now nothing seems to work.
I am very new to custom ROMs. I have just installed a custom ROM from Clockworkmod for my LG e970 4.0.4
After installing whenever I try to open Google Play Store it displays the message "unfortunately, google play store has stopped"
So I searched and tried deleting cache, deleting data for Play Storeand rebooting the phone. But those haven't worked for me.
I am thinking of Restoring the backup I took using CWM prior to the custom ROM.
My mom bought a $200 tablet from some no name company named linsay. It's model is a Cosmos F-10HD. It's an all right little tablet but it comes without the play store. When I try simply installing the play store apk it works for a while until i try to actually get an app but then it crashes and i can no longer open the store. I think this may be due to read write permissions but I don't think I can modify those without root access. So is there some way to get the play store working properly on this tablet without root access? And if not is there some way I can root this device and then install it?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm currently having some issues with my S4 mini, as stated in the title, the phone does not save messages or calls. I can still send and call, but nothing is ever recorded.
At the same time this started to occur my play store stopped working, just getting the "no connection, Reconnect"
I am using the stock app from samsung for calls and messages. Factory reset is something i would like to avoid.
I'm having a weird issue where after I successfully rooted my Samsung Galaxy S3 (following a guide from androidcentral) every time my phone encounters an application force close, the phone will freeze up and eventually restart. Before rooting my phone, whenever an application would force close all I would get was a notification telling me <application name> had closed unexpectedly, as it should in Android. Now I'm not seeing that, phone just goes to black and then restarts. This wouldn't be a huge deal, but since I'm using it as a development platform, having your phone restart every time your application crashes takes a lot of time.
What's really weird is that Logcat will continue to scroll (in Eclipse) even after the phone is frozen to input (so its not a system wide lock up).
I just flashed 4.2.1 on my phone and found that PhotoSphere force closes whenever I choose it in the Camera app. adb logcat reveals something like:

I cannot find the source of LightCycle on the web, but apparently, it seems to be a permission issue because it says "E/LightCycle-storage( 2892): Sessions root directory could not be created.".
I got the trebuchet launcher apk and installed it. But when I try to add widgets, trebuchet launcher force closes
I fixed the permissions to rw-r-r

My Google play store randomly stopped working earlier today. It isn't closing or crashing. It is just endlessly loading. No time out message or error message. Tried with both 4g and wifi. I am using a Galaxy s3 on Verizon, jelly bean 4.3. The only thing I noticed is that Clash of Clans updated this morning but I was able to get on and download the update and then get back on play store but like not long after that it won't open.

I have this problem with my friends galaxy ace GT-S5839i: here because I don't know what to do I pulled the file framework-res.apk from system and then changed the extension to zip, and changed an image inside one of the folders.
After that I zipped the pack again (tried several zip options) and changed the extension back to apk My first question: Is this ok?
I copied the changed file to sdcard and using es explorer moved the file to system/framework. Imediately After answering if I wanted to overwrite the phone freezes and never booted again.
I restored the rom and tried several times with same result I tought the problem would be trying to overwrite a file that's in use but then I found a tool the decompiled the original apk, changed the image, compiled and signed it and made a flashable zip of it.
It gsve always error in trying to flash this on recovery so I extrated the compiled and signed new framwork apk and moved it to system with es explorer... The difference now is that it didn't froze the phone but started to show fc's everywhere. Rebooted, wipede cash and dalvik, messed up woth permissions... Everything I could think of and the result os always tbe same...
I have a replacement incredible, but over the last week I'm getting more and more force closes than I did with the first one.

I'm getting reports from users about force closes in my app after the donut OTA. One of them was kind enough to send me a logcat which included these two gems (right after he installed it from market):

The second one makes sense, since that name has gone away. But I can't figure out why the first one would show up, since that permission should exist on the phone. anybody got any clues? I can't reproduce this on my phone, so it's kinda hard to debug.
Some of my users are reporting force closes. Does anyone have some ideas about how to track these issues down when I can't reproduce them in the Emulator or on my Hero? This is my app btw if anyone wants to logcat it for me:

I just got my Legend today. Had many problems getting it to work on Tmobile US. Finally got it working, but now I can not personalize it. Everytime I go to Menu-Settings-Personalize- either Scenes, Home wallpaper or Lock screen Wallpaper I get a Force Close. My Sotware information is:

I've had this phone for about a month now. No problems whatsoever, until the other day. My phone was turned off. Then, it "magically" turn on ans started ringing. I turned my phone back off for a while. Later, I turned it back on and the second the home screen pops up, like 10 force close screens pop up. I can't text, internet, nothing. No settings either. I click the phone tab at the bottom and another force screen pops up, same as everything else. It also shows I have no signal at all, when normally I have almost full bars. A few days prior to this, my phone would phase in and out of service for no reason.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI figured I might try starting something up for those who are having problems with Launcher Pro. It's a great home replacement and has far better functionality than Sense does IMO. The only issue is that it seems like some people are getting a lot of FC's.
I had a good week long run without any FC's, and then after an upgrade it seems like they're back.
If anyone has found any malicious widgets or apps that don't play nicely with LP, can you please post them up here?
Anyone noticing a ridiculous amount of force closes on LP+ while running CM6? I originally was on the newest "stable" build, go ta lot of FCs, so updated to the 9/25, still getting the FC's. Then went back to the stable one, updated LP in the market, and still getting the FC's.

Then I restored with the RUU and put Fresh 1.1 on my phone. I want to switch to MoDaCo 2.2 but when I do I'm getting those force closes again.

We have had a couple users on the myTouch phone have issues in our application. It apparently is force closing on them. I am not sure of why it is, and the 1.6 SDK is not out yet. Has 1.6 been released into the wild? If so, do you know where I can download the image for my G1 dev phone to test w/?
